Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)       Flynn is an amazing 5 month old brindle mix straight from Arkansas. He is super sweet and very smart. He has quickly picked up using a dog door and is working hard to sit and stay on command. Flynn is almost crate trained  He is being trained not to jump when greeted as we think he will be quite a big boy. He loves to cuddle with all humans including children and is very treat motivated. He is good with other dogs. He has not met any cats yet. Flynn has some energy but in comparison to other puppies he is very content relaxed.      All dogs are located in NY/NJ areaAll our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.

Story
Brynn is a beautiful girl with a beautiful personality. She ended up in rescue after being trapped by animal control. She’d been running loose in a neighborhood for nearly a month, with random people leaving out food. She’s a little shy at first but warms up quickly. She’s sweet, playful and oh so pretty! She’s good with other dogs but needs a home without cats. Brynn has interacted well with kids at previous events, but is not currently being fostered with any. Brynn is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines. Brynn is fostered in GA and will be attending our adoption event at the Durham Fairgrounds so fill out an application so you can be preapproved! Our pets are in CT, GA and PA foster homes. Dogs in PA may be able to come to CT prior to the event to meet adopters. Dogs in GA will arrive right before the event so you must come to the event to meet them. Fill out an online application to start the adoption process. Adoption Event May 17-19th Durham Fairgrounds 24 Townhouse Rd Durham. CT. **** Breed Experience or similar breed experience will only be considered***Name: HannahBreed: Dutch Shepherd MixAge: Under 2 years oldKids: 12+ Cats: NoDogs: NoHold onto your hearts, Hannah is hard not to fall in love with!! This beautiful girl came to MHS as a transfer from a local animal control partner. Hannah is estimated to be a little over a year old and has an equal amount of boundless energy as she has love to give!Hannah will require a home with Shepherd/Belgian Malinois, or similar breed experience. Hannah is extremely smart and loyal to her people, this girl knows all the basic commands, and then some! Hannah has a ton of energy so will require an active home that will give her a job to do to prevent boredom, and a home preferably with a fenced in yard so she can get all her energy out.Hannah does have a tendency to jump very high when she's excited and wants to say hello, so we are seeking a home with older, breed savvy children. Hannah would prefer a home without any other animals.Hannah is microchipped, UTD on her vaccinations, and is spayed. If you think you can give Hannah her forever home, please fill out an adoption application today!!!https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=27

Story
🐾BRUTUS🖤 Brutus is a 1.5 year old Dutch Shepherd/Lab mix according to his embark testing! He’s a big cuddly goofball and loves to make his humans laugh! 🥰 This lanky boy is very smart and loves to do training/learn new things and keep his brain busy, which makes sense with his awesome breed mix! He’s very affectionate and loves to follow his person around and cuddle. He rides great in the car and is fully crate and housetrained. 💯 Brutus is a great swimmer and loves to play fetch in the water, his foster is currently training him for dock diving! Despite being very active and having lots of energy he has a great off switch, too. He can get excited very easily and has some manners that need work but his foster mama is having so much fun training him & he’s learning quickly. 🐶 If you’re interested in dog sports, Brutus would be a great match for you! Especially if you’re a beginner - he is so eager to learn and please.🥰 For his forever family, Brutus is seeking an active home with someone who is willing to keep up with his training and give him plenty of exercise. He thrives when staying active both physically and mentally. He does great with all sizes of dogs & older kids. He is a very social boy and would do great with some dog friends in his home! 🏡 Does Brutus sound like the adventure buddy you’ve been looking for? 🫶🏼 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED.
