Story
Hello Patrick! Patrick came from a farm that had too many cats. Muskoka Animal Rescue was trapping, neutering, and returning some of these cats through our Feral Cat Program, to help keep the population from exploding. Well, Patrick was somewhat friendly, so we gave him the chance to choose the indoor life, and that he did. He has told us he never wants to go back! Patrick is house trained, microchipped, vaccinated, and neutered. He is approximately 3 years old and a DSH brown marble tabby. While Patrick may have grown up in a barn, he sure has settled into indoor living; he LOVES his comfy indoor bed, the fancy food, the bedtime treats, and all the exciting toys. He is still somewhat skittish, leery of strangers, and sudden movements, but once he gets to know you, he is better. He enjoys being pet and will purr instantly. Patrick is very social with his foster friends, he cuddles, plays, and grooms them. He is especially fond of Jenny. If you are looking for a friend for your cat, give Patrick a chance, with time he will become your best friend too. If you are interested in giving this handsome man a chance, please visit our website at www.muskokaanimalrescue.com and complete an application form. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! Story
Handsome Old Man Walter Walter is a 12 year old grey DSH tabby. He is house trained, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, neutered, and has recently had a full dental cleaning. Walter was surrendered to Muskoka Animal Rescue due to aggression towards a dog and a cat he was living with. Because of this, Walter requires a home where he will be the only pet. He requires urinary care food (he is currently eating Royal Canin Urinary SO Calm) due to previous urinary health issues. Walter has lived his entire life exclusively indoors, and he loves all the comforts of a cozy home. Walter’s current foster let us know that the first two days he spent hiding under their bed, but since then he has been super social and lounging about the home. They have let us know he is an extremely chatty boy, who still loves to get playful. He will chase after long strings and act like a kitten. At night he sleeps with them and loves to cuddle and be pet. He flops over and receives all the love. Walter is an older gentleman who wants to love you all to himself. If you think you can give Walter the home environment that he needs please visit our website at www.muskokaanimalrescue.com and complete an application form. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! Story
Puma This stunning girl is approximately 2 years old. She was one of our mama cats, and thankfully all of her kittens have been adopted, so now it is her turn to find her forever home. She is house trained, up to date on her vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Puma is an extremely affectionate cat, she loves to sit on her people and get all the loving. She likes to be pet and will nuzzle right into all the scratches. She will happily show all of her affection by “kneading bread” on your chest, lap, or blanket beside you. Puma loves to be apart of the action and will lay on the couch while you watch tv, or be beside you as you fold laundry - she’s very supportive in all the chores. We don’t know how she will be with other animals, but she has been around a 2.5 year old human child, and has been described as very patient. She was great. Like a typical cat she will get the kitty zoomies, and playfully sprint around the house. She loves to be cheered on! Puma doesn’t wake her people up at night, but once the alarm goes off in the morning she is up and ready to greet you! Everyone who has met her has said the same thing: “Anyone would be very lucky to have her" If you are interested in Puma, please visit our website at www.muskokaanimalrescue.com and complete an application form. Story
Annie We don’t know much about the hard knock life that this little orphan came from, but you can bet your bottom dollar that her sun will come out tomorrow! Annie is about 8 months old, black and white DSH. She is house trained, up to date on her vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. She is extremely inquisitive and loves to check out every room from high to low - every cupboard, closet, and shelf. Annie loves to cuddle, especially at bed time. She’s not a big player, she prefers to explore and perch atop a high cat tree observing her surroundings. Annie would like to be the only orphan to steal your heart, so she would do best in a home on her own (she is not a big fan of other cats or dogs). She is vocal and loves to sing for attention; “The sun’ll come out tomorrow, tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow there’ll be sun” Are you interested in being this little orphan’s sunshine? Please visit our website at www.muskokaanimalrescue.com and complete an application form. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! YOUR SUPPORT SAVES LIVES! Story
Introducing Mia Mia is a female, DSH Dilute Tortoiseshell, born March 15, 2021. She is house trained, up to date on her vaccinations, microchipped, spayed, and ready to find her forever home! Mia is a very gentle and affectionate cat who loves relaxing and basking in the sunshine. She is laid back but will bring you a shoelace when she wants to play. She is always curious with visitors, but will generally find a place to hide and sleep when there are children or other pets around. She is a great listener, is very smart and extremely well-behaved. She is very attuned to your feelings, and will cuddle up with you when you may be feeling blue. She does love to have all the attention to herself, and she doesn’t like sharing anything with our other cat, but she is NOT mean or aggressive towards her, we just think that she would love it more if she was an only pet! If you are interested in this affectionate sweetheart, please visit our website at www.muskokaanimalrescue.com and complete an application form. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! YOUR SUPPORT SAVES LIVES!
