Story
Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/Application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Comet was surrendered by a person whose cat clowder got a bit out of control, requiring some spay/neuter services and a reduction in the cats remaining in the home. The other surrendered cats have been adopted, so just Comet is still waiting for his forever family to find him. Comet was born 2/1/23. Favorite things include playing with wand toys, being petted, and being held for brief periods. He also enjoys lap time - he is the happy lap boy in the video. Add in some shoelaces to play with, and Comet will give you an A+! This handsome panther is good with other cats, but is NOT fond of dogs. All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Comet is a suggested minimum of $40 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!

Story
Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application. Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Totem and Feather came to us when their owner could no longer care for them. Their estimated date of birth is 7/1/2023. This brother and sister are both very sweet and affectionate. Totem loves to sit by you and receive pets, while Feather will stand in your lap and drool as you give her scritches. Both love the wand toy (though it is clear Totem is the more playful hunter). Feather is shy when meeting new people or kitties (to which she will give warning hisses for them to give her space). Once she feels comfortable she becomes the sweetest kitty imaginable! Totem is more a social butterfly who is curious and ready to meet new friends. These kitties have never lived with children so we recommend older pet savvy children. They are ok with other cats and were tolerant of the big dog during their in-shelter dog test. If you are looking for fun affectionate kitties Feather and/or Totem might just be for you! They can be adopted as a pair for a small discount, but do not have to go together, as neither is dependent on the other. All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Totem is a suggested minimum of $50 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/Application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Introducing the Pie litter! These four handsome boys, born 3/1/24, create a whirlwind of play in their Meow Manor room, which they share with Biscuit and the French Bakery litter (yes, they can mix-and-match easily among different litters). They are all young enough to adapt well to homes with other cats, dogs, and children. These rambunctious Romeos include: SHOOFLY - black, blue collar BLACKBERRY - black, red collar MUD - black, no collar WHOOPIE - grey More photos of each coming soon! We'd love to see all kittens go to homes that have another young, playful kitten, or to send 2 of them out as a pair (which gives you a great pair discount rate), but we do not require pair adoptions. If you prefer to adopt just one, and you don't have a similarly aged kitten at home already, please read our information on Single Kitten Syndrome. Then, when you apply for a single kitten, please let us know in the "Comments" field how you plan to deal with the "kitten crazies." All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee is a suggested minimum of $65 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you!
