TEDDY and his sister PHOEBE were saved in El Segundo, California. Our independent trapper friend called saved the 2 young kittens stuck under a large truck container. Fast forward to a few months back, the rescue that was suppose to take them fell through. So she called us. And we are so glad she did. Meet TEDDY, the epitome of youthful exuberance. They had to live in a kitty tent in someone's backyard. When she told us, we frantically got them here. SERGEANT BECKER is with our rescue now and is ready to be adopted. One was 8 weeks old. ESTRELLADO was saved by an independent rescuer back in late 2017. He was a tiny kitten. Well fast forward to over a year ago, the lady was killed by a drunk driver. We were asked to help with her rescues and to our dismay, her house was a horrific hoarding case. We pulled 55 cats that were still alive. Our rescue took 26 of those cats into out rescue. DR TEMPERANCE "BONES" BRENNAN and 10 other cats were dumped in the Home Depot parking lot in Hawthorne, California. Our trapper friend was notified and she started trapping them. She took her because she was emaciated. Eyes were sunk in and a bad URI. She had a litter somewhere and she was too sick to release back. Because she was in such bad shape, we think the kittens all died. We helped her with 4 cats. And will hopefully help her with any of the rest of the cats. We named them after the show BONES. The rescue mama was watching that show at the time. She had them for over 2 years. We sent them to a great foster and SVEN is now finally a house cat! She took her because she was emaciated. Eyes were sunk in and a bad URI. She had a litter somewhere and she was too sick to release back. Because she was in such bad shape, we think the kittens all died. We helped her with 4 cats. And will hopefully help her with any of the rest of the cats. We named them after the show BONES. One was 8 weeks old. KOALA was saved by an independent rescuer back in late 2021. She was young. Well fast forward to 1 year ago, the lady was killed by a drunk driver. We were asked to help with her rescues and to our dismay, her house was a horrific hoarding case. We pulled 55 cats that were still alive. Our rescue took 26 of those cats into out rescue. KOALA is the eight one to be ready for adoption. And still with us after a year. KOALA can be shy at first. She gets comfortable very quick and is curious about everything. She can get startled, but will come back and investigate. She gets very excited about her can food. Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning ONLY. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 5 pm - 8 pm (Monday thru Saturday) and Sunday 3 pm - 6 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location, email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3-hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability and store hours. Store hours change with holidays. ******************* If you call the PETSMART location, please ask them to physically check the cattery door for the current week's VISITING HOURS. ****************** The kitties at foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do the OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten.
