Story
*Alvin is a very happy kitten.  He`s very curious, gets quite excited about mealtimes, and loves to be cuddled.  He has a formidable purr.*I am not currently at the shelter because I`m growing big and strong in a foster home! *Staff thinks I will be ready by early July*.You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-302-8707; you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed per animal.Once I am old enough to go home, I will have to be adopted at the shelter without a visit. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to visit while I’m in the foster home as it’s a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick. I want to be healthy for our new life together!

Story
Meet Sid! This goofy little guy is all heart. With his adorably wide-set eyes, awkward quirks and clumsiness, Sid has a way of making everyone smile. He is curious, always up for his next adventure and somehow turns everyday moments into entertainment. Beneath all his silliness is an affectionate, easygoing kitten who gets along great with adult cats, large dogs and young kiddos. If you are looking for a best friend who will keep you laughing and fill your home with personality, Sid is your guy.I am not currently at the shelter because I`m growing big and strong in a foster home! *Staff thinks I will be ready by mid July*.You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. Story
I am not currently at the shelter because I`m growing big and strong in a foster home! *Staff thinks I will be ready by mid July*.My name is Potato Salad. My foster family says when I first met them I was a little afraid of new people. You wouldn’t believe it now because my confidence has grown so much since then. I’ve met several new people and liked them all. Everyone LOVES me and my new found confidence. Snuggling is not my top priority but after a fun play session with my three littermates and toys I happily snuggle up with my littermates and foster family. You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
I’m currently in a loving foster home offsite! Please contact my foster parent, Eschelle, at celarent1@hotmail.com to inquire about me or set up a visit! Please allow up to 24 hours for my foster parent to respond.Yogi and Sheeba are a highly bonded pair. They are both spayed and neutered and also front declawed. They are both chill cats and do their own thing for the most part. They spend lots of time together. They like to sleep in bed with you. They both enjoy being petted although Yogi on occasion may get a bit overstimulated with too much petting. They don`t like being picked up. They are somewhat skittish of new people/settings and it takes them several weeks to get acclimated to new people and surroundings. It took them about a week just to start exploring their space when they went to their foster house. They are both fully litter trained and have immaculate litterbox habits. They are indoor only. They have been around dogs in the past, having lived with a small terrier which they seemed to get along, but they haven`t been around dogs more recently and may not enjoy living with a new dog since they are now older and didn`t grow up with it. They are both very relaxed and like a quiet house. They have been around a 7-year old in foster and seemed to do well with her. They have not been around any other cats. They will occasionally seek attention from the owner, but very much `on their own terms`. After a month in foster care, they do seem confident in the home and hang out in the main living areas and seek to be pet. Just know that it will take them some time to get used to new living arrangements.Inquiries are answered in the order received, and the foster parent will let you know your place in line if there are other interested adopters. A meet-and-greet is required before adoption. Adopters should be available to meet within 48 hours of inquiring; otherwise, preference may be given to the next person in line who can meet sooner. For everyone’s safety, current pets are not able to meet the foster animal before adoption. After the meet-and-greet, you will have 24 hours to visit the HSPPR Adoptions Lobby (11:00am–4:30pm) to complete paperwork and finalize the adoption.
