Story
All of our dogs are housed in private homes, we do not have a store or a shelter.  We do not show dogs to interested parties until they have an approved adoption application.  If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please fill out an adoption application on our website www.helpingshepherdsofeverycolor.com/adoption-application  You may also find us on facebook:  Helping Shepherds of Every Color Rescue. Bonnie is a lively Dutch Shepherd.  She was picked up running loose in the county, we're not sure what she was running to or from.   Bonnie has been treated for Heartworms and she had her teeth cleaned so she is ready to go. She loves treats and is very interested in everything that goes on around her.  She is in a foster home with other dogs. April 15, 2024, 10:47 am

Story
My foster mom says I'm the sweetest girl! I get along swell with the dogs in my foster home, love being outdoors, well mannered on leash, politely sit upon request, crate and house trained. I'm kinda shy at first, but have a huge heart so playing hard to get is just temporary for me. If just hanging out, eating snacks, taking strolls around the neighborhood and not bothering anyone is your chosen lifestyle we could be a match! Est. birthdate is 8/7/2023, about 25 lbs., my $300.00 adoption fee includes vaccines to up to date, spay and microchip.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet stripes! Stripes had a rough start in life.  He was found with an owner who neglected him.  He was filthy and not allowed to get out and play.  This sweet boy is very grateful for a yard to play in, clean place to sleep, food, and lots of petting and love from his foster mom. Stripes loves playing with furry toys and other dogs and they have helped him  build his confidence .   When he isn't playing with another dog he wants to be close to his human.   Stripes is a laid back guy who loves nothing more than a cozy bed, belly rubs and human snuggles. He can be shy at first but warms up and is very loving.  Stripes has been around a 3 y/o child and did well but was a bit skittish of kid activity.   Therefore, we believe Stripes would be more comfortable with older kids.      He is housetrained but finds comfort in his kennel so he kennels well to eat, sleep, and if foster mom needs to work  for a few hours.         Stripes loves car rides and does well just in the car uncrated.    He  would love an owner to go on adventures with and enjoy life together which will  help him continue to build his confidence.  . If Stripes sounds like the one for you and your lifestyle, please read info below regarding adopting. Save a Stray pets are in foster homes.  Please complete an application at www.saveastray.org to make arrangements to meet our pets.  Out of state meet and greets are conducted via FaceTime. This pet has been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, and is on heartworm and flea prevention and has adoption fee of $175 (local) - $500 (depending on transport destination).  Thank you for considering adding a homeless pet to your family. Story
🐾BRUTUS🖤 Brutus is a 1.5 year old Dutch Shepherd/Lab mix according to his embark testing! He’s a big cuddly goofball and loves to make his humans laugh! 🥰 This lanky boy is very smart and loves to do training/learn new things and keep his brain busy, which makes sense with his awesome breed mix! He’s very affectionate and loves to follow his person around and cuddle. He rides great in the car and is fully crate and housetrained. 💯 Brutus is a great swimmer and loves to play fetch in the water, his foster is currently training him for dock diving! Despite being very active and having lots of energy he has a great off switch, too. He can get excited very easily and has some manners that need work but his foster mama is having so much fun training him & he’s learning quickly. 🐶 If you’re interested in dog sports, Brutus would be a great match for you! Especially if you’re a beginner - he is so eager to learn and please.🥰 For his forever family, Brutus is seeking an active home with someone who is willing to keep up with his training and give him plenty of exercise. He thrives when staying active both physically and mentally. He does great with all sizes of dogs & older kids. He is a very social boy and would do great with some dog friends in his home! 🏡 Does Brutus sound like the adventure buddy you’ve been looking for? 🫶🏼 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel.
