Story
Ben is an exceptionally bright and affectionate cat who spends most of his time indoors but enjoys the occasional outdoor adventure. He gets along well with other dogs and cats, and he’s known for his constant purring, love of snuggling, and enthusiasm for being part of whatever you’re doing. He’ll gladly curl up with you at night, too. Ben has gone through significant loss—his owner recently passed away, as did the dog he lived with for many years—so he will need a patient home that can give him time to adjust. His experience with children is unknown, as his former owner was a retiree without young family members. Ben would do best in a home where he can safely explore outside from time to time and where neighbors won’t mind seeing him perched on a shed or car. He is litter-box trained, neutered, and current on vaccines, including a one-year rabies shot he received in August.

Story
I am Drake. I am soft and independent but I will be near you always. I prefer floors and window sills to sit in when you are in the room but I also love your lap or the high back of the chair behind you when you’re relaxing. I like to be pet but not a ton. I am good for three to five minutes but then I just want to be by you and sleep or watch out the window. I meow at meal time to let you know I’m ready for food. My owner likes to say I sing for my supper. I like to run to the bowl excited to eat. I have sharp claws good for catching birds as I am an indoor / outdoor cat but I am missing a few teeth. The dentist got me during a check up after I was rescued but don’t worry, I eat just fine. I can live in a house with other cats but know that I’m curious and will stick my nose in their business ( and food) but when confronted, I’ll run away. I’m a bit of a baby that way. It would best though to be your one and only. I’ll keep you good company.

Story
This is Mya. Mya has been the softest, sweetest, most lovable cat I have ever owned. She is about 4 years old. She purrs when you pet her, loves to sit on your lap, and is also litter box trained and goes indoors and outdoors. Outside she rolls in the sun and will grab small mice and rodents. She is quiet and patient when she waits for food and is the perfect companion who only wants one pet. Unfortunately I have another dominant cat that attacks her and scares her and he is more difficult to re home. Mya needs a quieter loving owner who wants a low maintenance easy to love cat. She really is nearly perfect. I just cannot keep her here with my other cat who keeps attacking her. You are getting a gem of a feline here. She is pretty much perfect.

Story
Meet Hope! Hope is a beautiful black and white female with an estimated birth date of 12/30/2022. She’s feline leukemia/FIV negative, spayed, and is up to date on all vaccinations. At just under 8 lbs, she may be petite, but she has a heart full of love to share. Hope is a shy and reserved kitty who will need time and patience to adjust to a new home. She has formed an inseparable bond with kitty Suzanna and also loves snuggling with Lil, so we’re hoping she can be adopted with one or both of her best friends! Each morning, Hope eagerly greets us, but she’s still hesitant around new people. She clearly wants affection but takes time to trust. With gentle encouragement, she warms up and enjoys quiet companionship. Hope thrives in a calm, peaceful environment and does best with a gentle feline companion who helps her feel safe. Ideally, she would be adopted with Suzanna or Lil (or both!), as they provide her with comfort and confidence. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a sweet, shy kitty, Hope could be the perfect match! Submit an adoption application today and give Hope the forever home she deserves. https://www.catsanctuaryashland.org/adoption-application

Story
Meet April — A Gentle Heart in Search of Her Forever Home. April’s story is one of quiet transformation. When she first arrived at our sanctuary as a tiny springtime kitten, she was shy and uncertain, unsure of the world around her. But with time, love, and patience, this beautiful girl has blossomed into a sweet, tender companion — now she just needs the right home to complete her journey. April is a soft soul who thrives in the company of other calm, gentle cats. She absolutely adores snuggling with her feline friends, often curling up in a cozy pile for warmth, comfort, and companionship. She feels safest and happiest when she has a calm kitty companion by her side — and for that reason, we would love to see her adopted with a trusted shelter friend she already knows and loves. With people, April is shy at first — but once she trusts you, she enjoys gentle pets, quiet snuggles, and will reward your patience with soft purrs and affection. She isn’t a bold, outgoing cat, but she is incredibly loving in her own peaceful, steady way. Watching her bloom into a confident companion will be one of the most rewarding experiences for her future family. April’s Info: Born approximately 3/1/2024; Sleek black coat; Spayed; Up to date on vaccinations; Tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV; Flea-treated, dewormed, and healthy. April will do best in a calm home where she can continue to blossom at her own pace, surrounded by understanding people and maybe even a snuggly feline friend. She’s waited so patiently for someone to see the beauty and love she has to offer. Could that someone be you? Apply to meet April today: https://www.catsanctuaryashland.org/adoption-application
