Story
This beautiful boy is Jack, a soon to be 5 year old orange tabby looking for the right lifestyle to match his. Jack was recently surrendered due to some personal issues he was having with the resident cat. Jack has shown us that he is a super affectionate and loving cat, and that he loves to be pet and enjoys rubbing all over his people!Jack would do best in an indoor/outdoor, single-pet home. He has let us know that he will get overstimulated and may lash out with too much stimuli, so we are suggesting an adult oriented home that can let him do his own thing, on his own terms. We are currently feeding him a dental diet to keep his teeth pearly white and healthy as can be. Due to his size, he had a bit of trouble getting the hard to reach spots when grooming himself, and when his matting was groomed, the groomer had noticed some sensitivities along the spine which may indicate some arthritis starting. He has some weight to lose, which will also help make him more comfortable and mobile. If you are interested in Jack, the first step to adoption is the application: https://spca.bc.ca/survey/cat-adoption-application-alberni/ Primary Color: Orange Tabby Weight: 7.02 Age: 5yrs 0mths 0wks

Story
This stunning senior is Jax, and he is a big love!He came into care as a run-away who just couldn't bring himself to stay home...this was likely due to the dog in his home, as he seems more than happy to stay inside here with us.Jax had been vetted due to some concerns we had on intake and it was discovered that he has high blood pressure. He has now started medication that he will stay on for life to manage it, but not to worry as it is quite affordable and he easily takes them in pill pockets or a bit of wet food!Jax is a little on the larger side, so we have him on a weight loss diet currently as well, which he loves.Jax hasn't let his diagnosis stop him from being his best self! He is sweet, affectionate, and has a lure to his voice that can't help but welcome you into the room for cuddles. This guy is big on relaxation and finding the best spots to lounge. He loves his big cozy beds, and is just overall a lovely, laid back guy! If you are ready to fall in love with a senior cat, look no further than this sweet boy! Adoption and viewing hours are from 1-4 Monday to SaturdayPlease fill out the application below and feel free to contact the branch directly at 250-723-5269 alberni@spca.bc.cahttps://spca.bc.ca/survey/cat-adoption-application-alberni/ Primary Color: Brown Tabby Secondary Color: White Weight: 6.93 Age: 9yrs 5mths 2wks

Story
Pretty Kitty is a very resilient and sweet kitty who is now looking for that special home that will support her in her recovery. She was surrendered into our care due to medical costs associated with PK's vet needs. We don't really know what happened to her, but she injured her paw and was very lethargic at intake. We rushed her to the vet for fluids and xrays, which showed no broken bones. However she wasn't using her paw, so she required lots of TLC from her foster parents.PK is looking for an indoor only home as she still favours her leg, even after weeks of physiotherapy from her loving foster parents. She is a timid little girl, so she would do best in a quieter home setting with no children. She can usually be found napping in her little tent with her favourite stuffies. She may be ok with another calm kitty friend. If interested in adopting this beauty, please submit an application: https://spca.bc.ca/survey/cat-adoption-application-alberni/*Please note: Pretty Kitty is currently in foster since we are waiting for her Spay appointment and are at capacity for kennel space, only approved adopters will be contacted to have a meet n' greet. Sorry for any inconvenience. For further information on her, feel free to give us a call or email: 250-723-5269 ext 4 or alberni@spca.bc.ca Primary Color: Tortoiseshell Weight: 3 Age: 2yrs 7mths 4wks

Introducing Quaker and Oats! This bonded pair of brothers are as sweet as it gets! They do their best at showing people how much they love you by greeting you as soon as you enter the room. Quaker and Oats spend majority of their time together or as close as possible in the same room. Quaker and Oats are indoor kitties and would love to keep it that way in their next home. They enjoy spending time on their cat posts, lounging in beds, rolling in catnip, and being doted on by their people. These two boys love their food...so much so they can often eat too quick and get a bit sick. They are currently eating soaked kibbles in slow feeders and it has worked very well for them! Quaker and Oats are two very special boys who will make wonderful companions for people in their new family ? Oats is awaiting his dental surgery happening later on this month! Story
Steven and Justin may not be blood related, but their bond is unbreakable! Steven and Justin are a bonded pair who must be adopted out together. You will often find them snuggled up together relaxing, grooming each other, eating side by side, and playing together. Steven is more outwardly affectionate with people, but Justin is a very sociable sweet boy as well. They are indoor boys who would like to keep it that way in their new home. They are very laid-back, good with cats, and would likely be good with a cat social dog as well. Steven has stomatitis and is awaiting a dental surgery where he will get half of his teeth taken out. In his future he will likely require another dental surgery that will need to be done, so his adopters will have to be diligent in making sure he gets annual vet checks to check the status of his teeth. He is a very happy and healthy boy, otherwise and cannot wait to find a family ? Primary Color: Grey Weight: 8.6 Age: 4yrs 6mths 2wks
