Story
Hitla is a 3 year old, bicolor female cat. She is very loving and likes to sleep next to you in bed. She will paw at you if you start petting her and then stop. She is liter boxed trained and eats only hard food. She does well with kids, dogs and other cats, along with kittens. She has been inside her whole life. She is a good cat but sadly I need to rehome all of my cats. I would like her to go to a loving family that will take good care of her.

Story
Lucky was brought to the shelter from a hoarding situation. There were around 13 cats in the home. Lucky will need a patient and understanding adopter as she adapts to her new environment. Her foster mom continues to work with her on being able to pet her-she is very skittish of people. But she shows improvement daily. She is around one year old and weighs 5-6 pounds. She is litter box trained. Lucky has so much kitten energy! She loves toys and meal time! She loves playing with her sister Ficus Audrey (also available for adoption) and the other cats in her foster home. We will require that her new home have another well -adjusted cat in the home, so she has an example to follow and a playmate!

Story
Hi, I'm Polka Dot Begonia! I recently came to CMHS after my person passed away, so unfortunately the staff doesn't know very much about me yet. I lived with lots of other cats in my last home (see the rest of the House Plants cats), so I'd be happy to have a feline friend (new or old) in my next home.

Story
Hello, I'm Ashley! I'm a happy, chatty girl with a bubbly personality. I can be very snuggly when I'm in the mood, and happily purr and flop to the floor. When I'm not asking for your attention, I'm chasing after wand toys, crinkle balls, and catnip mice. I also enjoy climbing cat trees, watching the birds and soaking up the sun. I lived with older children in my last home, as well as another cat, and enjoyed spending time with them. _____________________________________________________________________________ This cat previously tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus on 10/13/2021. On 4/9/24, this cat was tested for FeLV using an in-house Idexx snap test, and was below detectable limits. This test result does not indicate that the cat is not infected with FeLV, as regressively infected cats can have a below detectable limits test and still be infected. This cat can be housed with other cats that have tested positive for FeLV, but should not be housed with cats that have tested negative. The shelter recommends that the adopter follow up with their veterinarian to more accurately determine the cat's retroviral status, if recommended by their veterinarian.
