Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. This summer, Forget Me Not took on a major Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) project involving nearly 100 cats and kittens. Thankfully, many of the youngest kittens were friendly and full of potential — perfect candidates for our Happy Homes Adoption Program! These little ones are now safe, thriving, and ready to start their new lives in loving forever homes. Hershey is a short hair tuxedo boy with an estimated 7/1/25 date of birth. This guy is pretty easy-going, allowing his roommates to monopolize the feather toy. Bring out the laser pointer, though, and Hershey bounds into action! Love his tiny little white mustache. All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Hershey is a suggested minimum of $60 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!

SHY CAT SPECIAL - from now through Valentine's Day 2026, invite a SHY CAT home for just $20! Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Introducing the Chips Kittens These resilient little survivors came to us from a large feral colony where we conducted a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) project. While they weren't quite feral enough to be returned to outdoor life, they also needed some extra time and love to become fully socialized. Thanks to the dedication of our amazing staff and volunteers, these sweet but slightly shy kittens have made incredible progress and are now ready to find loving homes! Shortly after their rescue, the Chips kittens faced a big challenge — they were diagnosed with Feline Panleukopenia (the feline version of parvo). With round-the-clock care and lots of TLC, every single one of them pulled through — a true miracle! Today, they are happy, playful, and thriving. The only lasting effect is a bit of food sensitivity, which is easily managed with Royal Canin’s special gastrointestinal formula — and they’re doing great on it! If you're looking to adopt a kitten with a heartwarming rescue story and a whole lot of love to give, one of the Chips crew might just be your perfect match. Kettle Chip, while extremely handsome, is a very shy boy who will need a lot of time and a quiet home in order to fully blossom and grow comfortable with his people. Are you a cat whisperer? Kettle can't wait to hear what you have to say that will help him feel safe and loved. Here is more information on adopting a shy cat: https://anticruelty.org/pet-library/adopting-shy-cat We give shy cats an extended 60-day trial adoption period, to give you extra time to bond. All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Kettle Chip SHY CAT SPECIAL is a suggested minimum of $20 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! Doritos, born 3/20/25, is a cautious deep thinking girl with a gorgeous short tabby-and-white coat, who has good mousing instincts when not feeling frightened of humans around her. She will benefit from a calm, relaxed household, and the first time she jumps onto your bed to snuggle for the night, you will be SO HONORED. Here is more information on adopting a shy cat: https://anticruelty.org/pet-library/adopting-shy-cat We give shy cats an extended 60-day trial adoption period, to give you extra time to bond. Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Introducing the Green litter of kittens. These sweet babies were born at the shelter on 8/31/25 to Kalispell (also up for adoption), and will be ready to go home in mid-November. This litter includes: BASIL - female calico, mix of black and orange on either side of face PINE - female calico, symmetrical orange wings on either side of face FOREST - female black & white, black triangle in center of face, thin white forehead stripe MINT - male black & white, many black asymmetric splotches on face (adopted) OLIVE - female black & white, tiny black mustache & goatee, sweet and sensitive These cuties are coming along well with their socialization, and will continue to blossom nicely in their forever homes. They are all quite playful and enjoy both wand toys and chasing the laser dot! All should adapt quickly to their new homes and families, and will make terrific companions. They are young enough to learn about dogs and other cats, too! We'd love to see all kittens go to homes that have another young, playful kitten, or to send 2 of them out as a pair (which gives you a great pair discount rate), but we do not require pair adoptions. If you prefer to adopt just one, and you don't have a similarly aged kitten at home already, please read our information on Single Kitten Syndrome. Then, when you apply for a single kitten, please let us know in the "Comments" field how you plan to deal with the "kitten crazies." All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee is a suggested minimum of $75 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! This girl is a firecracker - super high energy, bouncing from one toy to the next with a brief lap stop for about 18 seconds of petting and affection before ZOOM - off to the next toy or playmate. All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Ghirardelli is a suggested minimum of $60 (more gratefully accepted). Story
Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Kevin is a one-of-a-kind kitty, literally. With his unique ear (the result of a major hematoma) and expressive meows, he’s got a look and personality that are all his own. He’ll greet you with chirps and chatter, especially when he’s feeling sociable, and he’s never shy about letting you know he’s around. Kevin isn’t one for being picked up or held, but don’t let that fool you, he loves affection on his terms. His absolute favorite? A good brushing session while he lounges like the handsome king he is. He’s the kind of cat who will rub up on furniture, nap in sunny spots, and quietly enjoy being part of your world without asking too much. Be forewarned, though, you must be savvy at reading kitty body language; when he has had enough brushing or petting, he says "NO MEANS NO" and has been known to smack his human friend with a murder mitten to make them stop. This slightly cantankerous guy is low maintenance, vocal, and full of character, perfect for someone who appreciates a cat with clear boundaries and a big heart. This guy is around 5-6 years old (best guess), so all out of kitten crazies and ready to just chill with you. Kevin would likely benefit from an indoor-outdoor lifestyle or a nice big catio, and several rousing wand-toy sessions per day to help him work out his energies. We feel he is a bit frustrated by his shelter captivity, which increases his sporadic cranky moments. We don't recommend Kevin for children, and the other cats in his cat room tend to give him the side-eye, wondering if he's in his calm mood or his cranky mood, so he may do best as an only kitty for a smart cat whisperer. All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Kevin is a suggested minimum of $50 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you!
