Story
Sophia NEEDS to be in a home with NO other cats. She is very dominate and will attack other cats. She has made the rounds of family homes, to see if she would not dominate a per-existing cat in a home; the answer to that is, YES, YES SHE WILL! She is tiny, beautiful and loving. She wants to be near people. Petting's are her thing, and purring is her love language!!! We think she is about 8 years old. Very set in her ways. She get along just fine with dogs. Basically, she ignores them. It has been a while since she has been around a dog so it may take her a few to adapt. She also does this weird meow growl thing. We think it's like when she is trying to decide if she is ok with something or not... Sophia prefers to be inside most of the time. We would like to be able to get updates on her and future pictures. We really do love her, we just want what is best for her! She will come with her scratch pole, small cat tree, litter box - empty, plus more items...

Story
Hi, I'm Lucky Bamboo! I recently came to CMHS after my person passed away, so unfortunately the staff doesn't know very much about me yet. I lived with lots of other cats in my last home (see the rest of the House Plants cats), so I'd be happy to have a feline friend (new or old) in my next home.

Story
Audrey was brought to the shelter from a hoarding situation. There were around 13 cats in the home. Audrey will need a patient and understanding adopter as she adapts to her new environment. She is around one year old and weighs 5-6 pounds. She is litter box trained. Audrey has so much kitten energy! She loves toys and meal time! She loves playing with her sister Lucky Bamboo (also available for adoption) and the other cats in her foster home. We will require that her new home have another well -adjusted cat in the home, so she has an example to follow and a playmate!

Story
Hello, I'm Ashley! I'm a happy, chatty girl with a bubbly personality. I can be very snuggly when I'm in the mood, and happily purr and flop to the floor. When I'm not asking for your attention, I'm chasing after wand toys, crinkle balls, and catnip mice. I also enjoy climbing cat trees, watching the birds and soaking up the sun. I lived with older children in my last home, as well as another cat, and enjoyed spending time with them. _____________________________________________________________________________ This cat previously tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus on 10/13/2021. On 4/9/24, this cat was tested for FeLV using an in-house Idexx snap test, and was below detectable limits. This test result does not indicate that the cat is not infected with FeLV, as regressively infected cats can have a below detectable limits test and still be infected. This cat can be housed with other cats that have tested positive for FeLV, but should not be housed with cats that have tested negative. The shelter recommends that the adopter follow up with their veterinarian to more accurately determine the cat's retroviral status, if recommended by their veterinarian.

Story
Marco is a sweet and loving cat with diabetes. He’s been given insulin for just over 2 years now. I adopted him from Second Chance 11 years ago. I had to move recently and am not allowed to keep him. I will supply the insulin and needles. I also have a glucose reader and everything else you would need (litter box, food dish, water dispenser, toys, etc). Marco loves to snuggle and lay in the sun. If you can attend to his need for insulin twice a day and love to be snuggled, Marco is the perfect fur baby for you. I’m beside myself trying to find a home for him. Marco deserves a wonderful home with wonderful people. He’s my heart.

Story
Midnight loves attention and would let you scratch it rub his forehead all day and you wouldnt stop you. I will add little bit of info for the question asking if he is good with kids. It's not that he hisses or swats. He would just end up running and hiding from a a random kid he is still used to. Sometimes he is cool with other people. It just depends on the situation. Midnight is such a loveable cat that would love a caring comforting home.

Good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Lily is 5 yrs old and was a barn runt. She's been raised 100% indoors and doesn't try to get out. She likes to lick, isn't very playful, and prefers to be near someone most of the time. She sleeps as close as you will let her at night, and can be vocal if left alone too much during the day. She's completely litterbox trained and doesn't have any dietary or medical restrictions. She does well with a covered litter box, because she is ocd and will "cover" her mess obsessively. She's smaller than your average housecat and is velvety soft. I think her ideal home would be with a senior who is home much of the time and might be a little lonely. She gets along with cats, and has been exposed to dogs, but doesn't seem too interested.
