Terri is a beautiful and sweet lady. This gentle sweetie pie is about 11-pounds and is a 3-years-old domestic short-haired female cat who came to SFAS to find a new family. Here at the shelter, Terri has been an absolute delight being just the sweestest girl. Terri loves socializing and is very friendly to people she meets. Don`t miss this chance for this sweet girl. Motley is a 10-year-old calico kitty who loves to play with flying toys. She enjoys long days in the window sill, basking in the sun and bird/squirrel-watching. Motley is not a picky eater, but she does go crazy over little wet treats and a good tuna can dinner. Motley has lived in one home since being adopted at 6-weeks-old and has shared her home with her adult humans and one other kitty (long-haired orange tabby, Darma). She is a good judge of character and takes her time understanding those around her. Once comfortable, she can be affectionate and snuggly and the most loyal companion.

RAINBOW (female) and STASH (male) met in foster care, dated and solidified their relationship at CATOPIA (wedding date tba ;-). They need to spend their lives adopted together. Both are great in the house, a little shy until they know you. Both are SUPER SWEET and a little talkative! They spend all their time together. Stash is good with his hands and uses them for useful things and playtime ;-) Stash is a tuxedo and is aptly named after his white mustache ;-) Rainbow is all black (and who wants to be named as a shadow ?)…...so we gave the name Rainbow to exemplify her beautiful personality. Stash will initiate many deep snuggle times with you. (He prefers to do the initiating). He will start by reaching his paws up like a child does and wait for you to pick him up into your arms. If you're not a person who will appreciate this even after you're back to a 'normal' post-covid lifestyle, then please don't apply. Rainbow is very sweet and gentle. When she settles in and feels safe, her kitten-like behavior will start to show. She likes being petted and some cuddling, but you'll have to initiate it. Rainbow has developed a food allergy and we have begun experimenting with different foods at the veterinarian's guidance. The allergy is causing her hair to fall out in little patches. The food the vet wants her on is hydrogenated protein and grain free. There are several brands around $2 per can. We're looking into a possible homemade/ more tastier version as well. Because of the food allergy, we are listing her as special needs. Rainbow and Stash sleep together and like spending their time together. They are excellent with friendly cats and dogs. Both are from one of the reservations we work with - Stash was found with his littermates and mom (they were abandoned) and Rainbow was abandoned by a lake there. They met in foster care and the rest is history as they say, long-lasting love ;-) Their adoption fee includes their vaccinations, neuter/spay, deworming and microchips. Rainbow's birthday is 2017. Stash's birthday is 2016. We have specific ADOPTION and COVID rules listed below. If your application is approved (which 'could' take up to one week) then we will contact you to set up a Zoom chat or ph call to answer questions/clarify anything and set up a day/time to bring the pet to you. Since we can't come into the home due to Covid-19, we ask that you send us pics /video of your home/living area/current pets. We will discuss with you about meeting your other pets. At the meeting/adoption at your house (outside) please wear a mask (as will we), keep to a properly distanced social distance and have hand sanitizer. We will bring the pet to your door in a carrier, we can chat from a (masked) distance and you bring the cats in the cat carrier into your house and probably into a prepared guest room. We will wait in the car while you get the kitties set up and possibly start getting acquainted (some cats will engage right away others will need more quiet time to observe/get acclimated). If everything goes well, you'll bring the carrier back out and sign the adoption contract. We like to stay in touch. We adopt locally to Central Abq, Santa Fe, Los Alamos and Rio Rancho. No out of area adoptions inquiries please. No young children for our adoptions please. TAYLA and JEWLS are sisters from one of the reservations we work with. They are sweet and playful. Tayla is larger/longer and very affectionate. She will come to you and want you to hug and hold her and she'll pur :-) She'll climb into your arms. Jewls is smaller and more independent. She also will come to you for petting. They prefer to come to you rather than you go to them. They are quite entertaining when they get into a playful mood - Jewls usually starts and runs around, then Tayla joins in. They are comfortable with friendly dogs. They've had some male cats pick on them, but have done very well with female cats. They came into the rescue, literally, in a bucket. Tayla needed ear surgery when she came into the rescue due to a large tumor. The surgery went well and even scars are unnoticeable. They make take a little to acclimate to your quiet family, but once they do, they are so very affectionate. The sisters are spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. They were born July 2019. Given the name KITKAT but then foster mom said MOLLY WEASLEY would be a fit, this mamma cat is shy at first and then a super lap cuddler. She is mom to five kittens who were born in February this year. She's a youngster herself, abandoned by humans that didn't care for her and tossed her away when she became pregnant. A good Samaritan stepped in and cared for her during her pregnancy and births. Now we're finding caring forever homes for all. You may want to adopt her with one of her kittens, for instance, Albus Dumbledore! :-) Her adoption fee includes her spaying, vaccines, deworming and microchip. Pico is an incredible cat that I was lucky to adopt from the Humane Society about three months ago. He's approx. 8 months old, and he is loving, very smart, and has a lot of personality. He loves treats and enjoys walking outside on a harness as well, but he is an indoor cat. I absolutely love him and I'm devastated to rehome him, but I have developed severe allergies that I did not know I had due to not owning a cat before. Pico is a lovely cat and enjoys playing fetch, and is quite active but loves to cuddle and show affection. He's about five pounds and is fairly small for his age, and I believe he is done growing. I also have a dog and they are great friends so I assume Pico would do well with other dogs as well. I really love him and I do not want him to have to go through the shelter process again, and he would be a great cat for anyone due to how loving and intelligent he is. Pico will also come with some food, litter box, cat tree, and a ton of toys.
