Story
Hi, I'm Woodsie, a petite 3-year-old "feral to family" girl! I was found outside with my kittens, and even though I was feral, the lady who fostered us couldn't bear to send me back out, because there was no caregiver for me outside. So, she kept me with her, and over time, I blossomed into a very friendly, happy little girl! I get along great with other cats, as long as they are kind to me and don't bully me. I will not do well in a home with cats who are very dominant or aggressive toward me. With friendly kitties, I make friends quickly and get very attached and can often be found walking around "holding tails" and trading head boops with some of my closest feline friends. I have lived in a home with a dog, but as far as I know I haven't been around kids. I think I'd be okay with kids as long as they're calm and gentle with me, and respect my boundaries. I like all food, wet and dry, and I'm a big fan of Churu (who isn't right???) So far, I haven't shown a lot of interest in toys, but maybe we can check out some different toys together and find something that interests me! My favorite thing to do is lounge by a window; I really like fluffy cat beds, as well as cat trees to stretch out on for a long nap. I'm a very affectionate girl and will happily approach for pets (and treats!) I'm not sure yet if I'm a big fan of being picked up and held. One of my cutest attributes is my adorable little overbite! It makes me look sweetly goofy and it just matches my happy, laid-back nature. I'm really looking forward to finding a forever family to love for the rest of my life. Will you come meet me? Who knows, we may end up besties! Please see our rescue information for our adoption fees or email us at billythekiddenrescue@gmail.com. ‼️Help control the pet population - have your pets spayed or neutered! 💯

Story
Bro Bro & Sister: This adorable brother-sister pair has already been through a lot together and are truly inseparable. Bro Bro is a handsome solid gray boy with a heart (and purr!) as big as his appetite. Sister is a beautiful gray tabby who’s a little more cautious at first, but once she feels safe, her gentle affection and spunky personality shine through. When these two were rescued, Bro Bro was healing from a wound on his back. His devoted sister refused to leave his side and would scream for him until they were reunited — proof that their bond is unbreakable. They love to zoom around, climb everything in sight, and then curl up together for cozy naps. When it’s time to eat, their personalities really come out: Bro Bro is a total foodie who tries to eat from both bowls, so mealtime needs a bit of management to make sure Sister gets her share! Bro Bro is a lot more adventurous and easy going. Sister is shy and reserved, but has a mind of her own. If you are holding her & she wants to be doing something else, she will let you know. Both kittens adore lap time — especially with a soft blanket. Bro Bro will knead and suckle happily while purring loud enough to fill the room. Sister may take a little longer to trust, often hissing out of nervousness (and sometimes even at Bro Bro by mistake!), but she’s all talk. Once she warms up, she becomes a loving little companion with the sweetest, quiet purr. She will pick her human over food any day! Bro Bro and Sister are looking for a forever home together — one filled with patience, playtime, and plenty of cozy blanket snuggles. They’ll reward their people with endless love, laughter, and double the purrs. 💕

Story
Meet Eudora! This gorgeous purr box is finally ready for a home! Coming from a background of surviving outside for over a year, having a litter of kittens that was hard on her and them, Miss Eudora has come through and taken to house cat life beautifully! This princess is shy but chatty and will talk to you quite a bit if she likes you and has warmed up to you! She absolutely LOVES scratches and rubs and can tolerate being picked up for a bit before signaling she's ready to get down. She recently started getting comfortable approaching people on furniture for pets, so she may yet become a lap queen! But never forget, she's proper royalty that loves being pampered. Eudora greets all her favorite subjects by rubbing on legs and talking to you and purring so loud it'll be the only thing you can hear. She also makes sure her subjects are safe during all dangerous activities such as using the bathroom or opening sharp cans of food. But a princess can't be all work and no play and Eudora has been quite fond of playing with the other cats and kittens. She also loves a good box with some crinkly paper and little mice and she enjoys good catnip from time to time for a spot of relaxation. She’s still really nervous around dogs although we suspect if they are small more calm dog she will do better than with a big one. She's still getting used to playing and she’s bound to open up more for the right family! This girl will need some adjustment time but has been taking meds well when she needs to, and she has never lashed out even when she's scared. She's a hider and prefers a quiet space to retreat to. She's also food motivated! She loves it all! She prefers to take treats from a bowl instead of the package or a hand. Again, she's a proper lady! If you love and treat her right, she’ll be your little greeter when you come home from work. (Note for going to the vet: because she’s timid, she will need to be approached more slowly and deliberately or may have a fear response - take your time and she’ll be an absolute angel!) MEET LEWIS (aka BIG LOU) Big Lou is a 5-year-old, neutered cat who is — and we cannot stress this enough — an ABSOLUTE UNIT. He is large. He is in charge. He moves with purpose and the confidence of someone who knows the wet food budget revolves around him. Lou is curious, adventurous, and fully committed to exploring every inch of his domain. Cabinets? Investigated. Countertops? Patrolled. Things you thought were out of reach? Incorrect. Big Lou will find them. Despite his impressive size, Big Lou has a very specific hobby: napping in tiny little huts clearly meant for much smaller beings. He will cram himself in, achieve maximum comfort, and nap like a king. Physics are optional. He is also the proud owner and sole proprietor of BIG LOU’S BISCUIT SALOON An elite, feline owned establishment where this unit works double shifts. Every biscuit is made by the owner himself and includes complimentary cuddles. When Big Lou’s off the clock he likes to sit back and enjoy a can of fancy feast gravy lovers wet food (chicken or beef) or Purina One Tender Select Blend dry food. Big Lou is also very vocal and has no problem using his voice to communicate his needs. Hungry? You’ll know. Wants attention? You’ll definitely know. Has a thought? He’s sharing it. Does he get along with other cats? Yes. Yes he does. He would do great with a feline friend or as the sole King of the establishment. Despite his “absolute unit” status, Big Lou is a lovable goof with a heart as big as his frame. He enjoys supervising daily life, judging your decisions silently, and reminding you ✨loudly ✨when it’s time for wet food (and also when it’s almost time for wet food). At 5 years old, neutered, seasoned, and snack-motivated, Big Lou is out of his kitten era and deep into his “respected neighborhood legend” phase. If you’re looking for: ✔️ A curious explorer ✔️ A large cat with even larger personality ✔️ The proud proprietor of Big Lou’s Biscuit Saloon, professional tiny-hut napper, and full-time communicator Then congratulations. You’ve been chosen. Adopt Big Lou. Respect the Saloon. Bring wet food.

🌙 Noche & Liza – The Sweet, Shy Siblings Hi, we’re Noche and Liza, a bonded brother and sister duo looking for a quiet, loving home to call our own. We’re gentle, easygoing cats who prefer calm spaces where we can relax, nap, and enjoy the good life. At first, we can be a little shy in new environments, but with a bit of patience (and some Churus, of course!), we come around quickly. Once we feel safe, we love gentle pets, soft voices, and cozy spots to snuggle up together. Noche is especially cuddly and enjoys being held close, while Liza shows her affection in sweet, subtle ways that will melt your heart. We’re not too interested in toys these days — we’d rather spend our time lounging near our humans and each other. If you’re looking for two calm, affectionate companions who will fill your home with quiet love and companionship, Noche and Liza might just be your perfect pair. 💕

Meet Bruce and Benny. Bruce and Benny are a dynamic duo of Bengal cats that are the best of friends. Because they love each other so much, they must be adopted together. Both boys love to play with each other and be in each others company so much so that Bruce will cry out if he doesn`t know where Benny is. Bruce and Benny have a decent amount of energy for their age therefore we think they would do well in a home where it is just the two of them. Both boys do not get along with dogs and they would do best with children 10+ years old. They both love catnip toys and will even roll around on the floor for sprinkled dry catnip. They are affectionate with people and can be lap cats at times. They love to be pet all over. Benny and Bruce love cat trees and being able to climb all over. Two things to note, Bruce is blind and had a dental procedure while in our care so there is an added cost to his adoption fee. Thankfully he does have some donations to help with the cost. Both boys do well on a fish based diet, poultry seems to irritate Bruce`s skin. If you are looking for two stunning, easy going, and vocal cats, then stop by the shelter today to say hello to Bruce and Benny.
