Story
Peter is an about 5-year-old orange tabby who has been deeply loved by his family, but the arrival of a new baby has made life very stressful for him. His owner has tried everything—veterinary consultations, anxiety medication, treats, enrichment, and creating quiet safe spaces—but Peter remains anxious and jealous around the infant. Because he is such a sensitive, affectionate cat, he truly needs more one-on-one attention than the family can give right now. Despite this struggle, Peter is a wonderful companion in the right environment. He’s sweet, loving, and enjoys curling up near his people. He gets along well with other cats and does fine with most dogs. Small children, however, are too overwhelming for him, so he would thrive best in an adult-only household or a calm home with older teens. Peter enjoys being indoors but also likes the occasional safe outdoor time for fresh air and exploring. This gentle boy deserves a peaceful home where he can relax, feel secure, and soak up the affection he loves so much. With a patient adult adopter, Peter will blossom into the loyal, loving companion he’s meant to be. Could you be his fresh start?November 22, 2025, 2:51 pm

Story
Biscotti’s story is one that will stay with you. Found after days—possibly a week—of being abandoned near a closed business, Biscotti was huddled next to an air unit, exhausted, emaciated, and suffering from painful eye infections. He was so weak he didn’t even attempt to run or eat when help arrived. Someone had tried to leave food, but it had long gone untouched. Now safe with 9 Lives Cat Rescue, Biscotti is slowly recovering with warmth, medical care, and lots of gentle love. Though his body was fragile, his spirit remained kind. He’s affectionate, calm, and eager to trust—leaning into comfort and human touch as he realizes he’s finally safe. Biscotti will need a home that understands he’s been through trauma and will continue to heal with patience and love. In return, he’ll offer quiet affection, soft purrs, and the deep gratitude of a kitten who knows what it means to be rescued. Biscotti is ready for a second chance—and a forever family who will never look away.December 30, 2025, 2:44 pm

Story
Otis is a sweet, older gentleman who deserves a warm, loving home to spend his golden years. Estimated to have been born in 2017, he was found as a stray in the county, likely having fended for himself for some time. Despite his rough past, Otis is incredibly gentle and friendly—he’s a true sweetheart who gets along wonderfully with people and other cats. He shows no aggression at all and enjoys quiet companionship and plenty of mealtime attention—this boy *loves* to eat! Otis is a special needs cat due to his age and FIV+ status, but don’t let that scare you. FIV+ cats can live long, fulfilling lives indoors with minimal extra care. He simply needs a stable, low-stress environment and regular vet checkups to stay healthy. If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate cat who will appreciate every bit of kindness you give, Otis is your guy. Give this senior sweetheart a second chance at the safe, loving home he’s been waiting for. June 2, 2025, 4:37 pm
