Story
Hi, my names Archie! Im one part of the Alfie and Archie duo. You can often find me in the cat tree house (which I may or may not be too big for, but this is a no judgment zone) or sitting on the windowsill, watching the world go by. Sometimes I like to sleep under the blanket on the couch, when Im feeling particularly chilly! While my brother is more of the playful one, I do get the zoomies and I love to play with my cat nip toys. All while Im waiting for meal time, of course. Im not a cuddler, but I am a sucker for a good back scratch. My brother is a great playmate for me, so it would be best if he came home with me too. We do not see Adopt-a-Pet inquiries! Story
Rufus is a little more shy, but a super sweet special needs boy. He enjoys people in a calm and familiar setting, but can be a little unsure about being handled unless it's on his own terms. He will need a cozy place for him to feel safe in. With some patience Rufus would be a great companion. He has such a loud purr that travels throughout the room. He can sometimes growl when being approached, but if you love on him with confidence he will appreciate the attention. Rufusonly has his canine teeth due to a condition called stomatitis. Stomatitis is a painful, inflammatory disease that affected his teeth. It is not contagious. Since his teeth have been pulled, Rufus has been very happy, in much less pain and learning how to be more brave everyday! We do not see Adopt-a-Pet inquiries! Story
Dicky was trapped by a property owner and brought to the shelter with no one coming forward to claim him. He’s a gentle, sweet-natured cat who clearly once had a home and is struggling with shelter life. Despite the stress, Dicky seeks human companionship and affection, and likes other non-aggressive cats. This handsome boy deserves a second chance before he becomes more distant, and where he won’t be abandoned again. With a little patience, he can be a working cat and a lifelong companion.🐾 Ready to Adopt? Please make sure your lease or housing allows pets—and that your family is ready to welcome a new member. Prepare the essentials: food and water dishes, cat food, litter and litter box, cozy bedding, a carrier, and a trusted vet for ongoing care. Adopted pets need time to feel at home, confident, and bonded with their new family. We encourage adopters to follow the 7-3-3 Rule to help you and your new pet adjust to their new home. 7 days to decompress in a quiet, safe space where they can observe from a distance. Establish routines, like feeding, litter box cleaning and gentle interactions to help your cat feel secure. 3 weeks to start exploring and feeling more comfortable, and continue with routines. 3 months to fully settle in, build trust, and bond with you. ❤️ With patience and love, your new companion will have the best chance to thrive—and become a cherished part of your family.
