Story
Mochi, along with his six siblings, were born to a "community cat." Their mom, Minx, a Lilac Point Siamese, was being fed with others but not spayed. When she turned up pregnant, the feeder waited until she was ready to deliver before he contacted us. Since Minx was clearly about to give birth, we set her up in our nursery. Sure enough, the very next day, she delivered seven babies. Their foster mom was present for the births, and it's a good thing! Minx had three breach babies on March 26th. On April 14th, we took in an orphaned single kitten of the same age. This little family accepted "Kimba" as one of their own. Minx raised all eight babies with such love and devotion that we are hoping she can be adopted with a pair of her littles. Mochi is a little sweetheart. While quite playful, he tends to be on the gentle and quiet side. His best friends seem to be Inky and Louie, but he would be happy to be adopted with any of his buddies. Our kittens are adopted in pairs, as we strongly believe that (for all involved) two is much better than one! DOB: 3/28/24

Story
Ravadoll and her mom, Mamacita, lost their person in July, 2025. They had been neglected by her for some time prior, due to her physical difficulties. The girls had been left alone in the home since her passing and were visited daily by a family member. They've been with us since 10/23 and have acclimated very well. Ravadoll is a quite girl, who welcomes attention and pets. The pair are not particularly bonded, but get along very well with each other. They can each be a bit testy with the other cats, but that is to be expected - having lived alone their entire lives and now are just two of many, some very active "teens." All in all, Ravadoll and Mamacita are doing extremely well, showing their ability to adapt to all scenarios. Once in a new home with less cats and activity, we feel certain that all will go well. They deserve to live out their lives with love, being cared for as they should. Ravadoll required a dental procedure upon admission, and six teeth were extracted. Her overall health is very good. Unless someone wants to adopt the pair, Mamacita (13 years old) will remain with us as a hospice case. She suffers from kidney disease and slight hyperthyroidism. Mamacita tends to roam the sanctuary, moving about with grace and curiosity, while Ravadoll pretty much stays put in one place.

Story
This little guy has some amazingly beautiful markings to go along with his amazingly wonderful purrsonality. Silas (DOB: 04/21/2023) was a stray kitten who, thankfully, was rescued and brought to us. This little guy is uber-affectionate. Silas loves to play and especially snuggle and sleep with his two best friends, George and Miley. He enjoys being held and combed and even likes kisses! Silas will come running the moment his foster mom enters the room...he will jump up on the nearest piece of furniture to her, so he can put his paws on her shoulders, his nose in her face and talk and purr away. He just can't get enough love! We say he is "special needs" because he does have one bad habit. He likes to chomp on his foster mom's chin, and it hurts! She's trying to break him of that habit and is making slow and steady progress. DOB: 4/21/23

Story
Trixie joined us on 4/20/22 at ten months old. She's such a sweet and gentle girl, and adores her foster mom and follows her around chirping and chattering away. She loves to sleep curled up next to her "mom", other cats and the dog. Trixie gets along well with the other cats and has especially bonded with Holly. Their purrsonalities are very well matched. Story
This angel of a cat is truly a miracle. Carlito was a (probably abandoned pet) stray in Brooksville, being tended to as part of a group of community cats. On June 18, 2024, he literally crawled up the steps of his feeder’s home, very weak and bleeding profusely from his left front leg. He was rushed to the ER, where they determined he had multiple old, necrotic wounds and several new, deep bite wounds, which were likely dog and snake. The leg needed amputation to save his life and, while under anesthesia, he was neutered and ear tipped. Carlito spent a week at the ER. When his feeder was called to pick him up, she was told to release him back outside. She rightly refused and gave him sanctuary in her home, where he did remarkably well. Fast forward to November 26, 2024 when we took possession of this handsome boy. We brought him to our vet, where he tested positive for hookworms (successfully treated) and FIV. FIV isn’t a death sentence, nor is it a cause for concern in a multi-cat home. FIV positive and negative cats can easily cohabit with no issues as long as there are no deep bites. Carlito is a lover, not a fighter! We were advised to give him a week or two of rest then schedule him for a complete dental, which we did. He had a deep cleaning and only one tooth required extraction. Acclimating Carlito to the sanctuary and the other residents didn’t take long at all. It seems he’s never met a cat he didn’t like, and our residents think he’s grand! You can always find a cat or three whispering in his ear, cuddling with him as they snore away into dreamland, or conducting mutual grooming sessions. Carlito was a bit leery of our cat-friendly, large dog, but he has grown more comfortable and would likely do fine around a gentle dog who respects Carlito's boundaries. Losing a leg hasn’t slowed this guy down a bit. He can make it to the top of any cat tree, or the bottom levels, or anywhere in between. He quickly learned to maneuver the cat doors leading from room to room (never to outside!) When he spots his foster mom, he scampers quickly to get in front of her and flops down on his side, blocking her path and exposing his belly for rubs. If he doesn’t see her for a while, he will go to each door and call her until she comes, always requesting pets. While we’d be purrfectly happy for Carlito to stay with us, we believe he will flourish and thrive if he isn’t one of many, vying for human attention (his favorite). Carlito will make a wonderful, loving and entertaining addition to a very lucky family. DOB: 1/15/21? Characteristics Affectionate, Athletic, Brave, Curious, Friendly, Funny, Gentle, Playful, Smart, Loves Belly Rubs, Loves To Talk
