Story
Chestnut came to CVHS with her sister Octavia when her owner was unable to care for them. Chestnut adores the company of her sister so we are looking for a home for the pair. She is a bashful girl who will need someone who can be patient with her as she adjusts to her new environment. She is used to being an indoor only cat and would occasionally be a lap cat in her terms. She does have experience living with dogs and children, though she did not seem to enjoy the company of them, and would prefer a home without them. She has lived with another feline, and is tolerating her feline roommates here.

Story
SPECIAL NEEDS - MEDICALEaston came to CVHS with his brother Finley due to some lifestyle changes that were too much for them. He is timid at first with new people, but once he gets to know you, he loves to be petted! He is a sweet boy who would love to curl up next to you on the couch. He previously has been mostly indoors, with occasionally being able to roam outside. He does have prior experience living with canines and children, and did well with them, but may prefer a calmer, quieter home due to his shyer personality. He has done well with his feline roommates here in our colony rooms. For a while we pulled Easton off our website, as we were concerned we were seeing signs of stress, as Easton was plucking his fur. Bloodwork showed that this handsome cat struggles with high blood pressure. We`ve worked with our vet to adjust medications over the last few weeks, and he`s at a good dosage that a willing adopter can continue with him twice a day orally, and the medication is not expensive. He takes his medication like a champ, and appears to be feeling so much better. Do you have a place in your heart and home for a feline who needs a little more care?

Story
Octavia came to CVHS when her owner was unable to care for her. She is a sweet, but timid girl, who startles easily with new noises. She does enjoy getting pets from staff and volunteers when they give her the time to come out on her own terms. She does have experience living with dogs and children, though she did not seem to enjoy the company of them, and would prefer a home without them. She has lived with another feline, and is tolerating her feline roommates here, as long as they give her space.

Story
Caroline is a beautiful, petite 11-year-old kitty. She is gentle, calm, friendly, and she loves to explore. Her medium-long tuxedo fur is shiny and luxurious; she is a very pretty girl. Caroline was very attached to her former owner, an elderly gentleman, who had to move to a nursing home. But she is always ready to make new friends. She is very friendly with adults and older children. Caroline is nervous around young children, other cats and dogs. She would love to be the only companion pet in her new home. Story
Hi there, I’m Summer! I’m a refined, sun-loving lady , about 5 years young, looking for a calm and cozy home . My favorite pastimes include lounging in warm sunbeams, gazing out the window like the queen I am , and gracing my humans with affection—on my terms, of course. I’ll swing by for some pets and happily curl up next to you when the mood strikes, but I do value my independence . I’m a very quiet girl, so if you’re looking for a peaceful companion, I might just be your perfect match . I prefer to be the only furry royalty in the house (other animals totally cramp my style), but I’d make a wonderful friend for someone who wants a low-maintenance, mellow buddy. Despite my chonky physique, I eat a normal amount and don’t ask for much—just a comfy spot and someone to admire my fabulousness . Think we’d be a good match? Let’s meet! Story
Mariah Kitty is a sweet and soulful 5-year-old gray and white medium-haired beauty. Though she came to us as a stray, we’ve since learned she’s been passed through several homes, and she’s more than ready to find her forever family. Despite her past, Mariah remains incredibly loving and craves gentle affection and attention. She prefers to be the only cat in the home—other cats are not her cup of tea. However, she may do well with calm, older, cat-savvy children who understand her need for a peaceful environment. Her previous experience with a rambunctious puppy was very stressful, so if there’s a dog in the home, it should be quiet, mature, and respectful of her space. Mariah has recently experienced some gastrointestinal issues, which we believe are stress-related. With a stable, loving home, she’s likely to thrive and feel her best again. If you're looking for a loyal companion who just wants to be loved and understood, Mariah Kitty could be the perfect match.
