Story
Bobbi has had a rough go the past little while struggling to feel confident in her previous home with a lot of change going on and uncertainty. She is used to being an indoor cat, living a calm and relaxed life with her people. She is a very sweet and cuddly cat and would do best in a quiet, adult oriented home without a lot of visitors. Bobbi previously lived with another cat but it seems as though she may have been getting bullied, this along with new changes in the home caused her to act out and urinate inappropriately around the home. For Bobbi's sake, she is looking for a new home where she doesn't feel she has to fight for resources or feel insecure in her own home! She is currently on a special diet for urinary health that will help maintain her health along with keep her anxiety in check. This girl can be shy, but she doesn't want to be and will flourish with a stable environment and loving family! If you are interested in Bobbi, please fill out the application below and feel free to contact the branch directly at 250-723-5269 alberni@spca.bc.cahttps://spca.bc.ca/survey/cat-adoption-application-alberni/ Primary Color: Grey Secondary Color: White Weight: 4.04 Age: 4yrs 6mths 2wks

Story
Are you looking for a kitty to hold you accountable when it comes to giving them the best, most exciting life ever?! Well then, Sasha may be your gal. Sasha is very social and affectionate with people she trusts. She absolutely loves resting on your lap or legs while watching TV and being given gentle pats on her head and neck. She doesn't like being held but will tolerate it for brief periods or for trimming her nails. We suspect she is part Siamese which accounts for beautiful big eyes, and the little bit of the CAT-itude. Like most Siamese, affection is on her terms. She connects with some people right away, and ignores/tolerates others. She has a VERY active mind and requires an enriching environment. She needs an owner who is dedicated to keeping her busy with new toys, puzzle games, clicker training, harness walking, or any new activity to keep her mind and body satisfied. Sasha even loves cat tv!! She is smart and can figure out treat puzzles quickly, so she is always looking for a new challenge. Sasha likes to be an active companion in your life and activities. She is very social with the people she loves, and wants to be engaged with whatever they're doing.Sasha is prone to anxiety and over stimulation so a calm environment is best for her. If she feels threatened she will stand her ground and hiss/swat while other cats would probably hide. Sasha enjoys being groomed, however it's imperative to watch her body language as she can get overstimulated and swat. For that reason, it is best for her to be in an adult only home.To help with anxiety and changes in her environment we've started her on an over the counter supplement called Zyklene which has been very effective in helping her to relax. It has made a notable difference (along with keeping her brain busy) in her behaviours and has lessened her decisions to swat. Sasha starts her mornings off with a gentle paw on her foster mom to wake her up. She gets some gentle pets and they start their day. She is a relatively quiet girl, usually only making her meows known around food time. The reason Sasha is in foster even though she is very healthy is because she does extremely poorly in a shelter environment. She is shut down, and completely terrified. Once she is in a calm home she comes out of her shell quickly and becomes a social and affectionate cat!All of this being said Sasha is a very loving kitty that will keep you on your toes, but her beauty and quirky personality is worth it. We know that in the right home, with a dedicated cat owner who is looking for a busy kitty, she will do great. Primary Color: Black Weight: 4.4 Age: 5yrs 7mths 2wks

Story
Little Miss Lola is awaiting her very special home! This young lady is very active and vocal. She is not shy to show her emotions and will let you know how she's feeling always! She gets bored easily and would do well being indoor/outdoor or indoor with safe outdoor access. Lola would prefer to be an only child to get ALL the attention, as well as an adult oriented home. She has some sass to her and can get frustrated if she feels pent up. Lola can be over-stimulated easily here with us after too much handling or when she plays too hard and gets all worked up!Lola is a very friendly, purr fest hoping for an experienced owner that can give her space as needed and pamper her.If you are interesting in Lola please fill out the application online. She can't wait to meet you! Story
Oh Miss Thistle! This munchkin is going to be the star of someone's show. Thistle is such a spunky little gal, with lots of love and snuggles to give. Thistle wants to play, zipping around her catio and playing around with any little toys she has access to. This little firecracker comes right to the door with a vocal greeting, rubbing around our ankles waiting for snuggles. Being picked up isn't her fav, but if its to pop her onto your lap she'll accept it. Thistle is still young, so she sometimes gets into a funky little mood where she plays a bit too hard, so young kids may be an obstacle for her. She may be able to live in tandem with another polite kitty, but being the sole ringleader of the house will be her first choice. Little miss is also very sensitive about her lack of tail, so prefers no one touches it! This girlie can steal hearts, and she's ready to steal yours!
