Story
Gazpacho is an adorable, soft, and sensitive man with big eyes and a big heart. He has a fuzzy, grumpy face on the outside, but a gentle and compassionate personality on the inside. He may need to be shown some extra compassion and patience to begin with, but once trust is established he looks forward greatly to your companionship and will climb in your lap to receive affection. He loves head rubs and when you speak to him in a loving voice. He has shown a more reserved nature in shelter, but in the comfort of your warm home, is likely to blossom into his true self and display all of his charms and preferences once he has settled in. Story
Mystic is an adult, female, domestic short haired all-black cat.Mystique is a majestic and graceful black beauty who is graced with poise and a piercing gaze worth of her name. She carries herself like a queen of shadows, with the greatest self-respect, and can on occasion be a sensitive soul who requires respect and patience from her perspective worshipers. She is cautiously curious about treats, toys and playing, like a queen who wants to play but without losing her regal baring. Once she is assured you will only admire and adore her, she is pleased to play and bestow her affection upon you. She is particularly good at greeting you, leading you to your daily duties, and rewarding you with her love and approval. Mystique would do best in a quiet home, with other cats and quiet, respectful children. We are unsure currently how she would do with dogs. Leo is a male DSH tuxedo cat.Leo is a sweet, loving boy looking for a calm, patient fur-ever home. He is a loyal and affectionate companion for someone who is quiet and easy-going, and willing to let Leo come to them for pets and snuggles. He can be silly and fun-loving when he feels comfortable in his space, flopping around on his back and playing with toys. He is also very talkative, and will chirp when happily greeting his person. Leo would do well in a home with other cats. He would likely not do well in a home with children or dogs. He needs a low-energy home with people who are familiar with cats and can give him the space and support he needs to be comfortable enough to be his wonderful self!To apply for this pet on Adopets, click the Adopt Me button below their profile picture. Story
Thor is a male domestic short haired grey tabby. How are they with other cats? - GoodHow are they with dogs? - Likely if they are very cat friendlyHow are they with kids? - Okay, if they are respectful; 8 years old+ onlyThor is one of those super social cats who absolutely loves people and prefers to spend his time with his best human friend. He possesses a sweet, curious nature, and is currently our volunteer in-residence greeter in the Cat & Dog supervisor office at the shelter. Thor is a little on the chonky side, and will need some help with weight loss management. He also has some minor urinary issues due to hematuria - meaning he has bladder leaks when he's stressed or surprised. Because of this, he needs a calm, quiet home. While he does do well with other cats, is comfortable with cat-friendly dogs, and likes children, it would be better for him to be in a home with adult people only, to avoid stressing him out too much. Don't let this discourage you, though - Thor is one of the sweetest cats, and is very much looking forward to finding his fur-ever home!TO APPLY for this pet on Adopets, click the Adopt Me button below their profile picture. You cannot apply for this pet through PetFinder; please visit www.ucspca.org/how-to-adopt/available-cats/. Story
Olive is a female domestic shorthaired tortoiseshell cat.Olive is a playful, active cat. She loves to play and just about any toy will delight her. She makes the most adorable little trill sound when she's happy. She is just as happy to be on her own throughout the day as to have company, and will snuggle up when she's feeling in the mood for some company. She's also very active and loves to run around, jump from high places, explore behind the couch, and generally work out all her extra energy. Olive would be good in a home with other cats so long as they are comfortable with her being the dominant personality in the home. We do not know at this time how she would do with dogs or children. To apply for this pet on Adopets, click the Adopt Me button below their profile picture. Story
Frodo is a male domestic short haired brown tabby.Frodo is a shy and sensitive guy with an irresistibly cute face and a quirky personality all his own. Once he gets to know you, you'll discover a deeply affectionate and loyal companion hiding beneath that timid exterior. Frodo loves to explore new spaces at his own pace, often retreating to cozy nooks or under the couch when he needs some introvert time (we've all been there). When his social battery is fully charged, he will greet you with soft meows and gentle purrs to let you know he's happy you're here (and ready for dinner!). He's especially fond of chin, cheek, and ear scratches - just reach gently under his chin, and you'll feel him lean into your hand, purring in appreciation. Food is definitely the way to his heart, and treats are a wonderful way to earn his trust. Frodo would thrive in a calm, understanding home that gives him time to settle in and form a strong bond. Once he feels secure, his loving nature and quiet devotion shine through, making him a truly special companion. Frodo would do well in a home with other cats, and possibly with older, respectful children. We do not know at this time how he would do with a dog in the home. He does need to go a calm, low-energy home to be comfortable. To apply for this pet on Adopets, click the Adopt Me button below their profile picture.
