Story
Meet Paco! 🧡🐾 Paco is a cute orange and white tabby kitten with a tender heart and a curious nature. He might be a little reserved at first, but once he feels comfortable, he blossoms into a playful, affectionate, and even talkative little guy. Paco has experience living with his sibling and would do well in a home with other friendly cats. He’s also perfectly happy to be the center of attention in a quieter home with one person or a small family—as long as there’s patience and love to help him settle in. This sweet boy is fully potty trained and ready to find his forever home where he can grow, explore, and cuddle up in a sunny spot (or your lap). Think Paco might be your new best friend? 🧡 Application: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/688536cb6ae5cbcd550725e3 Questions? Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a code for a free bag of cat litter AND a code for 50% off a 2nd bag of litter from Catalyst Pet, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our Facebook Adopters group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescues and will require continued efforts but are well on their way to being the best kitties that they can be! We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through. We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 16,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.facebook.com/ThreeLittlePittiesRescueSavingKitties/ https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue/ *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $87 surcharge for transport. Story
Cleo came back to CVHS after 11 years with her beloved adopter, when he passed away from cancer. Her person, Morgan, was very well known in the community, and even when working hard to advocate for stable housing for all, he made sure to share his love of Cleo with everyone he met. She was the apple of his eye, and she got him through some tough times. Cleo is now in need of a new home, but she isn’t going to fit in just anywhere; she needs a special place. Cleo needs to be the only pet in the home, and she needs someone with great patience, and understanding not to push her buttons. She wants attention and affection on her terms, and will not hesitate to smack you if you push past her boundaries. She did spend time with Morgan’s granddaughter, and never misbehaved, but we feel strongly she should not live with children. She spent many happy hours warming Morgan’s lap, and though it may take her a little time to adjust to a new home, a lap is probably what she’ll love the most. When Cleo first came to us, she was clearly grieving the loss of Morgan, and it took her a while to start eating again, and even longer to seek attention from staff. Now when we enter her room, she comes out from wherever she`s made herself comfortable (in a crate, under a blanket, under the bench), and rubs around our legs, and happily accepts gentle pets.Cleo also needs someone to help her with weight loss, as well as making sure she gets her meds in her meals of wet food each day. She has arthritis pain, and gabapentin is helping her with that, as well as with her anxiety. The other major quirk of Cleo’s is that she is aggressively reactive to vet care and forced confinement post-surgery (she’s had multiple dental extractions), so precautions need to be taken when she needs to go to the vet. We can discuss that in detail with potential adopters.

Story
Furby was found as a tiny orphaned kitten after his mom was sadly found deceased. Thanks to his amazing foster, he was lovingly bottle-fed and raised by hand—something that truly shows in his personality. Furby is incredibly affectionate and loves being held and cuddled. He does well with both cats and dogs and thrives on companionship. He would do best in a home with another playful cat, as he is very bonded and a bit co-dependent—he feels happiest when he has a feline friend to lean on. If you’re looking for a sweet, loving kitten who wants to be part of everything and will return your affection tenfold, Furby may be your perfect match.   PLEASE READ THIS TO ADOPT: ***ALL ANIMALS ARE CURRENTLY IN LONG BEACH, MISSISSIPPI.*** We transport adopted animals every 2-3 weeks to Northeast states.  Completed applications take precedence over inquiries. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. We will discuss additional details with potential adopters once we have an application on file.  For Pet's Sake Rescue is a Mississippi based rescue. We are located in an overpopulated area surrounded by high-kill shelters. Adoption fees include transport, vetting and a MS Health Certificate to travel. Each pet is spayed/neutered, receives age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, microchipped and  flea/tick prevention.  You can visit our website at www.forpetssakerescue.org for our full adoption process and adoption application. You can view the locations we transport to on our website under Adoptions. We are currently unable to adopt pets to ME and RI residents. ##2607763##
