I am a very sweet girl who can take some time to warm up to new people! I have come very far in my time here and I couldn't be prouder of all the things I've learned! I love to play with toys, especially laser pointers! Playing with toys is a great way to get to know me! Our love for each other blossomed in the shelter environment and we couldn’t be happier that we found each other. We can never be found too far apart, and we provide each other with a lot of comfort and support. I (Zipper) was rescued from under the Reserve Street bridge, and I am so excited to experience living in a home for the first time. I love head/chin scratches, and I have blossomed into one loveable and affectionate guy! I (Morticia) am more bashful than my best friend and developing a relationship with me takes time. Once you gain my trust, I love full body scratches and attention! We would do best in a calm, quiet home environment with people who will give us the time we need to adjust. More of Zipper's Story: Zipper is a part of the group of kitties that we rescued from under the Reserve Street bridge at the beginning of 2022. When he first arrived in our care, he was extremely sick with Calicivirus and spent many months in insolation while we nursed him back to health. Calicivirus is a viral pathogen that causes upper respiratory tract infections in cats. He made a full recovery from Calicivirus. Due to spending many years exposed to the elements and without proper veterinary care, Zipper now has chronic eye and skin issues. He has made amazing progress with the help of a special diet (single protein) and daily medication. Zipper is a part of the Gaia’s Landing program. This is Panda. She is two years old and an absolute sweetheart. She will cuddle and lay on you almost every night. I got her from the animal shelter. I, being a 19 year old at the time wasn’t very wise with my decisions and selfishly brought a cat home without having any knowledge about how to care for a cat. Now, I love her with all my heart but I cannot take care of her. I have grown attached to her and this is so hard but it’s what needs to be done. With my jobs, I dont spend enough time at home with her. I believe she has some sort of anxiety or attachment issues. What I’m looking for in an adopter is someone who can and will spend time with her. I just want to give her a better home than what I could have given her. On the description when I got her, it said she is an outside/inside cat. Now shes mostly been an inside cat due to our circumstances. It also said she’s good with other cats and dogs.
