Story
**Nola is a Patient Paw, please ask about her reduced adoption fee!**Age: 8 years oldWeight: 5.6kg / 12.4lbsMeet Nola - a sweet but shy lady who blossoms best as the only cat in a calm, peaceful home. She can get a little spicy when she feels stressed or overwhelmed—she’s not mean, just nervous and needing space. With patience and respect for her boundaries, Nola shows her true gentle side. She previously spent some time in foster care where she had the time she needed to work through her fears and become the loyal companion you’re looking for. She picks her tribe and will let you know when you’ve been adopted into it. Once she does, she’ll stick to you like Velcro.Nola is a senior gal that still rocks the beauty of her youth. She’s a bit overweight and would benefit from a gradual weight loss plan to help her live a healthier, happier, and longer life. She might feel shy and unsure when she comes into her furever home; needing a little extra kindness and calm. Nola is searching for a home that is a relaxed and patient space where she can settle in at her own pace. She would benefit from a home with a consistent feeding schedule and a safe, comfortable environment. The foster noted that she rarely meows and was super friendly to other adults who came to visit. She didn’t meet any children when she was with the foster.Don`t worry about keeping an eye on the squirrels and magpies in the neighbourhood … Nola will do that for you.At the end of the day all she really wants is a sunny window and someone to care … don’t we all?

Story
Age: 1.5 yearsIf you`re looking for a cat that thrives on attention, get ready to meet Meatball! Having come to us as he was under-stimulated in his previous home, Meatball is looking for a family that can offer him lots of playtime, enrichment activities, and all of the attention he can get! He always wants to be a part of the action and will even meow if there is a door keeping him from seeing you. It`s also recommended that Meatball`s new home has no young kids since he can be conflicted at times when it comes to being pet. If you have the time and energy to help meet Meatball`s needs (and get all of the love in return!), then come learn more about Meatball today!

Story
Age: 7 yearsWeight: 7 kgSweet with a hint of feisty, Pippa is the best busybody you`ll ever meet! While she can be a little shy (and even growly!) in new situations, it won`t take her long to show off her curious, affectionate, and chatty side! She`s also a champion head bonker and will be sure to give you all of the bonks you can manage! Just be sure that you watch her body language while you interact with her as she can get overstimulated easily. Pippa is also a little bit on the hefty side and would benefit from a slow, gradual weight-loss diet. Complete your home and family by adopting Pippa today!

Story
Meet Half-Pint! She`s still on the tiny side, but she`s working on that! She loves treats and gentle pets, and might be a great fit for a home with other cats (including grumpy older cats), as she has shown she can be neutral and respectful of space. Half-Pint is feeling a bit timid here, so a peaceful, consistent routine is recommended to help her gain confidence in her new home. Once she`s settled in, she`s sure to turn into a silly, playful and affectionate older kitten. Half-Pint also came to the shelter with her sister Short-Stack, and the girls could potentially be adopted together, although reintroductions may be needed.

Story
Sam and Dean can`t go home until December 6.Sam and Dean are a bonded pair and must go home together!Meet Sam and Dean! This handsome pair of brothers are litter mates who`ve been together ever since, and now they`re looking for a new home! With their proclivity for long naps cuddled up together, and epic bird watching sessions in their favourite window, they`d be the perfect fit for a calmer household looking for some affectionate boys to brighten life. Sam and Dean enjoy long gentle strokes down their back, and cheek scritches. They can be a little shy with strangers, but quickly bond to their humans! One you earn their trust, they`ll always want to be nearby and will let you know with a plaintive meow if they can`t find you. Sam and Dean love to play, sleep and snuggle together, but as formerly unneutered males, they were not fond of other cats! Now that they are neutered, intros to other cats may be easier, but should still be slow and thoughtful to reduce stress and set everyone up for success. If you have a calm home that can give these gentle boys the security they crave, reach out to CHS!
