Story
Meet Mama Marcie 🌼Marcie is a quiet, gentle soul who prefers to observe from a safe distance at first. She can be shy around strangers and new environments, often choosing a cozy hiding spot until she feels secure. But give her time, patience, and kindness, and her true personality begins to shine.Once Marcie feels comfortable, she blossoms into a moderately playful, affectionate girl who enjoys cuddles and calm companionship. She’s the kind of dog who forms deep bonds — the kind that grow stronger every day.Mama Marcie is looking for a peaceful, patient home that will let her move at her own pace and show her that she’s finally safe. In return, she’ll give quiet love, trust, and a heart full of gratitude. 💛Could you be the one to give her that chance? To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.https://longwayhome.org/apply ❤ Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. As long as they need rescue, that's what is most important to us.

Meet Myni!Myni is a sweet, gentle girl who may be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she turns into the ultimate lap napper. She loves curling up in your lap and soaking up the quiet comfort of being close to her person.Myni has a very soft, polite personality and is a gentle player. She enjoys playtime, but she’s not the type to fight for the spotlight—if another cat is around, she’ll usually step back and let them take over. Because of this, Myni would do best either as the only cat in the home or with a very calm, easygoing feline friend who won’t overwhelm her.One of Myni’s cutest quirks is that she loves splashing and playing in her water bowl, so her family will need to keep an eye on it and make sure it stays filled.Myni is very submissive and does not do well with a pushy or “bully” type cat. She’s looking for a peaceful home where she can feel safe, relaxed, and loved at her own pace. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who just needs a little time to settle in, Myni could be the perfect match. To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.https://longwayhome.org/apply ❤ Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. Story
I'm young, sweet, and rather goofy. I have this funny habit of slapping other cats on their rear ends - it's all in good fun, I promise! I absolutely love being held; it makes me feel so safe & loved. Now, I must confess, I'm not the best patient at the vet. I can be a bit of a handful, but hey, no one's perfect, right? If you're looking for a cat with a unique personality, that's me! I'm full of love & surprises – I make every day interesting. Adopt me and let's make memories together! Billie tested negative for FeLV and FIV, is neutered, microchipped for identification, and vaccinated for rabies and FVRCP. He seems healthy but his urine is slightly more dilute than usual and he has a slight elevation in one liver value so monitoring by annual bloodwork and urinalysis is recommended. Email BCSSpayDay@gmail.com for an adoption application and to discuss if he is a good fit for your home. Once approved, we can meet you to complete the adoption.

Story
Forged from an untamed spirit, I used to be on night patrol, always on the lookout, keeping things safe. Bravery? Check. Loyalty? You betcha. My keen eyes ensure all is well (or I’ll sound the alarm). Now, I seek a new area indoors to protect – a cozy home where I can provide love, security, and companionship. If you’re looking for a courageous friend by your side, I’m your cat. Let’s start our adventures together! Remi tested negative for FeLV and FIV, is spayed, microchipped for identification, and vaccinated for rabies and FVRCP. Email BCSSpayDay@gmail.com for an adoption application and to discuss if she is a good fit for your home. You can meet her at our adoption events from 2:30-5 pm most Saturdays at the College Station PetSmart on University (back by the cat litter).

Story
Martini was found as a stray. She is young and very friendly. Martini is unlike other Tortishells, and loves to be with people. She has been known to gently climb up peoples legs, or bounce between shoulders. She is a very playful, lovable cuddle bug. She is not yet ready for adoption as she is recovering from her spay surgery.
