Sugarplum is a beautiful 4½-year-old, medium-haired, all-white cat with a gentle soul and a heart full of quiet love. She came to the shelter through animal control along with her kittens. While her babies went into foster care to continue growing and being socialized, Sugarplum stayed behind and received the medical care she needed. We’re happy to say she has made a full recovery and is doing absolutely amazing!Sugarplum is a calm and shy girl who prefers to take things at her own pace. With patience, kindness, and a little time, her sweet personality truly shines. She does well with other cats and may enjoy a feline companion. We are unsure how she feels about dogs, so any introductions to new pets should always be slow and closely supervised to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort.This lovely lady is looking for a peaceful home where she can feel safe, loved, and understood. He is happily living in a permanent foster home with another FIV+ cat, SWEETIE. HISTORY: MOOSE and his siblings were rescued at 2 weeks old. He was raised in foster care with another kitten HEIDI, with whom he  bonded. The pair was adopted together in December 2018 but returned years later when their person could no longer care for them.TEMPERAMENT: As a kitten, MOOSE loved playing hard, then snuggling up to his favorite person. MOOSE grew up into a large “rough and tumble” Tuxi who is not a fan of other male cats. However he remains a snuggle buddy for his BFF HEIDI.  He also loves being petted and brushed by his human friends. HISTORY: LAVENDER was rescued as a stray in need of medical care for a fungal infection. TEMPERAMENT: During LAVENDER's recovery at our shelter, she made friends with another semi-feral kitty named ELIXIR. The pair spent time together in a foster home where they became more comfortable with people. They are currently kenneled together while awaiting adoption. HISTORY: ELIXIR was living as a pregnant stray in Sombrillo when trapped and brought to F&F to help her obtain medical care and find a home. TEMPERAMENT: Initially, ELIXIR mostly hid her face and did not welcome human attention. With time, ELIXIR grew more comfortable with her caregivers, learning to trust and accept treats. When ELIXIR was joined by another young cat, the cats took to each other immediately, snuggling together.  In foster, ELIXIR became more confident by the day. She enjoys sleeping in cat trees but also can be playful and active. ELIXIR's favorite is a toy mouse on a wand. She asks for pets and also loves being brushed.
