Story
Hello, I`m Bobo! A sweet lad with a thirst for the outdoors, I would love safe supervised access to it once I have fully acclimated to my new home. I`ll let you know when I want to go in or out, too, because I`m a chatty guy and a great communicator. Please be patient with me while I adjust to my new surroundings, though, because they can be a little scary at first!

Story
AMBASSADOR; NOT IN SHELTERTemeraire is shy with first introductions but adores attention once he gets to know you. He often greets familiar faces with happy tail flicks and head bonks. He loves to be pet, and will purr like crazy when getting butt scritches. He would thrive in a home that has other cats; he loves playing with his sister, Rayla, as well as the resident cats in his foster home. He is curious about dogs, but hasn`t socialized with them extensively, nor has he been around children. He is very active and playful; his favorite toys are paper towel balls, catnip mice, and jingle balls. Temeraire is very food motivated-he is fond of Churu treats, Temptations crunchy treats, and canned Friskies wet food. When relaxing, he loves to sit on your lap or nearby, quietly observing; he prefers this over being picked up. He would do great in a home that is willing to be patient with him while he gains confidence and transitions from a quiet, little shadow to a loving, little cuddle bug. You can contact his foster mom, Kristi, at kraney@uccs.edu or by text 719-757-8310 with any questions or to schedule a meet and greet at the shelter.

ADOPTION AMBASSADOR - NOT IN SHELTERDo you think your cat could use a cat of their own, but the idea of adding another needy four-legged companion gives you pause? Then look no further than Gretel.Gretel and her siblings came to HSPPR from an outdoor home, severely under-socialized and nearing the end of their socialization window. She was placed in a foster home to learn that humans can be friends—and with the help of the resident cats, Gretel made wonderful progress. Their confidence helped her feel safe enough to come out of hiding and spend time near people.During her time in foster care, Gretel revealed her true passion: play! Wand toys are amazing. Red dots must be chased. Other cats? She’s absolutely happy to wrestle with them. She’s also very dedicated to making sure there are no mice in your bed (okay, it’s your feet—but she’s just doing her job).Gretel loves food, too. Canned food will have her racing out from under the bed immediately, and she can also be coaxed out with Churu or other squeeze-style treats. One thing Gretel hasn’t fully embraced yet is constant petting. When she’s in the mood, she will cuddle with you and her feline friends, but most of the time she prefers to stay just out of reach—on her own feet and on her own terms. Consent is very important to Gretel, and earning her trust is truly something special. If she chooses to cuddle with you and your cat, you’ve officially made it in life.Does Gretel sound like the perfect match for you?I’m currently in a loving foster home offsite! Please contact my foster parent, Amy, at hoodamy910@gmail.com to inquire about me or set up a visit! Please allow up to 24 hours for my foster parent to respond.

Story
Halo enjoys noisy balls, feather toys, and using his scratching post. He has a history of chewing and ingesting non-food items (such as a plastic bookmark), so a home that can keep tempting objects picked up is important. He likes to sleep on his owner’s bed and can be very vocal—he enjoys meowing and “talking” to his people. He is frightened by the vacuum and will run and hide during cleaning, but comes out on his own once it’s finished. In new or stressful situations (such as vet visits), he may freeze and hunker down. He is shy at first and may hide initially, but will come out when he feels comfortable. He seeks affection and play on his own terms. He has no experience living with cats or dogs in his current home, though he did live with other cats when he was younger.
