Story
Location: Medicine Hat Area// Age: 1 Year, 8 months// Sex: Spayed Female// Energy Level: Medium// Dogs: Yes, Gabby loves other dogs// Cats: Yes, but wants to be friebds and will chase// Kids: Yes// If sunshine could take dog form, it would look a lot like Gabby ☀️ This brown-eyed beauty is the definition of joy on four paws — playful, loving, and just the right mix of goofy and smart. Gabby spends her days romping around the yard with her foster playmate, trading zoomies for cuddle breaks and never turning down a snack (seriously… she’s very food-motivated 🍗). Gabby loves dogs, thinks cats are fascinating (dog-savvy cats only, please — she really wants to be friends!), and she’s a total sweetheart with kids. She’s the kind of pup who fits right in — whether it’s family movie night, a weekend hike, or a road trip to somewhere new. She’s spayed, vaccinated, and ready to find her forever people — the ones who will include her in all their adventures and love her for her playful, happy heart. Because honestly? Gabby isn’t just a good dog. She’s a great dog — the kind that makes every day brighter. 💛If you would like the opportunity to meet Gabby - please complete an application on our website and one of our volunteers will be in touch to arrange a phone call: https://www.ruffstartanimalrescue.com/dog-application-form

Story
Location: Parkland County, AB// Age: Approx 8 years// Size: Large// Sex: Female spayed// Energy level: Low/medium// Vaccines: Up to date// Dogs: Yes// Cats: Yes// Kids: Not tested likely okey// Meet Josie the sweetest girl in the world, that is at least how her foster home described her. Josie is low to medium energy, however she loves going on walks. She is very easy going on the leash, no pulling and is a happy camper when it comes to greeting other dogs and people. Josie does great staying at home, she is not destructive at all. Whilst she had some initial issues with howling when left alone, her foster home is working on it with her and have noticed that keeping the TV on when gone helps. She is not the biggest fan of the crate, but does great being left out alone. This sweet girl is calm with other dogs and gets along well with them, she also shows no interest in the fosters cats which further shows how calm and sweet she is. Whilst Josie has not yet been introduced to kids, we believe that with a slow introduction and her calm demeanor she should not have an issue with them. Josie has no issues with resource guarding. She does enjoy the backyard and chasing the squirrels when she can, however on walks she perks up but doesn’t pull when she sees them. Josie is not a big fan of the car as it causes her quite a bit of stress, due to this we believe that she needs a home that does not require frequent car travel and maybe even an adopter close by. Her foster home is currently working on her excited jumps and recall, but they describe her as easy going and a true little gem. When Josie first came to her foster home, she was learning how to play with toys and now she absolutely loves playing fetch. This lovely girl would be an amazing addition to any home. If you think your home would be a good match for Josie, please complete an adoption application on our website and one of our team members will be in touch with you shortly via email to arrange a phone interview.
