It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.
COLTON, his mom (BETTI BOOPERS) and her 3 siblings (LYNX, BEBE & TIGGER) were living in a bad hoarding situation in Bakersfield, California. They were living off a dangerous street and people were actually poisoning the cats there. A group of rescuers helped all the cats involved and called us to take these babies.
These poor guys were so skinny, dirty and scared. And when COLTON came to our rescue, we discovered he was very social. COLTON is a sweet boy. He has found toys and likes to play. He loves ear and belly rubs. And you can't help but fall in love with his little face that looks so sweet. And he is very sweet and a bit shy.
COLTON and his sister BEBE were adopted together. And to their dismay, their dad passed away. We were called to pick them up and the rescue mama ran to get them. It has been a very hard journey for them. We truly pray that the person that falls in love with COLTON will have the heart to take his sister BEBE too.
COLTON is a very sweet, timid boy. But he loves pets, cuddles and Churu. He likes to play. He especially likes to cuddle (and talk) with his sister BEBE. But don't take our word for it...go meet him!
COLTON is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TABBY MIX. He is about 2 years old and is good with cats. He is non-reactive to dogs. He has never been around children.
COLTON is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California.

SEPTEMBER 2023: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees.
Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 4 pm - 9 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3 hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability.
The kitties at a foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below.
in Murrieta, California off Madison Avenue
in Hemet, California off Florida Avenue
in Palm Desert, California off Monterey Avenue
The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the adoption interview and home check have been done. Gas donations always appreciated!
********** PLEASE NO CALLS. NO ONE IS AVAILABLE TO TAKE CALLS **********
If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.
Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.
We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient.
COLTON is ALREADY fully vetted.
The adoption fee of $200 covers:
FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative)
Stronghold Flea Control
We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.
If for some unfortunate reason you missed out on the kitten/cat you emailed about...I'm sure that we could help you with another rescue baby! Just ask!
