He hops side to side while he plays and rough houses with all of his foster siblings and has even gotten used to the large breed dogs in the home. Ahh Shucks can be a little on the shy side and will require a little time to adjust in his new environment- due to his shy nature, he is required to go home with another cat or to a home with an established feline friend that can help him continue to grow and gain confidence. He should do well with kids of any age, and even cat-savvy dogs given proper introductions and supervision. His foster mom knows that one look at this guy and you'll say "Ahh Shucks, look how cute!" Meet Candyman. Candyman is a 2-year old neutered male. He is microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations. Candyman is also FIV/FeLV negative! Candyman is a gentle, shy sweetheart who just needs a little patience to show you his softer side. If you approach too quickly, he’ll scamper off—but give him a moment (and maybe a treat or two), and he’ll come right back, rolling over and leaning into pets like he’s known you forever. He has a playful streak, especially when it comes to anything fuzzy—feather toys, fuzzy mice, soft kickers, you name it. When he’s not playing, you can usually find him perched in a windowsill, watching the world go by. Candyman is currently in a foster home with other cats and truly thrives in their company, so he will need to go to a home with another friendly feline. He also lives with dogs and is often caught rubbing against them, so a calm, cat-savvy dog companion should be just fine. Candyman would do best in a quieter home with older, respectful kids (10+) who can give him space when he needs it and love when he asks for it. Max is a 1.5 year old neutered male. He is current on his vaccinations, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative! Meet Max! Max is a handsome guy who is ready to find a loving and understanding forever family who can provide him with the time and space while he adjusts in a new environment. When he first arrived at the shelter, he was very nervous and unsure about his surroundings and it did take him some time to adjust. Once he is comfortable with his surroundings, he is a sweet and low-key guy who enjoys spending time with his favorite people while getting slow, gentle pets. He does prefer his solitude just as much at times and enjoys spending his days leisurely exploring his surroundings, batting around his toys on occasion, or hopping up in the windows. Max is a shy guy who does prefer his independence at times and will let it be known when that is the case. So, he would do best in a cat savvy home with older children at least 8 years of age or older who can respect his space when needed and are able to understand his cues. He may do ok with other calm and respectful pets in the home given slow and proper introductions to one another. Meet Tripp – the three-legged champ in training! Tripp may be just six months old, but he’s already proven he’s tougher (and funnier!) than most cats twice his age. This gray and white fluffball came to us with a broken leg that will soon be amputated — but don’t feel sorry for him! Tripp has already mastered the art of making the best of everything. His favorite trick? Dipping his bum leg into his water dish and licking the water off his paw! It’s both hilarious and adorable. Once his surgery is complete, Tripp will recover quickly — either in a foster home or with his forever family. This sweet, resilient kitten will hop right into your heart and remind you every day that nothing can keep a good cat down.
