Story
This Tom & Jerry are no cat & mouse pair! These grey and white boys are a pair of good pals, no fighting between them! Jerry is 9 months old and has a white fur around his nose, while Tom is 11 months old and has grey fur around his nose. They were abandoned by their owners and a good samaritan brought them to safety at Happy Cats. Both boys are very sweet to each other and to humans. Jerry is a Snuggle Bunny and is bit more outgoing and talkative than Tom. Tom starts out shy, sitting quietly behind his younger brother, but soon comes out for pets and purrs too. Both boys enjoy gentle pets and will purr and lean into your hand. Tom & Jerry are doing well with the other cats at the Haven, but will probably do best in a family without small children or dogs. They may adapt and learn to love all of their siblings, or be super happy as the only babies in the home. Since they’re bonded and help each other be brave, they can go home together with our Friends & Family discount for a total of $120 for both boys, which includes their neuters, vaccinations, microchips, food and litter starter kits, and a free well-kitty checkup each to help you get started. You can click here https://happycatshaven.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an Adoption Application or leave a message at 719-725-4970. Someone should get back to you during our adoption hours Wednesday – Sunday by 5 pm. If you need to contact someone more quickly, please call 719-362-4600 and we’ll do our best to get back to you within 48 hours.

Story
Howdy, I’m Jack! My friends call me Cap’n Jack because I have a little swashbuckle once you get to know me 😻. I’m a handsome white patched tabby with a cute white blaze, mask and front toe socks. I’m a Hemo Hero, having saved hundreds of other cats as a blood donor. Now I’m ready to retire and spend my golden years in the sun. At just 8 years old, I still have a lot of love to give and a lot of life to live! I still love to play like any little whippersnapper whenever you get out the kitty wands, as long as I don’t have to compete with anyone else. I’m an affectionate little guy once playtime is over, ready for headbonks and purrs with my favorite people. I’ll probably be your favorite Kitty Admin, ready to take over managing your home and life just the way you like it. I would love to be your one and only to have all your attention after years of living with lots of other cats. But I’d probably do fine with another nice cat and might be brave enough for a mellow, cat-friendly dog. I should do well with just about any human family. You can adopt me for $80 which includes my neuter, vaccinations, microchip, food and litter starter kit, and a free well-kitty checkup to help you get started. I also just had a dental last month so my pearly whites should be good to go! You can click here https://happycatshaven.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an Adoption Application or leave a message at 719-725-4970. Story
Have you ever had that joyful experience of finally getting a shy cat to lean into petting with love? If so, Riley & Luka are looking for a Superhero just like you! Adorable little tabby Riley came to Happy Cats after being rescued from trying to survive outside in a homeless camp, which you can tell by her tipped-ear badge of courage. Big handsome tabby Luka has white paws, vest and big green eyes. He came back to us after his guardian died and he was left alone for a long time. They met each other at here at the Haven and have been friends ever since! They are are more than ready to have their own home and family to love. Because of their scary early lives they needed time to learn to trust, but now they get very excited to see their friends! They greet their favorite people with lots of rubs, head bonks and chirps. They both appreciate being able to initiate petting, but once they consent, they are very affectionate. They both love to snuggle next to you when you sit on the floor with their favorite blanket in your lap, which is a kitty magnet for them! Riley will lay and roll in your lap, while Luka is a Sidecar Cat who loves to snuggle right next to you. They also love to be brushed during their snuggle sessions. Being picked up has been scary for them in the past, so they do best when they can be in charge of how and when they are petted. As your favorite Kitty Admins, they can be extremely helpful about the house! We expect they’ll follow you around–especially Riley!–and give you instructions on whatever it is you’re doing. If you do well, they may even reward you with a headbonk and some purrs! Riley is a flirty little lady once you get to know her and Luka will be your steadfast, green-eyed man of the house. Playtime is the best way to win their hearts and keep them confident. In spite of Riley’s sweet appearance, she’s a fierce little hunter when it comes to playtime. Get out any wand toy and you won’t believe how fast she is! Neither of them can resist when a toy disappears under a rug or blanket. They come with a Cat Dancer and fleece wand to keep increasing their confidence at their new home. This will also help them bond to their new family. Both cats love high perches and will come with a cat tree to provide that. Riley survived by hiding up in trees when she was outside and Luka loves his high perches too. This helps them stay confident when they’re feeling a little unsafe. They have lived at Happy Cats for many months and will need at least 2 months in their Safe Room, a quiet space to learn to trust and love their new family, as well as our Hands Off handling to help them build trust. Superhero Cats need to be the only pets in the home and do best in a home without small children. Superhero Kitties come with a kit that helps you support them while they become the lovable companions we know they can be (http://happycatshaven.org/kitty-superhero/). This includes a home installation, a top/side loading carrier per kitty, a mini-class in Hands Off Handling, their favorite toys & bedding, 3 months of food/litter/treats, up to 1 year of professional behavioral counseling if needed. Riley is about 4 and Luka is about 6. They can be adopted together for $90 which along with their Superhero Kit includes their spay and neuter, vaccinations, microchips, food and litter and treats for 3 months, and a free well-kitty checkup each to help you get started. Please wait at least 2 months before taking them in for their checkup. You can click here http://happycatshaven.org/superhero-adoption-application/ to fill out a Superhero Adoption Application. Someone should get back to you within 48 hours after you send it in. If you’d like to contact someone more quickly, please call or leave a message at 719-725-4970 or 719-362-4600 to make an appointment to meet them!

Story
Hi, I’m Kiwi and I’m either named after the fruit or the bird from New Zealand -either way I am a super cute and adorable girl! I’m a dilute torbico with some grey, apricot, and white coloring and the most amazing green eyes. My guardian couldn’t care for me properly so I came here in hopes for a better life. I am a very outgoing Kitty Admin and will follow you around our home ‘helping’ you with your daily tasks. After doing some ‘work’ with you, I will need some playtime preferably with a cat dancer or other wand-type toy. Then it will be nap & snuggle time with gentle pets and chin scratches. I get along with most other cats and will probably also get along with cat-friendly dogs (with a slow introduction). I could be buddies with human kiddos too if they are very gentle with me. You can adopt me for $80 which includes my spay, vaccinations, microchip, food and litter starter kit, and a free well-kitty checkup to help you get started. Currently, I am staying at one of our sister locations, the Biscuit Factory Cat Cafe, with several other Happy Cats friends. Please tap here https://www.biscuitfactorycat.com to find out more about this adorable cafe. Story
Will you be my new furever pawrent? My name is Bato and I am ready to go home with you! I am a 10month old tuxedo boy with a perfect black mask, back and tail and my underside mainly white. I came to happy Cats when I was found outside with my siblings and a good Samaritan brought us all to safety. I received some training from my Foster Mom; she taught me to give high-fives and to shake for treats. I am very treat motivated especially with Churros and Greenies. I am comfortable wearing a harness, but need more practice walking on a leash. So going on leash adventures may be in our future! I am a bit shy at first and will need a slow introduction into my new home. I may stay in my safe-room for a while before I explore the rest of my new home. Be patient with me please! I will go from a Funny Valentine to a Snuggle Bunny in no time with a little patience and tender loving care. During snuggle times, I prefer slow, gentle pets please. I love to play and my favorite toys are mice, track balls, wands, and anything with catnip! I also love high perch areas and scratchers, so a tall cat tree with a scratching post would be purrfect. I’ll do best in a home with no cats as I can be a little bossy around them, and I’m afraid of dogs. I’ll blossom into my best self in a quieter home with no small children. You can adopt me for $80 which includes my neuter, vaccinations, microchip, food and litter starter kit, and a free well-kitty checkup to help you get started. I am located in foster care, so will need an official meet & greet to be scheduled beforehand. You can click here https://happycatshaven.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an Adoption Application or leave a message at 719-725-4970. Story
Minnie, Missie, and Loki are an adorable trio of catolescents, all in soft neutral blacks and grays. Minnie and Missie are the two beautiful black sisters. Minnie is a bit smaller with a large white bikini, and Missie is a lil bigger with a wider face. Loki (Lil Smokey) is the handsome gray male. He was their foster brother and quickly adopted the girls as his family! They came to Happy Cats after they were rescued from outside as small kittens as you can see by their tipped ears of courage. They have blossomed under the care of their loving foster family and are now ready to snuggle in with their new family! This have come a long way from their hard life on the streets, working hard to learn people can be pretty awesome, but will most likely start out a little shy at first, typical Funny Valentines. But once they know you’re safe, they will turn into Snuggle Bunnies and shower you with love! Minnie is the brave adventurer who will try new things first. She is the very definition of a curious cat! Once Missie and Loki see that it’s safe, they’ll soon follow suit! These youngsters are very smart and learn quickly. They all love to be petted and will snuggle up with you, either on your lap or right next to it! They all also tolerate being picked up if you need to. Once he’s comfortable Loki will enjoy being held and nuzzled – and will even hug you back! He is very definitely a lap cat and can spend hours happily sleeping in your lap. Minnie will also follow you around like any good little Kitty Admin and see what you’re up to. Missie will lie right beside you for lots of attention, and follow you around the house too! Plus she has the loudest, most appreciative purr. They understand clicker training now and happily come to their names for clicks and treats. This kind of positive reinforcement will help them to learn and bond with you. All these kitties love to play, both with you, each other, and by themselves. If you can offer a wand toy with feathers they’ll quickly learn that you’re awesome and will dazzle you with their gymnastics! The girls really enjoy the laser, and they are all really into toy mice. They will come with some of their most favorite toys. And they really enjoy scratchers so giving them what they need to scratch will keep everyone happy. To help them relax, they enjoy watching Bob Ross, the Happy Painter, on tv (but hey who doesn’t 😹). They also really enjoy watching the outside world and find birds and squirrels fascinating, so an indoor window seat or patio doors would be heavenly for them. These kitties will probably do well with other cats but will do best in a home without young children or dogs, as they are terrified of dogs, probably from bad experiences on the street. Like any of our TLC kitties, loud noises like garbage trucks will scare them, but they’re bouncing back more quickly each time. Their curiosity may initially lead them to explore dryers and plastic bags, so keeping these closed or away from them will help keep them safe. Their ideal home would be one where they can get all the love they’d like – and they usually all want it at the same time, even pouting if they are the cat being left out! And don’t let their initial shyness fool you. With your love and patience, they can blossom into your best friends! Since they’re 10 months old and bonded to help each other be brave, they would love to go home together. Their foster family is sponsoring the third sibling so with our Friends & Family discount they can go home together for a total of $120! That includes their spays/neuter, vaccinations, microchips, food and litter starter kits, and a free well-kitty checkup each to help you get started, plus a box of toys from their foster family. You can click here https://happycatshaven.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an Adoption Application or leave a message at 719-725-4970. Neutered, fully vaccinated, all health records are available for potential adopters. He lives with four other cats and a small dog. He unfortunately does not get along with the other cats we have. We have had him since April 2021, when we saw that someone in our neighborhood just threw him out with the dogs and we felt sorry for him so we took him in. He is very sweet and loves to purr, and is very loving. He is turning four this April and is good with kids.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
I adopted Sebastian as a kitten. He's about thirteen years old and the sweetest boy. He’s a talented singer, a low-key comedian and he’s happiest in your company. Mornings are for breakfast songs and zoomies. While he's curious about the outside world, he's safest indoors. He’s an energetic boy and loves to play. He might play a little rough at times, but it’s only because he gets caught up in all the fun. He’s the “quality inspector” of all new items brought into the home and will surely find a use for any box. He’s a snuggle bug, especially at bedtime. A companion that's home most of the time would be really perfect. Sebastian might do well with another like tempered dog/cat. He has lived with his adopted sister Bella his entire life and once upon a time also shared space with a dog named Jenny. He's super laid back and generally just wants to be your main squeeze.

Story
Shiner is a 12 year old (DOB 1/1014) neutered, declawed male kitty who is looking for a forever home. The toddler in his original home has stage 4 cancer and can’t be around any animal that sheds, litter, etc. Shiner moved to a relative’s home temporarily, but he is unable to return to the original home due to the ongoing medical situation. He’s a sweet cat and quickly made himself comfortable in his foster home. Shiner has lived with medium and large dogs his entire life. He will make friends and is comfortable with dogs. For the last six months he has lived with two cats, and if introduced slowly, he should do okay with other cats. He would be ok living with older children who are experienced with cats. He has lived with two children under four years old the last few years and wasn’t too thrilled about it. He doesn’t love loud noises and the unpredictability of young children can make him anxious. Shiner was recently diagnosed with degenerative joint disease and receives a monthly Solensia injection and is doing great! This is a newly-approved injection that is working wonders on cats with osteoarthritis. His original owner is willing to sponsor the first three months of injections. Shiner is a smart guy! He’s recently been working on clicker training for “here” and “find it.” He loves anything that crinkles and has a special affinity for boxes (even for a cat!) If you are interested in adopting this sweet boy, please submit an application today. He is being fostered in the Denver area. https://www.fromforgottentoforever.com/catadoptionapplication/
