Dolly was a 3rd cat in our home 2 years ago and she created some behavioral issues with another cat we had for a few years. The other cat stopped using the litter box. We were able to successfully rehome her 2 years ago but a few months ago she was found as a lost cat and we were still on the microchip. Unable to locate the rehomed owner, we decided to give it a try again. 2 years did not change the behavioral issues and the other cat has stopped using the litter box again. She appears to have had stress issues before she came to us because she has licked herself bald in a few spots. The vet said this was not a skin condition, likely stress from being at the shelter when she was a lost pet.

Despite her shyness, she likes to sit or sleep nearby, especially when she can watch the TV, and loves it when you talk to her. Lacie is 4 years old. We got her from a litter of kittens that my sister had (she adopted a pregnant cat). She is a very sweet cat. She loves to be around people and will want to sleep in your bed with you when she gets to know you. She doesn't like being picked up and cuddled on but she loves long pet sessions and will sometimes lay on your chest or in your lap. Lacie also loves eating. She is a very curious cat and will mess with things and go into places even when you don't want her to. We would want someone who will love her and treat her well. She does well with small dogs and other cats. I haven't seen her with big dogs so I don't want her to go to a place that has big dogs. She misses you if you're gone for too long so her new owner would have to be someone who doesn't leave her for long stretches of time often (ex. longer than a work day).
