Meet Bingo! Bingo was brought to the shelter in July 2020. He was part of a humane surrender along with many other cats, no fault of their own of course. Although Bingo was being housed inside, he was in no way domesticated. So, when he was brought to ICHS he was not a big fan of the change and he was definitely not a big fan of our shelter staff.Eventually, Bingo was moved to our colony room where he was able to roam free with other cats. Bingo preferred this over being in a cage as he did not have to have that close human interaction daily anymore. Now he had space to run away and towers to climb up on if he was feeling uncomfortable. And while Bingo ran away and hissed for a couple of years something in him was changing with every positive human interaction. Magic was happening!Fast forward to last year, and we have had an amazing group of volunteers who specifically work with socializing our colony cats, including Bingo. A few times a week different volunteers come in and play with our wand toys and Bingo realized when he saw his friends playing that it would be a lot of fun for him as well! It is his absolute favorite activity and he may even like playing with them more than any other cat in our colony room. Being able to play with our volunteers while having his boundaries respected and getting to see his best cat friends have positive interactions with people has really helped Bingo come around.While Bingo still is not fully comfortable with people, he has made huge milestones. A cat who could never be touched and who no one could get near is now a cat who loves to play with the wand toy, sniffs people's hands, lets you hang out around him, poses for close-up pictures, and...even allows you to very slowly brush him! Yes, that's right, just recently Bingo was brushed for the first time by one of our volunteers! Again, if you have met Bingo, you would know what an accomplishment this is. We are so proud of how far he has come and how he continues to do better every day. We are also so thankful for the work that our volunteers and shelter staff have put into socializing him!While he may not be your lap cat at first, with time as he learns to trust you Bingo is bound to be your most loyal best friend. A cat with a history like him bonds so deeply to those he can trust. We would assume, that with A LOT of patience, Bingo will come around to the idea of having a human best friend more so than he already has. Or perhaps you are a person who just isn't home a lot and you feel badly for leaving your cat alone for long periods of time. Bingo is without a doubt your guy! There is not a single cat that doesn't love Bingo. Every scared and anxious cat can find comfort in this big fella. He even has an immense amount of patience for kittens and helps teach them the ropes of cat life. Meet Spaghetti! Spaghetti was brought to ICHS along with many other cats, no fault of their own of course. This silly boy was the life of our colony room before coming to Petco. Spaghetti loves to run, play with wand toys, and get crazy off the catnip. Spaghetti does so well with other cats that he would probably prefer a home with another cat if possible! He seemed to love playing and snuggling with every cat in our colony room. Spaghetti can be a little timid when meeting new people, but it doesn't take long for him to warm up. Meet Pinto! Pinto was brought to ICHS as a stray. He is still learning to trust the shelter staff and volunteers, but he is making progress every day. While he may hide and even hiss, Pinto is a very sweet and gentle cat. He is just a scared boy! Pinto loves head pets and receiving treats from our staff. He even enjoys playing with wand toys! When our staff isn't hanging out and socializing with Pinto, you can find this cute boy curled up taking long cat naps in his box. Meet Coraline! Coraline was brought to ICHS as a stray. She was pregnant at the time of her intake and had her babies just a few weeks later. Coraline had four adorable babies who have since been adopted! Now, she is looking to find that fur-ever home of her own! Coraline is a very lazy gal. Her favorite activities include lounging around in her bed and taking long cat naps. While Coraline was not a big fan of the shelter staff at first, she has made a lot of progress so far. Meet Spork! Spork was brought into ICHS as a stray. Spork is a very timid guy. He is still learning how to trust humans every day. Spork will require someone with a lot of patience. Meet Denver! Denver was brought to ICHS as a stray along with a few other cats. It has taken Denver a while to adjust to his new life here at the shelter, but he comes out of his shell more and more every day! We have found the key to Denver's heart to be Temptation treats and chin scratches! You can typically find this guy in a hidey hole in our colony room. But now it's not too shocking to see him out and about getting love from our shelter staff! Theodore was brought to us along with his littermate, Elenore, when their mother was tragically struck by a vehicle along the road. They were approximately 6-8 weeks old. He is now a gorgeous young man with a lot of energy. He is a bit timid at first but warms up quickly. He is UTD on shots, wormed, and neutered. He is ready for his furever home..... could it be yours?

Elenore came to us along with her littermate, Theodore, after their mother was struck by a vehicle along the road. They were approximately 6-8 weeks old. Elenore is a stunning all gray sweetheart who loves to be cuddled and will purr all day long. She is very curious and loves to play in a tunnel and with her play mice. Meet Simon! This guy is a very special little man. He came to us at approximately 3 weeks old when a good Samaritan found him in the middle of a busy road. We bottle fed him and he is the sweetest little boy ever! If you are looking for a cuddle bug and a new best friend, Simon is the one you have been searching for. He is UTD on shots, dewormed, and neutered.

Stella was found as a stray so we dont have much of a background story. She lives in our cat room running loose with the other cats. She is not a cat who likes to socialize with people. She has come around since being with us. Would not do well in a home with children or dogs.

Bobbi and Greymour came to us when their owner went into a nursing home. She loved her kitties very much and hoped they find a home together. They have been patiently waiting together since April 8, 2021. They can always be found sleeping or sitting together, or grooming each other.
