This is Misty May. She is a sweet, shy 8 year old black beauty. Her owner has passed away, leaving Misty without a permanent home. Her foster family has done a wonderful job and Misty is starting to adjust to her new setting. Although she lived with another cat in her first home, we think she would do best as an only cat. She does not mind having a dog in her new family and she loves the grandkids that occasionally visit. Martha’s kitten was adopted Monday and although she was a little fretful at first, her own personality has bloomed in the last couple of days. She is very affectionate and playful (she’s not much more than a kitten herself at approximately a year old). When she first sees me she finds her favorite mouse toy and will bring it over to me. Martha is spayed, up to date on immunizations and microchiped. She also has an amazing purr. Gourd came to CVHS when he wasn’t getting along with the other cats in the home. Since being here he has done well with his feline roommate with a similar personality. He is a friendly boy who loves attention. In his prior home he enjoyed being an indoor/outdoor cat and would prefer that lifestyle in the future. Previously he has lived with canines and did not do well with them, so would prefer a canine free home in his next life. He has experience living with children, so he may do just fine with older children. Due to Gourd’s size, our vet has recommended a weight management plan. He will need to go to a home that will help him with a healthy diet and to cheer him on during his weight loss journey.
