Story
***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org***   Hope likes toys and treats and the running wheel in her room at the shelter. She doesn’t like it when humans reach for her. She would like to be left to do her thing, and if you push her on that, she’ll bolt. She is much more willing to share space with humans than even a year ago, though.  Hope needs a patient and understanding human who will let her learn to feel safe at her own pace.  November 4, 2024, 8:52 pm

Story
***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the adoption application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org*** Just look at this sweet little gal.  We call her Grannie and she was trapped during a TNR effort.  She was already up there in years and the vets that did her spay surgery thought she was sweet.  They asked if she could possibly get a spot in rescue to be inside and no longer live her life on the streets.  We were happy to make her a spot and fulfill their request.  No more kittens for sweet Grannie and lots of cat cuddle buddies to keep her company.  You can usually find her on the window shelf in the orange room in the middle of a kitty cuddle puddle just snoozin her day away.  If you think you might have a spot to elevate her lifestyle even more we are sure she would love a life in a home even more than a life in rescue.  She is spayed, vaccinated, FeLV/Fiv negative and microchipped.  As always our adoption fee is free will for cats/kittens to approved applicants. November 4, 2024, 8:52 pm

Story
The first step in the adoption process is to complete the adoption application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org This is Dexter and he has a brother Doug that he really loves!  Doug and Dexter came from a hoarding situation and had little socialization.  Both of the boys are sweet, shy and reserved but we feel that they are also the kind of cats that if given the opportunity to be in a calm home they would flourish and become affectionate boys that would be so grateful for their new life.  The boys were born October 2019 and are neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.  Do you have a calm quiet home and a big heart willing to be patient while the boys learn about love and acceptance? As always our adoption fee for cats and kittens is free will to approved applicants. November 4, 2024, 8:52 pm

Story
***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org*** Sweet little Mary Ann was born summer of 2021 and lived in a foster home until she was old enough to join the kitties at the shelter.  Her transition was a slow one and she wasn't sure about all the strangers and everything going on but to know her silly self now you wouldn't ever guess!  She has taken over the job of 'helping' with litter box scooping and her favorite thing to do is to be flipped over for a tummy rub.  Mary Ann gets along great with the other cats in her room and is always playing with someone or something even if she can't find a toy a piece of fuzz can entertain her all morning long.  She is often seen hanging out with her equally silly sister Ginger.  The two love to run on the cat wheel together and make quite the pair!  Even though the two girls had been separated for awhile, it took no time at all for them to remember one another and become fast friends once again. Mary Ann is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.  As always our cat and kitten adoption fee is free will to approved applicants. November 4, 2024, 8:52 pm

Story
***The first step in the adoption process is to go to our website at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org to complete the Adoption Application*** Who would've guessed that this big ol hunk of love was a recent former stray tomcat? He's always ready for some love from the humans coming in & out of the room all day & boy would he ever just let you pet & love on him all day long if you let it happen! Howard can often be found lounging in a pile of other cats in the room with him. He can get grumpy with the younger kitties but he definitely seems to get along just fine with the older ones. Howard would love a home where he has lots of comfy & warm spots to lay & a nice human to pet him to his heart's content. He'd do well with another older cat or two, in a home with older children or no children. Howard is up to date on his vaccines & is neutered. As always, all cat/ kitten adoption fees are a free will donation for approved applicantsNovember 4, 2024, 8:52 pm

***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org*** Leah is a gorgeous Classic Tabby girl.  Just check out those distinct swirl patterns in her soft fur. While Leah is shy, she is sweet and would do better in a home setting with out the commotion of the shelter.  Her sister Lizzy is more outgoing but super chill and both girls are very laid back.   Born March of 2021 these girls are still looking for a home to call their own.  Both of the girls would appreciate a calm house that is quiet and they can enjoy their days checking out sunny spots on the floor waiting for someone to come home.  Both of the girls are on the bigger side considering they are females.  They have been spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. ***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org*** Chia and his silly cross eyed brother Sunflower are both sweet, playful, outgoing, affectionate and goofy! These boys were born April of 2022 and have had a great time at the shelter playing with the other cats and enjoying the pets from the staff and volunteers but they would really love a home!  And who wouldn't love to have a tiny house panther (or two!) to entertain you and keep you company?  The boys are neutered, up to date on vaccinations, FeLV/FIV negative and micro-chipped.
