Story
Location: Medicine Hat Area// Age: 1 Year, 8 months// Sex: Spayed Female// Energy Level: Medium// Dogs: Yes, Gabby loves other dogs// Cats: Yes, but wants to be friebds and will chase// Kids: Yes// If sunshine could take dog form, it would look a lot like Gabby ☀️ This brown-eyed beauty is the definition of joy on four paws — playful, loving, and just the right mix of goofy and smart. Gabby spends her days romping around the yard with her foster playmate, trading zoomies for cuddle breaks and never turning down a snack (seriously… she’s very food-motivated 🍗). Gabby loves dogs, thinks cats are fascinating (dog-savvy cats only, please — she really wants to be friends!), and she’s a total sweetheart with kids. She’s the kind of pup who fits right in — whether it’s family movie night, a weekend hike, or a road trip to somewhere new. She’s spayed, vaccinated, and ready to find her forever people — the ones who will include her in all their adventures and love her for her playful, happy heart. Because honestly? Gabby isn’t just a good dog. She’s a great dog — the kind that makes every day brighter. 💛If you would like the opportunity to meet Gabby - please complete an application on our website and one of our volunteers will be in touch to arrange a phone call: https://www.ruffstartanimalrescue.com/dog-application-form

Story
Hi, I’m Beau!People tell me I’m one handsome guy—and I won’t argue with that! I absolutely adore people and love to play, but cuddling might be my favorite hobby of all. I’m wonderful with kids and get along great with other dogs. I haven’t met cats yet, but I think I’d do just fine with them.I love to learn and already know lots of tricks and commands—and I’m always excited to learn more! I’m crate trained, potty trained, and ready to settle right into home life.I can’t wait to find my forever family. If you’re looking for a smart, sweet, cuddly pup who will love you with his whole heart, I’m your guy!

Meet Nala! Shepherd Mix – 75 Lbs.Nala is a very loving, loyal dog. She is super smart, loves kids and is great with other dogs. She loves to play! Nala knows how to sit, shake a paw and lay down. She is slower to trust new people, and is a bit leery of men, but if you give her a few minutes, she warms up quite quickly. She loves to give and receive love and seeks out affection. She would be a great addition to an active family. Let`s find Nala a home for the holidays!

Story
Meet Molly!Molly is a 5-year-old purebred German Shepherd with the heart (and energy!) of a puppy. Her absolute favorite pastime is playing fetch—she could chase a ball for hours—but when playtime is over, she’s just as happy curling up beside you for cuddles and a TV marathon.Molly is fantastic with kids, fully potty trained, and adores people. She’s incredibly smart and thrives on human connection. While she would ideally be the only dog in the home, she has lived with other dogs before and simply needs a little time to warm up. She tends to do best with dogs a few years younger or older than herself. She does experience mild separation anxiety, but she is not destructive—she just needs some decompression time and reassurance. With a little patience and love, she settles in beautifully. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and playful companion who will be your best friend through both adventures and quiet nights in, Molly is your girl. ??

Story
Imagine being just six weeks old, living outdoors in a rural community during freezing winter temperatures—surrounded by ten other dogs, competing for food, warmth, and survival. That was Link’s beginning. It’s a heartbreaking start, but it’s only one small chapter of his story. Link came into care with Megan's Rescue in the dead of winter—tiny, unsure, and still learning that the world could be kind. Since then, he has done nothing but grow. Now a young adult, Link is patiently waiting for the family he’s always deserved. Link is a happy, gentle soul with a playful streak. He adores his toys and has a special love for carrying sticks along on his adventures. He travels wonderfully in the car, is house trained, and crate trained—making him an easy companion to welcome into a home. He does well with other dogs, though he can show some resource-guarding tendencies, so continued guidance and structure will help him thrive. Because of his rough start, Link isn’t 100% confident in every situation yet—but he is eager to learn, eager to please, and highly food motivated, which makes training a rewarding experience for both of you. Above all else, Link loves people. He’s gentle, affectionate, and happiest when he’s by your side, building trust and soaking up love. Link has survived his hardest days. Now he’s ready for his best ones—could that be with you? 🐾
