Hi, I'm Athena! I'm a gentle older gal with a sweet disposition, looking for a place to call home alongside my brother, Kato. The two of us have been together since the start, and I just can't imagine life without him. We have both been very gentle and affectionate with young children in the past, but we've never been around other cats or dogs. I am fairly laid-back, but am hoping for my new family to help encourage me to exercise through interactive playtime. ____________________________________ Kato and Athena are both very obese and will need a gradual weight loss plan in consultation with adopter's veterinarian. They also have skin conditions that will need further diagnostics and treatment with adopter's veterinarian. If there are underlying food or environmental allergies causing their skin conditions, this may require ongoing management including medications and/or a special diet.

Hi, I'm English Toffee! I'm a sweet and gentle soul, although a little reserved. Once I get to know you, I enjoy being pet and will quietly purr for you and lean into your hands. I'm hoping to find a calm and quiet place to call home where I can really come out of my shell. My foster says "My name is English Toffee. I love to get pet on my head and neck and will purr for you. I also love to play hide and seek, so you will have to find me. If you can be patient with me while I settle in, I think I will be good company. I am gentle and I don't use my claws, except on the scratching post. I always use the litter box. I like to play with toys to entertain myself. Will you give a timid girl a chance?

I came in with a lot of other kittens, and we all got along great, so I'm confident that I can make friends with any of your existing pets with a slow introduction. I've been very patient and gentle with handling, which makes me a good candidate for kids, too! My foster says "He's such a sweet, silly boy! He loves to play but will also settle in next to you on the couch for a cuddle. He's done really well with my 3 year old and 6 year old and just goes under a bed for a nap when he's had enough."
