Story
Zilla is a sweet and somewhat shy lady. She is about 15 pounds which is too big for her build. She definitely needs a home that understands the importance of her weight loss journey. She loves to be pet and loved on. She is about 8 years old and since she is so big she can not properly clean herself. Her coat is a bit scaly but she is improving. We wipe her with a wet wash cloth and she does not mind one bit. She needs a nice calm environment with a little bit of extra care. Story
Charlie is a 4 year old short hair male tuxedo cat. He is a cat that likes the outdoors, is affectionate yet cautious around other animals and young children. He would do best in a quiet home. He has a great appetite, loves a bit of canned food (especially "Sheba") and a good quality dry food. He has a very quiet meow (more like a chirp) and likes to be petted GENTLY! Can be sensitive in his rear end. Charlie currently lives in Wyoming. He will be transported to the Kitty Korner in Grand Junction in May if he is not adopted by then. Story
Waltzy has been in the shelter since 2022 and is newly interested in humans. She needs some socialization and understanding. Her person would be very patient and kind. She does love to play, but is just now learning pets can be a good thing. She's been pet a little, but it took time and consistency for her to accept it. Waltzy would benefit from a home with another cat to befriend and maybe learn from to trust humans more. She is currently wanting lots of attention to understand humans and love better. She's food motivated and does love treats and wet food. Her perfect person would be very patient, kind, and willing to put in the work. She would make a good barn/outdoor cat. Story
Lexus came to GRHS Pregnant with a litter of kittens she took great care of! She was such a great mother that when we took in 3 more kittens without a mom she was able to feed, groom, and protect those ones as well. She is a great girl! She is now Spayed and will no longer have kittens and she is looking forward to a vacation! She is very sweet and compassionate. She rolls around for attention and loves to be loved back! Come meet her at the GRHS Kitty Korner! She came from outdoors so she would be a great indoor/outdoor cat. She loves to sit on a windowsill.
