Chanel is a very affectionate kitten she’s also spayed. She loves to go on your lap when petting her and she goes crazy with those toys attached with strings. She’s playful, loves to eat and is very well with other cats and children. She will go to any great home that gives her the right attention!

Story
Hi! My name is Dorinda, also known as Dorito, and I'm looking for a loving home to call my own! I am 4 years old and I've been at the shelter since 4/14/26.I spent some of my early childhood at AAHS and was adopted by a wonderful family. However, as time went on, they noticed that the environment I was living in wasn't suitable, so they brought me back to the shelter to find me my forever home. I am looking for a quiet and calm environment, with likely no other animals. In my previous home, my people noticed I did not like dogs, or even the sound of them. Staff have also noticed this during my time at AAHS. I have met a cat before, and I did alright, but I may be best off being your one and only certified snuggle bug!I am such a sweet girl! I will snuggle with you all day if you let me, and I can almost guarantee I will pull at your heart strings!I also have a condition called FIC, or Feline Idiopathic Cystitis. This is a condition of unknown origin common in many cats that results in inflammation of the bladder and/or urethra. I'm on a prescription diet for this, but currently no medications! Staff would be happy to answer any questions about me and my condition, so please call, or come into the shelter and ask! I'd be happy to meet you if you stop by!If you are interested in adopting me, please visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or you can call the Adoption Team at 218-722-5341 as early as 10:30 AM and place a nonrefundable $25 hold towards my adoption fee to put you first in-line to adopt! Our adoption team is available via phone Tuesday-Friday from 10:30am-6:00pm and Saturday-Sunday 10:30am-4:00pm. Our adoption process is first come first serve so long as the interested party is a good fit for the animals needs. DORINDA'S ADOPTION FEE: $150 plus tax. This fee is used for the extensive costs associated with vetting and otherwise caring for Dorinda and future pets at our shelter. Every adopter from Animal Allies receives a pet that has been spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Our pets also receive dental work or other treatments when necessary. In addition, Animal Allies provides free lifetime post-adoption counseling to help with any behavioral issues or concerns you may have for your new pet! Story
Hello! My name is Earlobe. My best friends, Kneecap and Armpit, are looking for a loving home for all of us! We are all 8yrs old and we've been at the shelter since May 5th.We are all very sweet and can be a little shy when meeting new people. We would do best in a quiet home with not a lot going on. We have done great with each other but some of us can be a little timid towards dogs. So staff thinks best if we are a cat only home. We are more independent and like to do things on our own terms. Armpit can be a little more affectionate from time to time. If you are interested in adopting us, please visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or call the adoption team at 218-722-5341 for more information! Our adoption staff is available by phone Tuesday-Friday from 10:30am-6:00pm and Saturday-Sunday 10:30am-4:00pm. Hi! My name is Sassy Wnx and I'm looking for a loving home to call my own! I am 7 years old and I've been at the shelter since 4/28.I am an affectionate talkative girl, but I'll let you know my boundaries! Since I was born with one eye, I can be easily startled. As long as you make yourself know, I am soo happy to see you! My ideal home would be somewhere calm and inviting where I am queen of the castle! I have lived with cats before and done well, but dogs are very scary to me, so I would prefer not to live with them. Story
Hello world! My name is Skelly. I'm 13 years old and I am looking for a patient and loving home with no other animals to live out my golden years. Back in October, I was found as a stray out in Saginaw. A kind person brought me to Animal Allies and my journey began. It was immediately obvious that I had been out on my own for quite some time; I was clearly older, very scared, and underweight. After some tests, we found out that I also have hyperthyroidism and will need lifelong medication. It was clear that I wanted attention and love, but I would still get scared and overstimulated when people tried to pet me - occasionally leading to a lash out (swatting and nipping). On the other hand, I would also get sad when people would try to leave my room, and I would go after their legs to stop them and get them to stay with me. This behavior can be off-putting to some, so staff sent me to a foster home to see how I would do in a home environment instead of the shelter. While in foster I've really come out of my shell and have been having such a fun time. Even though I'm 13 years old, I still LOVE to play! My foster introduced me to feathered wand toys and I go crazy for them - I run and leap as if I'm still a kitten! I also love looking out windows, getting yummy treats, and more than anything being around my person/people. I'm a total lap cat and want to always be around you, even if just passively. I'm still very much a princess however and will get frustrated with you if I'm not getting enough attention. At first, I would let my foster know my frustration by giving nips, but she's been teaching me that there are better ways to ask for love. I'm most comfortable only being pet on my head and ears, but I love to rub up on people and pet them! When I get worked up and bitey, my foster just calmly says "nooo" and I'll stop and go back to rubbing on her. I'm definitely looking for a home with humans who understand cat body language and have the patience to work with me. Once I trust you, I really am the sweetest little lady! I have the best purr, enjoy snuggles, and am so much fun to be with! I hope there is someone out there with a heart full of love and patience that is willing to give me the adoring home I've been longing for!SKELLY'S ADOPTION FEE: $25 plus tax. This fee is used for the extensive costs associated with vetting and otherwise caring for Skelly and future pets at our shelter.
