Story
Meet Zelda, the sunshine in fur! This radiant orange tabby found herself at the shelter due to unforeseen family circumstances, but she hasn't let that dim her spirits. Zelda's heart is as golden as her coat, radiating warmth and affection to everyone she meets. Did you know that only about 20% of orange kitties are female? That makes Zelda extra special! The shelter environment may be a bit overwhelming for her sensitive soul and Zelda longs for a serene haven to call her own-a tranquil abode where she can curl up in a cozy cat cubby and recharge. With a meow-squeak that melts hearts and a gentle demeanor, Zelda simply needs a little time to adjust to her new surroundings. Once settled, she promises to be your loyal companion, offering endless cuddles and unwavering companionship. Zelda would likely prefer a quiet home with no small children or other pets who would get in her business. Give Zelda a chance, and she'll fill your life with love and purrs forevermore.Zelda is all set for her forever home! She's been spayed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and parasites, and microchipped. If Zelda sounds like the perfect addition to your family, complete an adoption application to schedule a visit: https://westvalleyhumanesociety.org/adoptionapp/. ADOPT MIA! Mia came to us after a rough life outdoors. She has adjusted very well to indoor living, and she loves human companionship and affection. She often will crawl onto my lap, and we will watch videos. Usually, though, she just sits next to me and keeps me company while I'm doing work. She is fairly independent and can keep herself entertained too. One of her favorite past times is bird watching. She loves to look out the window. Because of Mia's life outdoors, however, she is not fond of other animals. She will need to be the only animal in her home. Many of our cats do better with an animal companion, so Mia offers an opportunity for those who prefer to have (or are limited to) just one animal. ----- Spayed female Microchipped Treated for parasites FIV/FeLV negative Microchipped Age-appropriate vaccines Indoor home No declawing $75 adoption fee

Meet Ellie & Zoe These charming Tortie sisters, Ellie and Zoe, are on the lookout for a loving home! At 2 1/2 years old, they bring delight with their unique personalities. Zoe, with her dark coat and friendly demeanor, is always up for playtime with a wand toy. Ellie, with her orange splashes and "tortie-tude," prefers to give consent for attention but loves tummy rubs when she's in the mood. They enjoy climbing and exploring, especially knocking things off elevated surfaces (a classic cat hobby!). While Zoe is open to affection anytime, Ellie appreciates understanding and may do best in a home without young children who may misinterpret her signals. Both girls are indoor-only, litter box trained, and adore wet food and Churu squeeze-up treats. If you're ready to welcome this dynamic duo into your heart and home, reach out to us to arrange a meet-and-greet! Story
Meet Olive!    Olive is a short-haired tabby. She is approximately 1 year old. She came to us after being rescued from a terrible home environment. Ask in the office if you want details about her previous life. She was adopted and it wasn’t a good fit despite the adopter’s patience and love. Please read about her below before considering adopting her. She’s a loving, wonderful kitty with people. She is friendly and loves everybody she meets. She loves toys and has lots of kitten energy but is much calmer than most kittens.    She doesn’t like other cats and can react very strongly. She’s proving to be cat-selective. When she first arrived, she struggled with severe diarrhea likely due to stress. She will need to stay on a special diet of sensitive stomach food. This has made the diarrhea better after many months of experimenting with different foods. She needs to be an only cat or have enough room so that she doesn’t have to interact closely with another cat. She would love a home where she would be the center of attention. We are not sure about dogs. It would depend on the personality of the dog and how they were introduced.  She did great with a kid in her previous home but it would depend on the family dynamics and age of the kid(s).    Recently, we took her to the vet to deal with a medical issue. Lumps started appearing on the side of her spine. They got bigger and started duplicating. After some diagnostic testing, it was determined that her kidneys are floppy and sit in a weird place. We have documentation from the vet stating this and her test results. Her kidneys are fully functional and in excellent health at this moment. This could change in the future so this is something to consider. She’s so playful and loving and would love to be your new best friend. We require the cat manager's approval to adopt her due to her various issues as we want to ensure she goes into the perfect home.  Contact us today or stop in to meet her!   Our prices are       Kitties 0-4 months - $80       5 months -7 Yrs. -  $70 8 Yrs. Story
Meet Hazel!   Hazel is a short-haired dark tabby with a short tail. She is about 3 years old. She was returned after no longer being a good fit with her adopted family. We recommend against dogs. She was brought back due to reacting strongly to a dog being introduced into the household. This reaction included not using her litter box and showing severe signs of stress. She’s cat-friendly and did well with older kids (12+) in her previous home. She’s a sweet girl who enjoys affection and attention on her terms. She loves chin rubs and being petted on her head. It took several months to get comfortable in the shelter but she has settled in. She has a fun personality that is fairly independent and sassy at times. She would do great in a home where she could bond and connect with one or two people in a quiet, relaxed setting. She’s ready to find her forever family. Contact us today and ask more about her or stop in to see her today! Our prices are       Kitties 0-4 months - $80       5 months -7 Yrs. -  $70 8 Yrs.
