Story
Tula and her siblings were brought into care after being found outdoors in rough shape. They were all battling upper respiratory infections that have since cleared up, but this means if they are adopted to a multicat household, the existing cat should be up to date on vaccinations so they are protected against any contagion in the future incase the virus pops back up!They are a sweet bunch, friendly and love people. They love to play and romp around their foster home, and would do well in a family home!If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the application below.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Weight: 1.8 Age: 0yrs 4mths 0wks

Story
Simon came into care with his siblings in a bit of a rough state, struggling with an upper respiratory infection. We were able to start treatment quickly, and all siblings have recovered great and have incredible personalities. He is very affectionate, loves to cuddle and play. He is a little more calm than his siblings, however is still very much a kitten!Due to having an upper respiratory infection, he may be prone to getting sick again under times of stress. This means when the virus is active, he would be considered contagious to other cats and should only be housed with vaccinated cats, and cats that are not immune-compromised.If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the application below.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Weight: 2.6 Age: 0yrs 4mths 0wks

Jasper is the sweetest boy around. All he wants is a buddy to share his days with, as he is a huge cuddlebug. When he has nobody around, he resorts to burrowing under his favourite blankie for comfort. This older gentlemen has been vetted and is in excellent health for his age, only needing a special diet to control urinary crystals to help keep him in tip top shape! He has lived with another cat previously, however would be fine with just a consistent companion to be with.Jasper will do best being indoor only, with a big cozy bed and blanket and his favourite person giving him hugs and kisses. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the application online.Adoptable cats are available for viewing Tuesday-Saturday between 12-4 Primary Color: Orange Tabby Secondary Color: White Weight: 6.3 Age: 13yrs 1mths 1wks

Story
This little boy has quite the lifestyle prior to coming into care with us, making it hard for him to settle in and trust us just yet.He was found at a campsite and was fed for months while the public saw him hanging around, but was brought to us since the season is nearing an end and there won't be anyone to care for him where he was. When he came to us, he was in a cat trap scared and untrusting but yet, snacks were welcomed! We tried to make friends using high value treats, and are still working on that.He would do best as an indoor only cat while he comes to terms with living a normal life again, and may do well with another cat to help him feel comfortable with a buddy he can communicate with.If you are interested in adopting this shy boy and have lots of love and patience to give, please apply using the link below. Please keep in mind he is still feeling stressed and may not be welcoming to new visitors, he is also on anti-anxiety medications to help ease his worries and can use this to transition into his new home. https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/We have open viewing Tuesday-Saturday 12-4 Primary Color: Brown Tabby Weight: 3.7 Age: 2yrs 0mths 3wks

Story
Meet Sarah! Sarah is a sweet and gentle cat. She's still getting use to her surroundings but has opened up very quickly. She purrs the second you start petting her. She loves sleeping the day away, usually snoozing in hideaway tent or on a soft bed. She'll come out for a quick pet and treat then retreat back to her napping. She loves temptation treats, will come running just at the sound of the bag opening! She's more of a night owl, will do all her exploring and socializing once the sun goes down but doesn't make a peep so won't keep you up at night. She also loves to be brushed, watch bird videos on the tv or watch out the window. When she's really relaxed, she even loves a good belly rub! She's not big on toys but saw her carrying a mouse stuffy in her mouth and bringing it on to her bed ??She may retreat to hiding with loud sounds or quick movements but comes back out quickly once coast is clear. Her ideal home would be a quieter household but likely would do well in any home. She is comfortable with being picked up, but doesn't like to be held for long. She'll kindly tap you with her paw when it's time to put her down. She can be a bit of a picky eater but often likes to eat with company ,social eater. To arrange a to meet her you will need to reach out to us to set up a day and time as she is currently in a foster home. You can call the branch at 250-248-3811 or email at parksville@spca.bc.ca Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 5.31 Age: 5yrs 1mths 3wks

Story
Dumbledore is a charming kitty with a soft, fluffy coat and the most enchanting yellow eyes you'll ever see. At around two years old, he's in the prime of his life and is ready to find his forever family. His playful spirit and affectionate nature make him the perfect companion for anyone looking to add a furry friend to their life.Dumbledore is as sweet as they come! He loves to curl up on your lap for cozy cuddle sessions and purrs like a little motor when he's content. His playful side shines through during his favorite games with feather toys. Dumbledore would thrive in a loving home where he can be the center of attention. A sunny window perch is a must for him to watch the world go by!Dumbledore is neutered, up to date on vaccinations. He has tested positive for the Feline immunodeficiency virus. A long loving life is still ahead for this sweet fella, however he would have to remain and indoor cat and be the only cat in the household as he has a compromised immune system from the virus. Story
We are certain if Chowder could speak she would have quite the tale to share, but unfortunately we've only been able to piece her story from what we've observed so far. Chowder arrived in our care as a stray and it was obvious that she was in discomfort and needed immediate medical care. Chowder suffered from a bladder infection and bladder stones, she required dental surgery and in our efforts to diagnose her, Chowder's vet team also came across a sewing needles that could only be seen on Xrays. So needless to say (no pun intended), Chowder has been in our care for some time recovering from her medical issues. She is currently in a foster home and is doing really well, and as she is feeling better and more confident her cute sassy personality is really shining through! Chowder is a very loving and sweet cat, she loves to be pet and can still be quite playful even in her senior years. Being a larger cat working through a diet plan, she is not overly fond of being picked up, but she is more than happy to sit next to you or on your lap and enjoy some love. Chowder is looking for an indoor home that will continue to work on her weight management plan and that is looking for a sweet senior cat to keep them company. This sweet older lady can get a bit over stimulated and can be a bit sassy when she is having to do something she is not fond of, but she is more vocal about it than anything else. Chowder really is a wonderful kitty full of personality and we know she will make a wonderful companion in the right home. If you are interested in finding out more information about Chowder, please fill out our online application and follow up with a phone call or email to the Centre.
