Sleek's mom came to us already pregnant as a stray a little over five years ago. We caught her, helped her raise her young, and fixed her. All but Sleek got adopted. We decided to keep him and add him to the family, however it's been quite the roller coaster. He prefers a calm quiet household with no other cats or children although he does seem to like our dog. He is on a special urinary tract diet, but otherwise is a healthy and very loving cat. We fought to keep him, but it's just not feasible with the other cats and children about. He's constantly unhappy and stressed and we would love nothing more than to give him a home to thrive in.

Story

Oreo is very shy at first but you just need to be patient and reassuring that she can trust you. She does not like to be alone, so a home with another cat would be good. She will play with the other cats here and there but her favorite thing is being where ever her foster mom is and getting all the pets her heart desires. She is so soft and an excellent biscuit maker. She still gets scared easily and likes to have places to hide as she is still learning she is safe. If she goes to a home without another cat, I think she would be ok but may take her a little longer to warm up. She prefers dogs that just coexist as the ones that try to play with her scare her.

Miss Kitty, is a stray cat that was found and brought into our dog rescue. She is very sweet, comes when you call here kitty, kitty, hence her name. She will allow you to pick her up and loves to be scratched. She is litter box trained. She is up to date on her shots. She is positive for FIV. The vet said she does not need any medication. Most cats with FIV are actually very healthy; they simply have a virus that is very slowly affecting their immune systems, but which can take several years before it has any noticeable effect at all. Cats with FIV can live good lives and die naturally from all the usual causes of death that any cat may suffer, including old age.

We got Senshi about 1 1/2 years ago at the vet our other cat goes to. They stated someone dropped him off to be put down but after running tests on him nothing was wrong and they couldn’t get ahold of the previous owners to let them know they would not put him down. We decided to adopt him because we were wanting another cat and we all know adult cats aren’t the first to be adopted. He is great with our other cat who is 4. He is great with adults. However he has been very temperamental with our child who is 4. She is just scared of him and won’t go near him and he shows signs of aggression towards her. He has never shown signs of aggression to my husband, me or the other cat or other adults who have been over at our house. We’ve tried several ways to get him adjusted to her but nothing has worked. At this point it just doesn’t feel right or safe to keep him at the house with the child. He is a sweet loving boy, who loves pets and snuggling in bed at night.
