Mittens is a beautiful, sleek adventurous kitten, who is usually too busy to snuggle. She loves to play with her brothers, but is independent enough to be adopted on her own ##1851822##

Story
Overstimulated Cats:Cat is a high-energy (overstimulated) cat. Overstimulated cats can often play rough, nip, scratch, and become over-the-top way too quickly and sometimes these behaviors happen because of too much petting or attention. Most of the time these cats are very friendly, affectionate, and love attention; however, they can strike out in a short amount of time. Learn to know when your cat is becoming overstimulated and stop petting them as soon as the behaviors begin. It is best to not encourage overstimulated behaviors so you can `teach` your cat how to accept attention appropriately. Use toys such as feather wands, balls, and toy mice to help distract your cat. Also have several interactive play sessions with him/her daily to help get his/her energy out!

Story
My Husbands father passed away recently and now have to find a home for his cat. It’s a male, white w/black spots, he was friendly with his owner but still hides any time we come over. So we will have to set a live trap to catch him and he’ll definitely need time to warm up. We have tried all the rescues but they will not take him since he hides; so this is the last resort before we have to take him to the humane society.

Story
This Tom & Jerry are no cat & mouse pair! These grey and white boys are a pair of good pals, no fighting between them! Jerry is 9 months old and has a white fur around his nose, while Tom is 11 months old and has grey fur around his nose. They were abandoned by their owners and a good samaritan brought them to safety at Happy Cats. Both boys are very sweet to each other and to humans. Jerry is a Snuggle Bunny and is bit more outgoing and talkative than Tom. Tom starts out shy, sitting quietly behind his younger brother, but soon comes out for pets and purrs too. Both boys enjoy gentle pets and will purr and lean into your hand. Tom & Jerry are doing well with the other cats at the Haven, but will probably do best in a family without small children or dogs. They may adapt and learn to love all of their siblings, or be super happy as the only babies in the home. Since they’re bonded and help each other be brave, they can go home together with our Friends & Family discount for a total of $120 for both boys, which includes their neuters, vaccinations, microchips, food and litter starter kits, and a free well-kitty checkup each to help you get started. You can click here https://happycatshaven.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an Adoption Application or leave a message at 719-725-4970. Someone should get back to you during our adoption hours Wednesday – Sunday by 5 pm. If you need to contact someone more quickly, please call 719-362-4600 and we’ll do our best to get back to you within 48 hours.

Story
Howdy, I’m Jack! My friends call me Cap’n Jack because I have a little swashbuckle once you get to know me 😻. I’m a handsome white patched tabby with a cute white blaze, mask and front toe socks. I’m a Hemo Hero, having saved hundreds of other cats as a blood donor. Now I’m ready to retire and spend my golden years in the sun. At just 8 years old, I still have a lot of love to give and a lot of life to live! I still love to play like any little whippersnapper whenever you get out the kitty wands, as long as I don’t have to compete with anyone else. I’m an affectionate little guy once playtime is over, ready for headbonks and purrs with my favorite people. I’ll probably be your favorite Kitty Admin, ready to take over managing your home and life just the way you like it. I would love to be your one and only to have all your attention after years of living with lots of other cats. But I’d probably do fine with another nice cat and might be brave enough for a mellow, cat-friendly dog. I should do well with just about any human family. You can adopt me for $80 which includes my neuter, vaccinations, microchip, food and litter starter kit, and a free well-kitty checkup to help you get started. I also just had a dental last month so my pearly whites should be good to go! You can click here https://happycatshaven.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an Adoption Application or leave a message at 719-725-4970. Story
Have you ever had that joyful experience of finally getting a shy cat to lean into petting with love? If so, Riley & Luka are looking for a Superhero just like you! Adorable little tabby Riley came to Happy Cats after being rescued from trying to survive outside in a homeless camp, which you can tell by her tipped-ear badge of courage. Big handsome tabby Luka has white paws, vest and big green eyes. He came back to us after his guardian died and he was left alone for a long time. They met each other at here at the Haven and have been friends ever since! They are are more than ready to have their own home and family to love. Because of their scary early lives they needed time to learn to trust, but now they get very excited to see their friends! They greet their favorite people with lots of rubs, head bonks and chirps. They both appreciate being able to initiate petting, but once they consent, they are very affectionate. They both love to snuggle next to you when you sit on the floor with their favorite blanket in your lap, which is a kitty magnet for them! Riley will lay and roll in your lap, while Luka is a Sidecar Cat who loves to snuggle right next to you. They also love to be brushed during their snuggle sessions. Being picked up has been scary for them in the past, so they do best when they can be in charge of how and when they are petted. As your favorite Kitty Admins, they can be extremely helpful about the house! We expect they’ll follow you around–especially Riley!–and give you instructions on whatever it is you’re doing. If you do well, they may even reward you with a headbonk and some purrs! Riley is a flirty little lady once you get to know her and Luka will be your steadfast, green-eyed man of the house. Playtime is the best way to win their hearts and keep them confident. In spite of Riley’s sweet appearance, she’s a fierce little hunter when it comes to playtime. Get out any wand toy and you won’t believe how fast she is! Neither of them can resist when a toy disappears under a rug or blanket. They come with a Cat Dancer and fleece wand to keep increasing their confidence at their new home. This will also help them bond to their new family. Both cats love high perches and will come with a cat tree to provide that. Riley survived by hiding up in trees when she was outside and Luka loves his high perches too. This helps them stay confident when they’re feeling a little unsafe. They have lived at Happy Cats for many months and will need at least 2 months in their Safe Room, a quiet space to learn to trust and love their new family, as well as our Hands Off handling to help them build trust. Superhero Cats need to be the only pets in the home and do best in a home without small children. Superhero Kitties come with a kit that helps you support them while they become the lovable companions we know they can be (http://happycatshaven.org/kitty-superhero/). This includes a home installation, a top/side loading carrier per kitty, a mini-class in Hands Off Handling, their favorite toys & bedding, 3 months of food/litter/treats, up to 1 year of professional behavioral counseling if needed. Riley is about 4 and Luka is about 6. They can be adopted together for $90 which along with their Superhero Kit includes their spay and neuter, vaccinations, microchips, food and litter and treats for 3 months, and a free well-kitty checkup each to help you get started. Please wait at least 2 months before taking them in for their checkup. You can click here http://happycatshaven.org/superhero-adoption-application/ to fill out a Superhero Adoption Application. Someone should get back to you within 48 hours after you send it in. If you’d like to contact someone more quickly, please call or leave a message at 719-725-4970 or 719-362-4600 to make an appointment to meet them!

Story
Hi, I’m Kiwi and I’m either named after the fruit or the bird from New Zealand -either way I am a super cute and adorable girl! I’m a dilute torbico with some grey, apricot, and white coloring and the most amazing green eyes. My guardian couldn’t care for me properly so I came here in hopes for a better life. I am a very outgoing Kitty Admin and will follow you around our home ‘helping’ you with your daily tasks. After doing some ‘work’ with you, I will need some playtime preferably with a cat dancer or other wand-type toy. Then it will be nap & snuggle time with gentle pets and chin scratches. I get along with most other cats and will probably also get along with cat-friendly dogs (with a slow introduction). I could be buddies with human kiddos too if they are very gentle with me. You can adopt me for $80 which includes my spay, vaccinations, microchip, food and litter starter kit, and a free well-kitty checkup to help you get started. Currently, I am staying at one of our sister locations, the Biscuit Factory Cat Cafe, with several other Happy Cats friends. Please tap here https://www.biscuitfactorycat.com to find out more about this adorable cafe. Story
Will you be my new furever pawrent? My name is Bato and I am ready to go home with you! I am a 10month old tuxedo boy with a perfect black mask, back and tail and my underside mainly white. I came to happy Cats when I was found outside with my siblings and a good Samaritan brought us all to safety. I received some training from my Foster Mom; she taught me to give high-fives and to shake for treats. I am very treat motivated especially with Churros and Greenies. I am comfortable wearing a harness, but need more practice walking on a leash. So going on leash adventures may be in our future! I am a bit shy at first and will need a slow introduction into my new home. I may stay in my safe-room for a while before I explore the rest of my new home. Be patient with me please! I will go from a Funny Valentine to a Snuggle Bunny in no time with a little patience and tender loving care. During snuggle times, I prefer slow, gentle pets please. I love to play and my favorite toys are mice, track balls, wands, and anything with catnip! I also love high perch areas and scratchers, so a tall cat tree with a scratching post would be purrfect. I’ll do best in a home with no cats as I can be a little bossy around them, and I’m afraid of dogs. I’ll blossom into my best self in a quieter home with no small children. You can adopt me for $80 which includes my neuter, vaccinations, microchip, food and litter starter kit, and a free well-kitty checkup to help you get started. I am located in foster care, so will need an official meet & greet to be scheduled beforehand. You can click here https://happycatshaven.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an Adoption Application or leave a message at 719-725-4970.
