Meet Rod the Tripod  Rod is an estimated 5-year-old gentleman with a sleek black coat, bright eyes, and a spirit that simply refuses to quit. Rod’s story began at the Riverside County shelter, where he arrived with a severely broken ankle. The shelter director personally transported him to an orthopedic surgeon to give him the very best chance possible. After evaluation, the surgeon determined that amputation was the kindest and most comfortable option. Rod handled it all with remarkable resilience. Now fully recovered from surgery, Rod is learning life on three legs — and honestly, he seems to think he’s still got four. He plays, explores, follows his people around, and greets each day with obvious joy. His missing leg has not slowed him down one bit. His luxurious black fur is even beginning to grow back over his surgery site. Along the way, we also discovered that Rod is feline leukemia (FeLV) positive. His follow-up testing suggests he will likely remain positive long term, which means he needs a home where he can be the only cat, or potentially with other FeLV-positive cats under appropriate guidance. What Rod lacks in a missing leg, he makes up for in affection. He adores wet nose kisses, gentle “love nibbles,” and quality cuddle time with his humans. His favorite treat in the entire world is a Churu stick, and he will happily supervise snack time with great enthusiasm. Rod is attentive, loving, and deeply connected to the people he trusts. He is the kind of companion who wants to be part of your everyday life. Rod has already survived pain, surgery, and uncertainty. Meet Mango – A Little Kitten with a Big Spirit Mango is a handsome gray tabby kitten bursting with spunk, personality, and charm. Mango's story is a special one. As a young kitten, he was unable to walk normally due to an abnormality affecting his spinal cord. Whether he was born with it or it developed following an infection early in life remains unknown. Through dedicated physical therapy, acupuncture, and a lot of determination, Mango learned to walk and now gets around on his own as his everyday normal. He does have a funny little walk that makes him uniquely Mango, but don't let that fool you. He runs, jumps, climbs, chases toys, wrestles with friends, and enjoys life to the fullest. Zoe was found at 2-3 weeks of age and was lovingly bottle-raised by her the person who found her. Need we say more? She has an exceptional need of human companionship. Sadly, her person passed away recently, and Zoe finds herself an orphan at age 9. Crockett is the most amazing 6 month old kitten! He sustained a spinal injury before coming to us (which we confirmed with X-rays and neurological examination). He is the happiest boy and seems unphased by his challenge even though we express his bladder /colon several times each day:) Please contact us if you are interested in learning more about this very special boy!

These two sisters were found abandoned by their mother in the mountains. They had many issues that required many visits to the vet as kittens, however they are now grown and healthy and very happy girls. They are approximately 2-3 years of age, and are very playful. They have an incredible bond and need to stay together. If they are even closed off in separate rooms they will start to panic. They play together, fight together and “hunt” together. However they are 100% indoor cats. They absolutely can not go outside. I believe they will be happiest in a home with no other cats. I have two other cats - they used to get along very well but now that they’re older they are very territorial.
