Story
Lewis must be adopted along with his "brother" Clark. They shared a cage as rescue kittens. They need new homes because my wife and I are moving abroad and can't take them with us. Lewis is a gray and white domestic short-hair. He's an indoor cat but enjoys forays into our garden patio. Quietly affectionate, he purrs softly and doesn't mind being picked up. He likes being patted and scratched on his back, head, and neck. In the morning, he'll jump onto our bed and walk around its perimeter to confirm were both alive. When I get up, he gazes up at me fondly and mouths a silent meow, then leads me to the kitchen as if asking if it's okay to have breakfast. When I'm at my desk, he'll gently paw at my leg for attention. At night, he sits on the foot of my recliner while I watch TV. He loves tuna water squeezed from a can. Surprisingly for his otherwise calm nature, he requires anti-anxiety meds to endure long car rides. You must agree not to declaw him. Love him and he'll love you back!

Story
Clark must be adopted with his “brother” Lewis. They shared a cage as rescue kittens. They're 13 years old and need new homes because my wife and I are moving abroad and can’t take them with us. Clarkie is an affectionate, talkative, grey and white, domestic shorthair. He doesn't like being held, but he'll jump up and sit on your lap (or your laptop) or lie on top of your chest in bed. He's an indoor cat but enjoys roaming our garden patio and chasing geckos. Both cats' favorite food is "tuna water" pressed from cans of tuna fish. Yell "tuna water" and they'll come running. Both cats also like fresh cooked shrimp. Clarkie has a strange but funny habit: he loves to jump up onto a closed toilet lid and wait to be vigorously battled on both his sides. When we stop batting him, he looks over his shoulder and meows as if to say, “Keep it up!” He’s even been taught to give a “high five” to request more pats. Clarkie travels well in a carrier without anti-anxiety drugs. You'll enjoy him!

Story
My mother was found under a shed in Tarpon Springs pregnant. A nice lady rescued her and brought her to CJPaws to foster and have her kittens in a warm, safe home. I have 2 siblings and I love to play with dogs and cats and, especially, humans. Needs to be adopted with Elvis Presley. *** To apply to adopt one of our animals, please go to our website, http://www.cjpaws.org and visit the Adoptions page. *** Pets can be viewed by appointment only and an approved application is required to make an appointment to meet one of our animals. It can take up to 24 hours to respond to your application and an additional 1-2 business days to have your application approved. Not all applications will be approved. Applications that are incomplete will not be approved. Please include all veterinary information, as we will be contacting your veterinarian. If you have never had a pet before and thus do not have an established vet either in the area or in an area you previously lived in, we recommend adopting from your local Animal Services. Our adoption fee covers spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, monthly flea medication while in our rescue, any medications while in our rescue, an FIV/FeLV test, and the unconditional love of your new family member. Our rescue does not continue to pay for flea medication, vaccinations, deworming, or any other medications after the animal is adopted. All costs and fees accrued after adoption are the responsibility of the new family.

Story
Abbey is shy in new environments and takes some time to get comfortable, but once she knows she can trust you she is the sweetest companion! Abbey is not demanding of attention and is a rather "low maintenance" kind of kitty. When she't not enjoying a nap in a sunny window, she is happy just being near the people she loves. Abbey is a rather petite kitty (her tiny feet are so adorable!) and easily feels threatened by other cats with strong personalities, so she will do best as an only kitty or in a home with other gentle pets with shy personalities. *** To apply to adopt one of our animals, please go to our website, http://www.cjpaws.org and visit the Adoptions page. *** Pets can be viewed by appointment only and an approved application is required to make an appointment to meet one of our animals.
