Story
My name is Mary Elizabeth. Yes, I do have a regal demeanor to match my regal name. I am quiet, sweet and calm. My photos show you my beautiful eyes and soulful attitude. I have a soft purr which makes it hard for a veterinarian to check my heart. I tolerate other cats but do prefer to watch their antics from the sidelines. My favorite toy a small soft ball. I make chirping noises when I play with it but most of the time I just stalk it. I like to be high on a cat tree or on a comfortable high chair. I enjoy looking out the window and being stroked slowly on the top of my head. Gentle head massages are purrrfect for me. I tolerate being picked up but am not a lap kitty. I look forward to seeing my people and being with them. I greet them at the door when it is feeding time :-) I am not a high maintenance kitty but I am a little quirky. I had a litter of kittens at a very young age. I was a very good mom and auntie. I have a weepy eye. It has been treated with drops and tear duct flushing. My foster puts ointment in them everyday and that seems to have made difference. I am spayed, up to date on vaccinations, deflead and dewormed. I am looking for a quiet household with a patient cat person. We can enjoy our quiet and calm space together as we live in comfortable harmony. If you are looking for a calm companion and are ready for a commitment, the first step is to complete the Humane Association of the Lowcountry (HAL) Adoption Application located on the HAL website. Story
Katla is my purrrrrfect and sweet name. I have Moxy! Although I share the house with 3 grown man-cats, two senior dogs, and 1 slightly snooty young lady-cat, I am not intimidated. I am very comfortable with my sister Mercy and my other furry friends in our foster home. I strut and do my thing. It’s never occurred to me that the other cats don’t want me to be part of their tribe. I walk right up to them and convince them to play with me before they realize it wasn’t their idea. Guess I am a very smart and confident kitty. I know how to work the group. I love wand toys. Watch me jump into the air chasing that flying wand. One of my best qualities is my amazing purr. My trills make every one in the house smile. Some of my hobbies include snuggling in bed with my foster family, bird watching in the morning and evening and trying to sneak people food. I love my brother Egan and sister Mercy. I show my twin sibling Mercy kitty kindness and love throughout each and everyday with her. Lots of head licks and playing together all day long. Heavy napping and cuddling, too. We are a bonded pair and cannot ever be separated because we would both be very very sad. Please understand how we need to be adopted together. You will have double the kitty fun when you adopt us two little girls. Me and my pretty twin sister Mercy have an extra special verbal bond, too. To a trained kitty ear, you can hear us talk to each other in our own language of trills and chatters. We are sweet, cute and active little girls who like to kitty giggle and kitty laugh together. Would you like to be loved by me and my twin sister Mercy?? Now is the purrrfect time for you to add double happiness and fun into your life. If you are looking for new companions and ready for a lifetime commitment, the first step is to complete the Humane Association of the Lowcountry (HAL) Adoption Application located on the HAL website. Story
Sprout here !!! I am so looking for a nice and quiet household and a human(s) that I can spoil with affection. Loving my foster and her friends is a full contact sport for me - body slams and head butts in addition to rubbing against you someday soon, too. I am shy until I know I can trust you. Then you have my loyalty and love furever. Food is a big positive motivator for me. I have a really good appetite. I know when it is time to eat even if you don’t :-) I like cozy small places (boxes, closets). These makes me feel safe and secure. Yes, as you can tell I am a very typical kitten in regards of where I like to nest. Quick movements and loud noises startle me. I make my foster mom laugh every day. These pictures are from our bedtime snuggles. I enjoy watching beta fish, window movies and my favorite toy is a toy with small bells on or in them. I am told that I am cute and so beautiful with a very amazingly soft coat. Oh and I don't mind cat-friendly dogs and cats. I love laying next to my foster mom's sweet doggy...we are besties !!! Story
Smidge is a 2 year old rescue cat. She grew up with Leo so I would like to keep the together. She is declawed and spayed. Her vaccines are current, scheduled to be done in October 2023. I can give you the Veterinary information to continue there if you like. Major life events occured in 2022. I had a stroke in February. My husband was deathly ill in March, died in a car accident in August. I can't take good care of the girls much longer. I am moving in June 2023 from an apartment to a RV (full time). Please help Smidge and Leo. It kills me to let them go but it is the right thing to do for them.

Story
Deanna was found as a stray and is just 1.5 years old. She was shy when she first got to the shelter, but she has come a long way. She loves to sing, get belly rubs, sunbathe, hang out with her kitty (and human) friends, and of course, play with toys!June 2, 2023, 3:49 pm
