Story
Meet Magpie - Your Future Snuggle Buddy!Magpie is a sweet, affectionate senior cat who loves nothing more than curling up in a cozy lap and soaking up attention. She's a true people-lover and will happily keep you company while you read, watch TV, or just relax.Magpie is currently on a short course of antibiotics for a bacterial infection (which cannot spread to humans and is very unlikely to spread to other cats). She also has anemia, and while we haven't pinpointed the exact cause, she's shown no signs of pain or distress and continues to live her best life! Other than her current antibiotics, she doesn't need daily treatments-just lots of love and regular vet checkups.Because her health status is a bit of a question mark, we're treating her as immunocompromised for now. She's looking for a foster-to-adopt home in the South Okanagan area while we finish her treatment. Her future family should be prepared to partner with a vet team and schedule bi-annual checkups to keep her feeling great.Magpie's ideal home:Solo pet life: She prefers being the only cat and likely wouldn't enjoy living with dogs.Indoor-only: To keep her safe and healthy.Loving and committed: Someone who will embrace her as she is and give her the happy life she deserves.Magpie could have many wonderful years ahead-she's a happy, snuggly girl who just wants a family to love her. If you're looking for a sweet lap cat who will brighten your days, Magpie is ready to meet you! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 3.97 Age: 10yrs 2mths 0wks

Story
Everest is a loving, gentle little guy with a big heart packed into a small body. He adores his humans and loves to sleep right beside them, always happy to curl up on a lap for couch cuddles. He’s a total sweetheart who enjoys pets and will even roll over for those precious belly rubs! While he can be a bit nervous when people walk near him (he is a tiny fellow, after all!), his trust grows quickly with kindness and patience. Once he feels safe, he’s affectionate, loyal, and eager to be close. When playtime begins, Everest really comes alive! He’s almost as wild as his brother and has one prized possession: a very special pom-pom toy that he guards like treasure and no one else is allowed to touch it! If you’re looking for a snuggly, playful kitten with a soft soul and a silly streak, Everest might be your perfect match.

Story
Marzipan is a beautiful all-grey tabby with a sweet but sensitive nature. She can be shy at first and may run away if approached too quickly, especially when it comes to hands. With patience and a calm environment, Marzipan has plenty of potential to blossom. She truly loves to play, and interactive toys are a great way to earn her trust. Marzipan will do best with a patient adopter who understands that some of the most rewarding bonds take a little extra time to grow.***We are looking for indoor-only homes.
