Story
Slurms MacKenzie came to us as a stray, but thanks to a kind foster person, we now know so much more about this handsome young man! He likes to take things at his own pace when it comes to getting to know you, and he appreciates a very Zen household with plenty of hidey holes for him to relax in. Give him some time to settle in, entice him with treats, and you may get to see a rare zoomie or two from this fetching guy. He`s also got a keen sense of curiosity, so make sure that your trash bins are secure against his inquisitive nature. We also know that this quiet dude is FIV+, which means that his immune system is more susceptible to things that another cat would brush off, and will require biannual wellness checkups. His outdoor excursions are also at an end, but with enough gentle attention, tempting meals, and warm napping spots, we`re sure that he`ll be content with this change in his life. Does your home lack the mindful serenity that Slurms could bring into it? Come on over to the adoption center Wednesday-Sunday 12-4:30 (Thursday 12-6:30) and meet the dude himself. He`ll be waiting! You can also reach our adoptions team:by email: adoptions@spcaonline.comby phone (during open hours): 607-257-1822 x221

Story
Apple Dumpling is a big, beautiful girl with a whole lot of sweetness and just a touch of tortie sass. She was originally adopted from us in 2021 and has returned to start her new journey with a loving family. She`d prefer a home without younger kids. Teens would be ok for her as long as they understand and respect her boundaries. We don`t have any history of her with dogs or cats, but our adoptions team can provide all the information her new family may need to facilitate a smooth and thoughtful transition into their home. If you like your cats with just a little dash of spice, come meet Apple Dumpling Wednesday-Sunday 12-4:30 (Thursday 12-6:30).You can also reach our adoptions team:by email: adoptions@spcaonline.comby phone (during open hours): 607-257-1822 x221

Story
Well hello Dolly! This swell lookin` lady has come so far from the rough start to her life, and has never lost faith in our patient fosters who helped her to rediscover her inner glow. She`s shared living space with other cats and a dog with our foster families, but she`s definitely on the search for a calm, quiet home of her own to settle down into. She responds well to slow introductions, but she also enjoys a good lap snuggle with gentle head pets once she`s comfortable. She`s using her litterbox reliably, and is a *big* fan of pâté snacks. If you think Dolly might be a match for your family, stop by the adoption center Tuesday-Sunday 12-4:30 (Thursday 12-6:30).You can also reach our adoptions team:by email: adoptions@spcaonline.comby phone (during open hours): 607-257-1822 x221

Story
HOLLY IS CURRENTLY IN A FOSTER HOME AND AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTIONHolly is an approximately 3-month-old female kitten who is as sweet as can be and is looking for her forever home. She loves to play with toys—especially her beloved mouse—and proudly trots around with it in her mouth. When it’s time to rest, Holly enjoys snuggling under the covers where she can feel warm, safe, and cozy, and she’ll happily join you for a lazy couch day.Holly is a tender-hearted little girl who’s still learning to be brave. New sounds, especially the outside world and the dreaded vacuum monster, can make her a bit unsure. With gentle reassurance, time, and treats (she is very food-motivated!), she’s beginning to build positive associations with new experiences. She would thrive with a confident adult cat who can show her the ropes and help her feel secure as she grows.Sweet, shy, and full of potential—Holly is ready for someone patient and loving to help her blossom. We don`t do holds on kittens that are hanging out in the lobby and all adoptions are first come, first served! New groups of kittens are available for adoption every Thursday. Stop by our Adoption Center Wednesday–Sunday, 12–4:30 (Thursday 12–6:30) to meet your purr-fect match!
