Story
Ying arrived at Paws Animal Shelter when his former owner was killed in an auto accident. He needs a new loving home. Ying is very friendly and loves treats! He was obviously used to getting a lot of attention and misses that. It would be wonderful if he could find a new family. If you can take in a loving cat who just wants another person or family to love him, please consider Ying. I put that Ying has special needs, because he has a bone marrow issue, but it is easily treated with daily medication. Ying is a favorite with all our regular volunteers and staff because of his sweet, loving nature. Note from Paws humans: To apply to adopt any of our cats or kittens, please visit our website and fill out our on-line application at https://www.pawsurbana.org/apply-to-adopt.

Story
I am being showcased by the Humane Society of Morrow County in an effort to find me a permanent home. My mom was missing when we were found, and my sibling and I were way too young to be on our own. I am now healthy and happy and thriving due to the great care we received. They say I am as cute as a button and have a personality to match. I am small but mighty, curious but can be mellow, playful yet gentle and just plain sweet! Looking for my furever home with just the right person to make my own. Here are my highlights: I am a spayed female born in male June 2025. I have been wormed, negative tested for FLV/FIV, vaccinated with the Felovax or FVRP vaccine. I am microchipped. I am good with other cats but not fond of dogs. My caregivers feel in time I would adjust fine in a dog home however. I am active, curious, sweet and beg for attention from whomever will offer it to me.

FELV+ FIV+DOB: 3/25/2024 One of the biggest misconceptions about feline leukemia, which suppresses a cat’s immune system, is that it is an automatic death sentence. There are many variables, however, that come into play that determine how FeLV will affect a particular cat.  To learn more about this condition visit:  https://resources.bestfriends.org/article/feline-leukemia-felv-faqs Feline Immunodeficiency Virus positive cats can live normal lives both in quality and duration. They do take special care in terms of monitoring them for signs of infection.  FIV can be passed from cat to cat via deep bite wounds, but not from casual contact so positive cats can live with negative cats without the fear of spreading FIV as long as they get along and are spayed/neutered.
