Story
Delightful and drop dead gorgeous, Misty (fka Cha Cha) and brother Blu (fka Foxtrot) are sweet 5 1/2 year old cats, returned due to health issues in their adoptive home. They were much loved and spoiled, and had a gentle dog in their home. A little reserved but very affectionate, they are a bonded pair and would do well in a somewhat quiet home.  Available to meet at Lake Anna.  Please email megshrum@gmail.com with questions. The Adoption Process If you are ready to meet this feline please fill out an online adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your internet browser: https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/10664/generic Once your application is submitted, we will contact the vet reference provided. If you do not yet have a vet, please provide three personal references – these could be family and friends who can attest to your pet parenting skills. A volunteer will schedule a phone interview with you. The interview and application help our fosters find their forever home by ensuring a good match.   The Louisa Humane Society does not have a brick and mortar facility, so all of our pets are in foster care. Once approved, the foster parent will reach out to arrange a visit. The foster family can tell you all about their likes, dislikes, and little quirks.   The application and visit do not oblige you to adopt, but if you’re ready to take the feline home as your furry forever friend, their adoption fee is $85. Should the match turn out less than perfect, or if you are unwilling or unable to care for an adopted animal, the Louisa Humane Society will take the animal back into our care. ##339251##

Story
Reef and Pier came to us two years ago as babies with their mother Breeze, after a Good Samaritan found her hiding with them and the rest of the litter under a backyard shed in the broiling summer heat. This bonded pair was adopted together that fall, but they're back with us through no fault of their own and looking for a new home.Reef is an affectionate, energetic little guy who would like you to believe that he has never once had any food in his life. He needs to be involved in everything and loves rolling around on the floor and even in the bathroom sink.Pier is a gentle lovebug with super-soft fur and sweet eyes. He'll softly pat and nuzzle people to let them know he needs some attention, and he loves to snuggle up with his favorite people and purr his little heart out.Reef and Pier have been through a lot in the past couple months and will need a couple days of patience to acclimate to their new home, but they're sweet boys who would do well in any environment where they have people to love on them. We would love to find them a home soon! Please contact us if you are interested in these beautiful boys. Both noys are neutered, received rabies and FVRCP vaccine (3 year vaccines), combo tested negative, and are microchipped with a lifetime registration. No need to re-register every year- we've done it for you!
