Story
True to his name, Velocity approaches life with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a healthy dose of kitten chaos. Whether he's launching himself into an ambitious jump, scaling the nearest cat tree, or racing after a favorite toy, this playful little guy is always ready for his next adventure.
When Velocity first arrived in foster care, the world felt a little overwhelming. He spent his first days tucked safely away, observing from a distance and taking everything in. But with a cozy hiding spot and some gentle encouragement, his confidence quickly blossomed. Now he explores his surroundings like he's lived there forever.
While Velocity has an adventurous side, he's also a sweetheart at heart. He loves affection and has a charming habit of crying when he thinks he's been left all alone. The moment you answer him, he'll come trotting over, rubbing against your legs and happily soaking up attention. Once he feels safe, he's incredibly loving and enjoys plenty of pets—including his favorite: belly rubs.
Like any growing kitten, Velocity spends his days bouncing between energetic play sessions and well-earned naps. String toys, scratchers, and wrestling matches with his siblings are some of his favorite activities. His foster family says he's especially entertaining to watch, thanks to his impressive jumps, fearless climbs, and goofy antics.
Velocity can be a little cautious when faced with new environments, people, or animals, but he doesn't stay nervous for long. He was initially unsure about the resident cats in his foster home, and now he's trying his best to make them his friends. Given a little time and patience, he's proven that his curiosity almost always wins out over his worries.
Velocity rides quietly in the car, is litter box trained, and has adjusted beautifully to foster life. He'll thrive in a home that offers gentle introductions, a safe place to retreat when he needs it, and plenty of opportunities for play and affection.
Sweet, adventurous, and endlessly entertaining, Velocity is the kind of kitten who will make you laugh one minute and melt your heart the next. If you're looking for a playful companion with a goofy streak and a loving soul, Velocity may be the perfect match. ❤️🐾

Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
