Story
Hi, I`m Corky!I came to WCHS as a stray, so not much is known about my history. I seem to have a lot of energy and may benefit from an indoor/outdoor home. I would do best in a home with no young children as I am very busy. It is unknown how I am with other animals, so any introductions should be taken very slow, to ensure I have the time and space to react correctly. If I sound like the right fit for your home, come meet me today!

Story
Tanjiro is a soft, kind-hearted young cat who’s waiting for the right home where he can take his time to adjust and feel safe. He’s a bit shy and initially nervous — but with patience, love, and space, his playful, loving side shines through. Once he starts to feel secure, Tanjiro blossoms. He loves to play with toys and enjoys the company of other feline friends. He also likes being held like a baby and getting gentle pets when he’s comfortable. On top of that, he loves to run around in playtime and then curl up for cozy naps when he’s ready to rest. Tanjiro would do best in a calm, quiet home where he can settle in on his own schedule. With time and understanding, he has so much sweetness to share and could become a loyal, gentle companion. If you’re someone who knows that patience and kindness are the keys to a scared kitty’s heart — Tanjiro might just be the perfect match. PLEASE READ THIS TO ADOPT: Completed applications take precedence over inquiries. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. Each pet is spayed/neutered, receives age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, microchipped and  flea/tick prevention.  You can visit our website at www.forpetssakerescue.org for our full adoption process and adoption application. Story
Chestnut came to CVHS with her sister Octavia when her owner was unable to care for them. Chestnut adores the company of her sister so we are looking for a home for the pair. She is a bashful girl who will need someone who can be patient with her as she adjusts to her new environment. She is used to being an indoor only cat and would occasionally be a lap cat in her terms. She does have experience living with dogs and children, though she did not seem to enjoy the company of them, and would prefer a home without them. She has lived with another feline, and is tolerating her feline roommates here.

Story
Meet Gordo, a handsome little man who is dressed in his best tuxedo and looking for his forever home! Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/ Gordo is part of our Lizzie McGuire litter, and is the only boy surrounded by 4 tortoiseshell sisters! I'm sure his sisters' "tortie-tude" helped make him the patient and sweet boy he is today. Gordo is extremely well-mannered and gentle. He loves to be around people and other kittens, but isn't the type to be pushy - he waits his turn for things patiently. The only thing that Gordo just can't be patient for is his daily Churu treat! He absolutely loves Churu and becomes very vocal when the packet comes out... It's adorable. Even as he mews his tiny little head off, he stays polite and stares up at you without scaling your body like a mountain. He gently holds his treat with both paws and is just the sweetest little thing. Gordo is affectionately nicknamed "Toofy" because of the tiny white line on the right hand side of his chin - it looks like a little tooth. Between that quirk, his mittens, magnificent whiskers, and bright green eyes, he is an absolute stunner! Gordo loves spending time with his foster siblings Elle Fanning, Sophie Turner, and Boogie - he would do great if adopted with one of them, or any other friendly kitten he could cause mischief with. Priority will be given to applicants interested in adopting a pair of kittens or who have patient, playful resident cats or dogs at home. Gordo has not met a dog before, but with slow and careful introductions to a well-behaved dog we think he would do great with a new pup sibling. He does have a gentle nature, so ideally any dogs in the home would be very sweet and calm :) Information on why adopting two kittens is better for their short- and long-term health can be found here: http://www.kittenlady.org/twokittens Adopt Gordo and maybe one of his adorable buddies, and double the love, double the purrs, and double the fun! --- Gordo is ~5 months old, microchipped, neutered, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. He is in excellent health and ready to bring a lot of love to his new home! The adoption application can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Gordo and his buddies are currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along this route. ——— ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: When you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you're doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee pays for a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts! To learn more about our TNR (Trap / Neuter / Return) efforts, please follows us on Instagram @roses_rescues_htx. (All adoption fees also include transportation costs, spay/neuter of the animal, vaccinations, and microchipping.)
