ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS NOW - read bio To read the full bio, go to www.rockersrescue.org and click on adoptable pets to be sure you are reading all details. We are located around Shreveport, Louisiana and generally have adoption meets inside one of our adoption partners locations which are Hollywood Feed, Shreveport or in PetSmart, Shreveport.  BORN: Day before Easter Sunday, so April 19, 2025.  Momma L'Oreal - she has the looks of a Snowshoe cat and is also more medium hair like that of a Ragdoll. Her breeds listed are just guesses based on her appearance. The babies would be a mix of her and a mystery father.  Aussie (male) Appearance: White with black splotches on face/head/back/and tail. He has more fluffy hair similar to mom. It may go whispy as he grows or may go more medium like moms. We always joked that his Aussie name was fitting for the dog pattern too, with all his cute splotches. Aussie is the largest kitten of the bunch. Real sweet. Will cuddle but does love to play. He's always finding something to get into and explore. Voted most curious of the bunch. Garnier (female) - Appearance: Snowshoe Siamese. Garnier started off as a blonde baby and has been getting darker as she ages. Many Siamese will darken to an almost chocolately black even. It is possible for Garnier to become very dark as she ages, it just depends. She may even have some of moms sable color and then darken on the face and ears. Garnier so far is independent until she's ready for a snuggle. She wants to be running around playing. When she's tuckered out, she usually goes and cuddles on her human. She's currently not a big fan of being grabbed and picked up, she would rather run and play. Voted most playful. This girl is most likely to be on the run to play.  Pantene (female) - Appearance: Tuxedo appearance. Black with white on her chest/belly/ and paws. She even has a cute little white strip on her chin. Pantene is our tiniest kitten. When she was a tiny baby, one of her eyes had an eye irritation causing it to be cloudy for a bit. We took her to the vet and they felt like there was no damage to the eye itself and that it should continue clearing up with our eye med we had. As of right now her eye is SO much better. The cloudiness cleared up. We've noticed her squint just here and there but overall she's looking great. She's a sweet girl. Likes to play but more dainty and laid back compared to the others. She enjoys napping with her momma kitty. She would likely love a snuggle buddy. Voted most dainty and to be found cat napping in comfort.  Suave (male)- Appearance: Gray with white spots on his feet/belly/chest and chin. Suave is outgoing and playful. He thinks every day is wrestle mania! He has been making a fun big brother for the other siblings. He will cuddle at times but he has more fun going to play. Voted the team wrestle champion. He knows how to have a good time.  Tresemme (female) Appearance: Darker Gray with white strip up face. White on chest/feet/ chin also. She even has this adorable white tip on her tail! Tresemme has a cute little rounded face. Sweet and also active and playful. We call her and Suave twinkies since theyre our two gray ones. Tresemme is usually following her siblings around to play. Voted runner up. She's usually second in line for whatever mischief is afoot.    ------------- Theyre using the litter box. Eating purina indoor kitten chow hard food. Getting canned kitten food too. Good with other kitties and around a 11yr old. These are babies..theyre going to be scared of dogs or new animals at first. They will take time to adapt and then should be fine so long as the other animal is respectful. Children also have to learn to be respectful to any new kitties. STORY: When we rescued Momma L'Oreal from the shelter, she was sick and on medicine. She had her little babies much quicker than we all expected. Mom was very scrawny and her white fur was stained. She looked like a hot mess. She gave birth the day before Easter Sunday, to 6 little babies. We sadly ended up losing our little runt, whom we named Paul Mitchell. That left us with the 5 cuties below. Pantene, Tresemme, Suave, Aussie, and Garnier. Mom has some bad teeth, so we brought her and babies to the vet for a check up. Our babies are now ready for adoption and mom will continue working on getting big and healthy and have a dental done. At our vet check up, all the kittens were looking great and we did check in on Pantenes eye at the time which is looking much improved now. We are happy to begin accepting apps for our sweet shampoo babies! ------------ Note: We do not approve of declawing. So if you wish to do that, please do not apply. Keep in mind the financial needs for the kitten/cats. Kittens require multiple shot sets to be safe. They will have at least 2 sets before leaving us.  This kitten is also to be indoors only. If you want an outdoors or indoor/outdoor kitty let us know and we can direct you. MEDICAL:   Kitten will have at least 2 rounds of vaccinations/booster vaccines. (Vets give at least 3-4 sets, each set being a certain amount of weeks apart.) The young kittens generally get their rabies vaccine at their spay/neuter appointment which is explained below. Dewormed. On monthly flea/tick prevention. When you adopt, you will get a folder with their medical records to bring to your vet.  Kitten will be microchipped. It is via Petlink and there are NO fees. It is a lifetime registration and our rescue donations will have already paid for it. SPAY/NEUTER: If you adopt a kitten you will be legally obligated to bring to our spay/neuter appointment that we schedule for them around 4 months of age at Robinsons Rescue in Shreveport. We cover that fee with donations unless you would like to help support our rescue and donate toward it yourself. The fee is around $38 for males and $48 for females, plus a $10 rabies vaccine f.  The only exception to this is if we approve for you to cover the fee at your own vet, but the timing still stands.  ADOPTION: $60 adoption donation for approved application. Our rescue spends a LOT more than this fee on each life, but it is a way to help give back some to go towards the next life we help.  We are a 501c3 non profit that is 100% volunteer run. We function solely on donations from kind people. If you wish to donate more or continue following/supporting us over time, we would appreciate your continued love to help our organization save lives.  Adoption Process Summary: You apply. We will email or call if we have any questions. Upon app approval, we would schedule a day we all meet at PetSmart Shreveport or Hollywood Feed Shreveport. At that meet we would all make sure that you feel the pet is a good match for your home. If so, we run the adoption. You fill out our contract, pay your donation fee, and receive your folder with their medical records. You must bring a pet carrier to this appointment because your pet will go home with you that day if we all feel it is a great match. Woohoo!  We take your adoption picture and you head off with your new furry friend! We can often provide adoption coupons too!    HOW TO APPLY:  Go to  https://www.rockersrescue.org/info/adoption  and find the CAT APP. Please include as much about yourself as possible. Some people applying like to send an email with pictures of their home/pets/ or family. Email is rockersrescue@gmail.com  Our Rockers Rescue pets are currently in foster homes that help us save lives. When you choose to adopt from a rescue, you help open space for us to save another life in need. Thank you for considering adoption! Let us know if you have any questions. Thanks!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 21, 2025, 3:15 pm

Story
Meet Checkers! This sweet 6-year-old boy has been with us since June 2019—almost his whole life!   Checkers is a gentle, affectionate cat who enjoys being petted… but on his terms. He can get a little nervous, so slow and calm attention is best. Once he trusts you, he really opens up!   He also does great with other cats and would love a home with a feline friend.   &#226&#156&#133 Good with cats &#226&#156&#133 Neutered & up to date &#226&#156&#133 Sweet but shy at first   Checkers has waited so long for his forever family.
