Radiant Ruth was rescued together with a bushel of kittens. Not knowing which kittens belonged to which mom...Ruth stayed close with another Tortie, Ayisha, early on during her first initiation to the rescue. She now currently lives in one of our cat dorms with a few other cats and kittens. Ruth is still a little shyer, but warms up quickly! She enjoys basking in the sun, being a Couch Potato, is playful with toys, especially Catnip toys, and she loves treats! Ruth is your typical Princess, Dignified, thinks she is ALL THAT, has the looks, and wants affection on her own time. We feel she would do well in a low energy home. Cosmo was found at our local Costco. He was around 14 weeks old, when he was rescued from a lovely lady's car engine. We put out a 911 to Return2Home lost pet services (Melissa Felts). Melissa happened to be in the area and was able to use her fantastic recovery skills to retrieve COSMO safely. Cosmo spent a little time in foster with other kittens, and his relationships have continued to bloom in our kitten nursery. Cosmo is food driven, and has great potential for advanced training due to his insatiable appetite. He loves to get up high and view the world around him. He likes attention and doesn't mind being held but is not a big fan of facetime. ( doesn't like kisses on his face ) He would do well in a low to mid energy home. Although he can be affectionate he is more interested in scoping out his territory and checking out the security check points.. looking for the next meal and new toy bird! He has started a goofy trick to get our attention lately. He shows off his athletic nature by jumping onto the screen door to the nursery. It's a special extra strong cat screen made of metal. He looks as though he is trying out for the "Ninja Warrior "show. We feel Cosmo would do well in a home where people are around a lot and keep the energy on the mild side. Ayden is one of 3 siblings. He is very adventurous and always loves playtime! He also loves to climb and play fight with his brother and sister. He is the most hyper of the three. They were found in a woman's backyard, with her dog. After 2 days of looking for mom, the woman gave up. There was a dead cat in the road, so we were unsure if that was the mother. She could not handle them, so she reached out to Advocats, and even though we were over capacity as most rescues are, we took them in to get them well. There were originally 5 kittens in the litter, the other 2 died. One from a broken jaw and internal injuries from the dog, and the other from malnutrition in utero.
