Story
Meet our boy Rollie! He was admitted to the shelter in July of 2020 as an owner surrender, no fault of his own of course. Rollie lived in fear of humans for quite a bit of his life, but since making the move to the colony room has decided he'd actually like to find an adopter of his own! Rollie loves greeting new and old visitors of the Cat Colony as soon as they come through the door. When new cats are moved into the room, he's always the first to greet them and cuddle them so that they feel less anxious. Rollie was moved into the Cat Colony with his girlfriend Sneezy! This couple met one another in our Cat Adopt room and have been inseparable since. He would love to find a home where she could come along, as they help calm one another's nerves. This would help both of them make an easy transition to a new home as well! So, if you're looking for a big sweet boy and his great gal. Consider adopting the bonded pair today! Story
Meet Sneezy! She was admitted to the shelter in July of 2020 as an owner surrender. Sneezy was rescued from a bad situation. It took Sneezy quite some time to be trusting of humans, but she's doing amazing since her move to our Cat Colony room. She will only need a little bit of patience to warm up to you now! She is now a silly cat that loves to play with toys and our volunteers. When she's not playing she's cuddling up with her cat resident friends or the shelter staff! Sneezy would love to go to a home with her boyfriend Rollie! Sneezy used to have a roommate, but when she found Rollie it was love at first sight and had to immediately move in with him. She's been giving him kisses and cuddling him since! Don't get it twisted though, she knows how to put a man in his place as well. Going to a home with her boy Rollie would help Sneezy adjust to a new environment. He knows how to calm her down. If you're looking for a silly and sweet gal who's part of a bonded pair, Sneezy is for you. Primary Color: Calico Secondary Color: Patch Tabby Age: 4yrs 8mths 0wks

Story
Meet Bingo! Bingo was brought to the shelter in July 2020. He was part of a humane surrender along with many other cats, no fault of their own of course. Although Bingo was being housed inside, he was in no way domesticated. So, when he was brought to ICHS he was not a big fan of the change and he was definitely not a big fan of our shelter staff.Eventually, Bingo was moved to our colony room where he was able to roam free with other cats. Bingo preferred this over being in a cage as he did not have to have that close human interaction daily anymore. Now he had space to run away and towers to climb up on if he was feeling uncomfortable. And while Bingo ran away and hissed for a couple of years something in him was changing with every positive human interaction. Magic was happening!Fast forward to last year, and we have had an amazing group of volunteers who specifically work with socializing our colony cats, including Bingo. A few times a week different volunteers come in and play with our wand toys and Bingo realized when he saw his friends playing that it would be a lot of fun for him as well! It is his absolute favorite activity and he may even like playing with them more than any other cat in our colony room. Being able to play with our volunteers while having his boundaries respected and getting to see his best cat friends have positive interactions with people has really helped Bingo come around. While Bingo still is not fully comfortable with people, he has made huge milestones. A cat who could never be touched and who no one could get near is now a cat who loves to play with the wand toy, sniffs people's hands, lets you hang out around him, poses for close-up pictures, and...even allows you to very slowly brush him! Yes, that's right, just recently Bingo was brushed for the first time by one of our volunteers! Again, if you have met Bingo, you would know what an accomplishment this is. We are so proud of how far he has come and how he continues to do better every day. We are also so thankful for the work that our volunteers and shelter staff have put into socializing him! While he may not be your lap cat at first, with time as he learns to trust you Bingo is bound to be your most loyal best friend. A cat with a history like him bonds so deeply to those he can trust. We would assume, that with A LOT of patience, Bingo will come around to the idea of having a human best friend more so than he already has. Or perhaps you are a person who just isn't home a lot and you feel badly for leaving your cat alone for long periods of time. Bingo is without a doubt your guy! There is not a single cat that doesn't love Bingo. Every scared and anxious cat can find comfort in this big fella. He even has an immense amount of patience for kittens and helps teach them the ropes of cat life. So, if you're not looking for a best friend for yourself or a best friend for your furry friend there could not be a better choice than our boy Bingo! Meet Spaghetti! Spaghetti was brought to ICHS along with many other cats, no fault of their own of course. This silly boy was the life of our colony room before coming to Petco. Spaghetti loves to run, play with wand toys, and get crazy off the catnip. Spaghetti does so well with other cats that he would probably prefer a home with another cat if possible! He seemed to love playing and snuggling with every cat in our colony room. Spaghetti can be a little timid when meeting new people, but it doesn't take long for him to warm up. So, if you're looking for an entertaining and friendly little cat consider putting in an adoption application for Spaghetti today!
