Story
Quinn - Female DOB 4/7/2021 Domestic Short Hair - Calico Quinn is a reserved and thoughtful cat who may need a little time to adjust, especially after losing her longtime home when her person passed away. Once she feels secure, she becomes very affectionate and loves attention, especially if it’s paired with gentle brushing. She prefers a peaceful environment and would do best as the only pet in the home. She’s not a fan of dogs or children and would thrive in a quiet home with someone who will give her the time and patience she needs to come out of her shell. Quinn especially loves sitting with someone while she eats—she’ll eat more and seem happier when someone’s near, gently petting her and talking softly. A sunny spot by a window and a cozy place to curl up would make all her dreams come true!  Once she feels safe and happy, she loves to roll over and get continuous pets. Quinn was recently diagnosed with cystitis, but with an antibiotic and isolating her from the stress of the other cats, she’s doing wonderfully now. Our vet said her bladder is a bit smaller than most cats, but they feel it happens because she is stressed being around all the other cats at the rescue.  She does not need to be on a special prescription dry food, but a high quality urinary dry food will be helpful.  She has been on a low daily dose of Prozac which she takes easily in her food.  When she is separated from all the other cats, she's much more happy and loving of pets which will keep her much more happy. Please apply via our easy online application at https://furrr.org/cat-adoption-process/All kitten(s) and cat(s) at FuRRR Feline Rescue are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations for their age, combo tested for FIV/FeLV, microchipped and have a Health Certificate from a licensed NH veterinarian.  Our application is available to be completed online at  https://furrr.org/cat-adoption-process/  Applying DOES NOT guarantee approval.  We hold meet and greets with approved applications only.  (Kittens are available for adoption in pairs only unless they are going home to another kitten or young cat under 3) Our policy is strictly NO DECLAWING and INDOOR ONLY. Story
Timon - Male DOB 3/23/2024 Domestic Short Hair - Brown Tabby Timon is looking for a compassionate adopter to give him a forever home. He is a sweet tabby diagnosed with feline leukemia virus (FeLV). Despite his condition, Timon is thriving and symptom-free, and he’s searching for a loving home that can support his medical needs.  Timon is often seen making air biscuits while just laying down. He's a very happy cat with much love to give. Timon can be with another FeLv cat, or if you get your current cat vaccinated for it.  He would also be ok being your only kitty even though he does like other kitties. He would possibly be ok with a dog with a slow introduction, and dogs can't get the FeLv from cats, only other cats. FeLV is a virus affecting only cats, spread through grooming, bites, or shared bowls and litter boxes. It can lead to leukemia and other illnesses, with no cure. Kittens and elderly cats are more vulnerable, but some, like Timon, can remain symptom-free as the virus may regress. Originally testing negative, Timon later developed a fever, leading to his positive FeLV diagnosis. He remains a happy, affectionate cat who loves face rubs and birdwatching, and he’s ready to find his forever home. If you’re that special someone, click the button on the right to email the team you are interested—Timon is waiting for you!   Tina - Female DOB 4/15/2025 Domestic Short Hair - Black Meet Tina and Dianna, sisters who are basically tiny, fuzzy tornadoes of joy. These young black panthers are always on the move, chasing toys, chasing each other, and sometimes just running around for the fun of it. They’re full of energy, curiosity, and that delightful kitten mischief that makes everything feel a little brighter. Once she finally tires out, Tina is the first to curl up in your lap and melt into a puddle of purrs. She has a few more white hairs than her sister, which helps tell them apart when they’re not a blur of playful motion. Dianna is equally adventurous and just as sweet, always ready to pounce or play and then look at you like you're the best thing in the world. They're both still small, smaller than they look in photos, and would enjoy a home with other cats, gentle dogs, or kids who understand how to play kindly with kittens. If your home has room for a little chaos, a lot of laughter, and two affectionate shadows who just want to be where you are, Tina and Dianna would love to meet you!   Nixie - Female DOB 8/7/2024 Domestic Short Hair - Brown Tabby Nixie came up with her sister Trixie, but the travel up north really stressed Nixie and they needed to be separated for a bit where Nixie needed to settle in by herself. Since they got back together now, they seem to be quite bonded again, which is nice to see.  They are seen bathing one another and cuddling together now.  They would need to go home together. Nixie is a bit on the shy side initially and will take a little time to settle in, but once she does, she's a really sweet girl who loves attention and pets.  Her pictures don't show the pretty orange swirls within her fur.  Nixie has settled in more and more each day and is doing wonderful now.   Trixie is a sweet, soft-natured cat who’s all about comfort and calm. She may not be the first one to run up for attention, but once she feels safe, she’ll come over for gentle pets and stay close by—usually stretched out in a cozy spot where she can relax and keep an eye on things. She’s even prettier in person than in photos — look closely and you’ll notice the soft orange swirls running through her fur. The sisters would be happier with no other cats or dogs in their new home, but older respectful children would be fine.   Antonio - Male Neutered DOB 5/27/2022 Domestic Short Hair White with Tabby Tail - Antonio is a gentle sweetheart who’s been through a bit of a journey and is now hoping to find his forever family. He was adopted as a kitten but ended up being returned to us through no fault of his own due to home circumstances changing. Understandably, he’s a little shy at first and will need a bit of time and patience to adjust to a new environment—but once he feels safe, his soft personality begins to shine.  He has been spending some time in a foster home lately and seems to enjoy being around some calm female cats but doesn't care to be around male cats where they tend to be dominating over him. He loves a good head/chin scratch and will happily accept gentle pets, though he’s not too fond of being picked up. He enjoys playing with wand toys, especially a ribbon wand, but is also a very calm, laidback kitty.  He was recently diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome and is currently on daily medication and special dry food to help his body adjust.  He does love his wet food which doesn't need to be anything special.  Luckily most of his medication he will eat crushed up in a squeeze up paste treat, and otherwise, he is easy to give the liquid to. Antonio would be happiest in a quiet home where he can settle in at his own pace. One of his favorite things is lounging by a sunny window, watching the birds and soaking up the warmth—so if you’ve got a good perch, he’ll be in heaven. Antonio would do best with a chill female kitty friend and a quiet home where he can feel relaxed.  He would need a home with no kids and a dog-free home is a must.  If you’re looking for a quiet companion with a gentle soul and a love for sunbeams, Antonio might just be your perfect match.
