He's also hoping that he can be the only cat in the home as he does not like other animals. But he'll more than make up for it by being a silly, endearing, cuddly companion! One thing to consider is that Pax will need a special diet to help keep him at his happiest and healthiest. The adoption crew can tell you more about it when you come to meet him! Story
I am in a foster home but I am still AVAILABLE for adoption!Hey I'm Benny, but my friends call me Ben Benz or Benny Boy! I have come from Saskatchewan where I was found stray many months ago. I am a total love bug! I thoroughly enjoy lap time where I can nuzzle up to you and get all the cuddles while I soothe you with my adorable purrs! If you want a companion I am your guy - I will supervise you all over the house during all of your activities! I love to be around my people. I am a simple guy and really just crave someone that will give me lots of love, attention, and affection. I tested positive for FELV (Feline Leukemia Virus) which is a disease that impairs a cat's immune system and is linked to cancer. Our knowledgeable staff can tell you more about what it means to adopt an FELV positive cat, but it would be safest if I am the only other cat in the home or with another cat that has already tested positive (this disease does not affect people or dogs). I am healthy at this time, and a very sweet boy! Here's what my current foster has to say about me: Benny: Or as I like to call him, Benzodiazapam because he's so chill. He would live his life in a cuddle puddle if he could. He's so sweet with me and gives me headbutts and face smooshes every opportunity he gets. He thrives in a quieter environment as he's still skittish with certain noises such as the blender and our garage opening... and my husband's loud sneezes. I do think that's mainly because he's so calm that the noises are disruptive! Benny loves cuddles. Benny would do great with a calm and gentle person for Benny to cuddle. Here's what my previous foster has to say about me: Benny is very comfortable and relaxed; loves to sit on the armchair and stare out the window, and he loves the cuddles and is very affectionate. I've noticed he likes to play with dangling objects that move, like shoe laces. He does not care much for the toys that don't move on their own. He loves cuddling and will use any excuse to lie on your lap or nearby and just loves to spend the night curled up in bed. He is the perfect, purring lap cat. He also loves watching the world go by from the window in his favourite chair. Interested?! Story
Hey, I'm Fuerza, and I arrived here from Lethbridge with a few of my kids. At this point, I am not used to humans, and find them very scary. Right now, I spend my days surveying my new domain from the highest perch I can find, trying to decide if humans are trustworthy or not. I will need a patient home that understands that it may take me time to come out of my shell, and to respect my space until I feel safe. I will protect myself if I feel threatened, but it's not because I am mean - I am just terrified. The companionship of a confident feline friend may help to show me that I am safe! If you'll take a chance on me, I think I would do much better in a quiet home. Sometimes the most fearful, feral cats turn into the most loving and wonderful companions, it just takes time, patience, and unconditional love! Interested?! Please fill out our adoption application and email to adopt@bowvalleyspca.org. Upon approval you will be contacted to arrange an appointment time! You are also welcome to come visit me at the Centre during public visiting hours Wednesday-Saturday 12:00-4:00pm without an appointment.

Even though Zilla is almost 3 years old, don't let that fool you, he still plays like he is a tiny kitten instead of a big boy. Zilla loves to walk outside on his harness, or roll around on the ground baking in the sun. Story
Sven came to the WRHS family as a terrified feral young kitten. Through much work of our dedicated volunteers Sven has made leaps and bounds. While he still isn't a massive fan of people, his cat friends he loves them! His favorite thing to do is greet our volunteers from a distance when they first come in because he knows that he is going to get his wet food. After he eats his wet food, you can usually find him playing with Gunther & Griffin running in and out of the cat tunnels. Once he has his zoomies taken care of its time for his nap. Sven is neutered, up to date on vaccines and deworming.
