Please email megshrum@gmail.com with questions.  The Adoption Process If you are ready to meet this feline please fill out an online adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your internet browser: https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/10664/generic Once your application is submitted, we will contact the vet reference provided. If you do not yet have a vet, please provide three personal references – these could be family and friends who can attest to your pet parenting skills. A volunteer will schedule a phone interview with you. The interview and application help our fosters find their forever home by ensuring a good match.   The Louisa Humane Society does not have a brick and mortar facility, so all of our pets are in foster care. Once approved, the foster parent will reach out to arrange a visit. The foster family can tell you all about their likes, dislikes, and little quirks.   The application and visit do not oblige you to adopt, but if you’re ready to take the feline home as your furry forever friend, their adoption fee is $150. ##2657997##

Story
An approved adoption application is required to meet me in my foster home -- fill out an application today! Our mailing address is Reston, VA and our cats fostered in NoVA and DC homes.  Washington, D.C.- Suburban Virginia/Maryland Area inquiries only, please! Ziggy is a resilient, sweet-natured boy who’s ready for a fresh start. He was brought to a rural shelter as a stray and likely had to fend for himself for a while — which may explain why he’s food motivated and appreciates every meal. When Ziggy first arrived, he seemed sensitive about being touched on his head. During his neuter appointment, the vet discovered and safely removed several old BB pellets from his head and jaw. Despite everything he’s been through, Ziggy’s is a lovable, sweet boy. After just a few days in his foster home, he began coming up for pets and now happily leans in for cuddles and lap time. His big, steady purr kicks in, and it’s clear how much he loves affection. He just needs a couple of days to acclimate in a new environment — and then his sweet personality shines. Ziggy would do best in a calm, patient home where he can continue to feel secure. In return, he’ll give you loyalty, cuddles, and enthusiastic appreciation when it's dinner time!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 14, 2026, 10:52 pm
