We have a few barn cats looking for a shop, barn, or outbuilding to call home! All of our barn cats are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines before adoption. These cats are FERAL. They are not friendly house cats looking for cuddles. They prefer to coexist with people while helping keep rodent populations under control. CHA does not place friendly cats or kittens as barn cats. Our barn cat program is reserved for feral cats that would not thrive living indoors and deserve a safe place to call home. They will also need the commitment to provide them with as needed vet care as well as shelter in a garage or barn. We ask that all barn cats go in pairs unless your property already has barn cats. Adoption fee: waived

The transition was incredibly difficult for her, and after many months of shelter life, she became withdrawn and depressed. Thankfully, Minnie is now in a foster home, where she’s been able to relax, settle into a routine, and show us who she really is. ❤️ And who is Minnie Rose? She's curious. She's smart. She's a little grumpy. She's quirky. And she knows exactly how she wants to be loved. Minnie absolutely LOVES her basket, and it's so important to her that it will be going home with her when she's adopted! 🧺 Her foster dad has earned a special place in her heart by spending time near her every morning and letting Minnie decide when she wants affection. More often than not, she chooses to climb right into his lap. She even gives her foster mom little nose kisses! 🥹 Minnie loves being near her people, but she isn't a cat who wants to be picked up, held, or constantly petted. She's very touch-sensitive and may try to bite if she's overhandled or startled by an unexpected touch. Minnie needs someone who will pay attention to her body language and respect when she says she's had enough. Most of her days are spent lounging, snoozing, observing her surroundings, and enjoying her people's company on her own terms. She's looking for a quiet, adult-only home with someone who will give her the time and space she needs to build trust. Minnie Rose isn't going to be the right cat for every home — and that's okay. 🌹 She doesn't need everyone to want her. There is a chance Waffle's symptoms may improve — or potentially clear up — once he's settled into a stable home environment. However, we can't guarantee that, and his adopter should be comfortable monitoring his symptoms and working with their veterinarian if he continues to have flare-ups. Waffle doesn't let a case of the sniffles define him.
