Story
Beaker came to PCAPS in April, with multiple chemical burns on his back. Through this recovery, he has remained very friendly and people focused, and he is eager to find his forever home. His foster carer reports:`In the years I`ve fostered cats, I`ve never encountered such a sweet, friendly kitty. Despite his wounds, from the first day he came into our house he was ready to sit on laps and purr, and purr and purr!. This has remained his favorite thing to do, so if you want a true lap-cat, Beaker is your boy.` Beaker gets along with his foster family`s two cats, is inquisitive about their little Shih Tzu, and can be found playing with the dog`s tail . On the other hand, he does not love the big dog. Beaker enjoys typical cat toys, and loves chasing a laser pointer. Be advised, because he likes being around people, he will sometimes get underfoot. He also is learning not to jump on tables and counters :-)If you want a cat that will cuddle with you and help you with your computer work, Beaker is the perfect cat for you!

Not good with kids, Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hi there, I'm Olivia and I am 3-years-old. I am a darling, brown tabby, girl who came to the shelter with my siblings and a group of my friends. Since then I was adopted out as a single cat and returned. I was very stressed in my previous household to the point where I was uncomfortable with the kids and stopped using the litterbox. Since coming back to TAPS I have reconnected with my human friends, am feeling much better, and have even gone to live in a nice foster home. I still occasionally miss just the edge of the litterbox but am doing much better. I am much more relaxed, playful, and enjoy toys or a cat tree to lay in! I am also cuddly and a BIG fan of food! I am a soft and sweet girl. If you think I could be the girl for you, please fill out an application online and my foster mom would be glad to bring me for a visit and sing my praises!

Story
2 years.....not only is that how old Violet recently turned, but that's also approximately how long she has been at TAPS. Violet wants all of your love and attention and is actually very affectionate she just doesn't fully know how to express it. She unfortunately never learned how to properly socialize since she didn't grow up with her littermates so her excitement gets the best of her sometimes and then her teeth get involved with a few love nibbles. She is a staff favorite because of her sassy, playful personality and we believe In the right home where she is the only pet with the right UNDERSTANDING human(s) this sweet baby will thrive and become the cuddly cat we all know her to be! If you have the patience and thick skin to work with Violet, please complete an application online at tapsshelter.org. Adoption Fee: $40Estimated Date of Birth: 8/23/21Intake Reason: transfer from Fulton County Humane, original intake unknownAnimal will be spayed and up to date on vaccines, and microchipped prior to adoption. If their kennel card on display at TAPS shelter facility is marked as unaltered, the animal will be altered prior to being released for adoption. Animal stage may change from time to time based on surgery and medical status. TAPS strives to keep kennel cards as up to date as possible with current information but from time to time, information may change and a new kennel card may be pending. Full and current vaccination schedule and medical records along with any behavioral disclosures will be provided at time of adoption.

Story
Hi there, I'm Kris and I am 3 years old. I am a beautiful Torbie girl who came to TAPS from a kill shelter some distance away. I brought along a little surprise with me too...I was expecting. When that was discovered, I went to live in a foster home where my babies were born and I take awesome care of them. If they get too far out of sight, I still call them even though they are big enough to fend for themselves. I am a sweet and friendly young lady. I enjoy pets and sitting with my human friends. I am also still quite playful and love it when my foster mom plays with dangling toys or laser lights with me. I also like the rolling toys to bat across the floor. I am curious and like to explore or bird/squirrel watch through the window. I am very easy to get along with. If you think that I could be a good fit for your forever family, please fill out an online application so we can meet and get to know each other soon!

Story
Hi, I'm Tigress, I'm 1 12 yrs old, and I'm what they call a Torbie. That means I look like a tabby cat, but I have apricot coloring also which makes me part Tortoiseshell, too! All that to say is I am gorgeous and very regal looking. My siblings and I were born outside and we didn't have much human contact until we were a few months old so I am slowly coming out of my shell. It has taken months to get me to this point. Somehow, I have decided that I occasionally like to go belly up so my foster mom and dad can rub my belly. Yet, I still will run away if I am not ready to have petting and affection. Just like all of my siblings, I do not want to be alone. I need one of my siblings or another kitten to help comfort me and be my friend. I love treats, toys, and I also come around if I hear rustling to see if it's a treat for me. I am looking for a patient new family to help me with trust and lots of love. If you think I could be the girl for you, please fill out an online application, so we can meet. Let's find out if we can be that perfect fit!

Story
Hi there, I'm Dawn and I am 3 years old. I am a gorgeous dilute tortoiseshell girl. I came to TAPS harboring a little secret...I was expecting! I have been living with a foster family since! My foster mom has this to say about me: "Dawn came to live with us 12 months ago. She raised 5 sweet baby kittens who have all now been adopted. She loves people, but not other animals. Given enough time, she might get along with another cat, but she does not like dogs. She is a beautiful cat that deserves a loving, patient, quiet home of her own. The family that chooses her should be prepared to buy extra toilet paper. She loves nothing more than toilet paper parties!" If you'd like to meet me, please fill out an online application so my foster mom can make that happen for us!
